LAHORE: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar said on Thursday that the Constitution of Pakistan gives equal rights to every citizen of the country.

The chief justice was addressing the women judges conference in Lahore.Β 

He said that the Constitution provides the same basic rights to every Pakistani, adding that it is important toΒ know the law and consider things surpassing one's own ideas of justice.

Lahore High Court Chief Justice Justice Mansoor Ali Khan also addressed the gathering, where he said that attempts are being made to ensure aΒ transparent system of justice.

?We acknowledge that women face difficulties in the legal profession,? said Justice Mansoor.

He shared that the latest technology is being introduced to facilitate litigants.Β 

He further said that 1.2 million court cases are being heard in the province of Punjab.

Justice Mansoor said that the problems of the judges are being resolved on a priority basis.
