Pakistan actress Mehwish Hayat paid tribute to pop icon Nazia Hassan during a concert held in Phoenix, Arizona. The actress took to the stage to cover Nazia Hassan?s song Boom Boom.

Boom Boom was the main title track from Nazia and Zohaib Hassan?s second album also of the same name released in 1982. The song composed by Indian producer Biddu was also featured in the Bollywood movie Star.

?Nazia Hassan to me will always remain the undisputed queen of pop and will continue to rule the world through her music forever and ever,? Mehwish wrote on her Instagram account.

According to the actress, singing the songs of the late pop icon filled her with pride and gave her great pleasure. 

Mehwish Hayat is no stranger to singing and made her debut behind the microphone in Coke Studio 9 alongside Shiraz Uppal in Tu Hi Tu.
