Michael Douglas, the Hollywood actor while playing one of the most suave characters in the history of cinema – Gordon Gekko, gave a stirring speech in the 1987 cult-classic 'Wall Street'. That speech, now immortalized because of the 'Greed is good' punch line, struck a chord with traders and bankers all over the world. The high of splitting millions in trades every day is something that corrupts even the most innocent and the movie aptly introduced the new breed of millionaires who were just concerned with multiplying profits.
But believe it or not, 'Wall Street' just scratched the surface when it comes to the riches and the excesses of the real 'Street'. Manhattan in New York City is home to some of the wealthiest organizations on the planet. It is also a domicile of Wall Street, the trading hub for the biggest financial markets in the world; a place where money never sleeps. It is estimated that the 'Street' controls an incredible $5 trillion in daily trading volume, which is the second largest in the foreign exchange market. And it is apparent that with such a large chunk of money movement, the Wall Street makes and breaks hundreds of millionaires every day. The kind of high these bankers experience can be defined by the luxurious life they live, on and off the street. These tales of traders, fund managers and bankers laced with themes of drugs, *** and money aptly depict the high life of Wall Street.
Bernie Madoff And The 'High' Life In 'North Pole'Bernie Madoff, the infamous Wall Street legend, can easily be crowned as the most successful ponzi scheme financer. He robbed his clients of $65 billion collectively and was finally caught in December 2008. Madoff, at 71, was charged with 11 felony counts and sentenced to 150 years in prison. And suffice to say, when you rob your investors off billions of dollars, you can sure live life king size.

Madoff was famous for throwing lavish parties and his traders loved him for the incredulous excesses that he had for their disposal. He brought so much cocaine to his personal office that it was dubbed as the 'North Pole'. The infamous schemer had people on payroll who were hired just to buy drugs for him and the company. The drug abuse at one time became so rampant that the main employee supplier had his desk covered with drugs most of the time.
But that's not it; Madoff would throw 'wild office parties sans spouses' with 'topless entertainers wearing only G-string underwear serving as waitresses.' His employees were having the time of their lives too, as one of them later revealed – 'the employees were taking office romance to another level and having late night affairs on the boss' sofa “with whomever they could find”.'
Madoff also had a thing for expensive escorts and masseuses. The fast-office culture allowed for these indulgences and anybody who questioned these choices was fired. Madoff kept a list of his favorite female masseuses in his personal telephone book which could be accessed by just a handful of his confidants.
Champagne, Gun-Toting Midgets & The Wildest Wall Street Party Of All TimeHedge fund manager Brett Barna hosted one of the wildest Wall Street parties of all time and got sued in process. The all-day #Sprayathon in 2016 was 'awash with Champagne, scores of bikini-clad women and costumed gun-toting midgets'. The 14-bedroom mansion in Bridgehamptons, the venue of the party, was allegedly trashed by more than 1000 guests who descended at the $27,000 Airbnb rental mansion. The owner, who sued Barna for $1 million gave the total measure of what actually transpired in that party:
“Brett came to me dropping Louis Bacon's name and saying he was a big deal with the Robin Hood Foundation. He said there would be 50 people at the event and it was for animal rescue. But the only animals there were the people, a thousand of them. They drowned themselves in Champagne, they had midgets they threw in the pool, they broke into the house, trashed the furniture, art was stolen, we found used condoms. So many people were there that the concrete around the pool crumbled and fell into the water. It was like 'Jersey Shore' meets a frat party. We are preparing a massive lawsuit . . . We're waiting to serve him. Brett was last seen on Sunday chugging Champagne with two midgets.”
The #Sprayathon annual bacchanal is quite infamous. In 2015, the same annual bacchanal crew caused a bush fire in the Hamptons. This party, however, takes the top spot for the wildest Wall Street party.
Death By KinkIn one of the most extreme cases of death by kink, Colin Birch, a 44 year-old former vice-president of Deutsche Bank paid women to taunt him for being a loser and hung to his death in an execution role play. Birch was turned down for a job on the same day that he died and had called Katie's Lovely Escorts to perform a mock execution.

Mr Birch was a regular at the escort service and had sent this text to order the mock execution:
“Just to clarify the role play. I will wear a harness to support me but will also have a noose round my neck for show. Girl will ask for execution fee and I will go to my place of execution. My crime is being a loser. Girl kicks away stool and laughs and walks back to car without looking back so to show she has no feelings. Important stick to the role.”
The girls who were sent for the role play didn't find anything wrong at first as Birch was wearing a harness. But as he asked those girls to kick the ladder, they laughed loudly and walked away after securing the 'execution money'. As one of the girls later returned to check on the client, he had already turned blue and screaming for help. They tried to resuscitate him but to no avail and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
