KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples' Party lawmaker and former information minister Sharjeel Memon said on Friday that either the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has dual standards or has made a deal with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

Speaking to the press ahead of the Sindh Assembly's session, Memon questioned why there is no uniform policy for putting names on the Exit Control List (ECL).

"NAB spokesperson says that they have an even-handed policy with everyone, who is he fooling?," he said, adding, "why cases against PPP lawmakers are not being heard."

Memon said that even arrest warrants have not been issued against him, and yet he is being put in jail unconstitutionally, and it appears that the NAB is in love with Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz).

Taking a jibe at the PML-N leader, he said that in the past Nawaz has remained involved in ousting PPP leader Benazir Bhutto's government.

He said that jail is the second home of PPP workers and the party leader Asif Zardari spent 11 years of his life in jail in bogus cases.
