Kiran Bedi Shares Fake Images Of Monuments In Tricolour Twitter Trolls Her Like A Boss

It was India’s 68th Republic Day on January 26 and the whole world was left mesmerized when the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa in UAE, lit up in tricolours – saffron, white and green – on Wednesday night. Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also graced the event as the Chief Guest at the Republic Day parade. It is needless to say that this was one of the most beautiful sights that left our hearts beaming with pride.

Having said that, it was reportedly said to be the only building lit up in tricolour outside India. However, some geniuses took their patriotism to a whole new and decided to paint the world in saffron, white and green and to say the least found many people falling prey to their ‘marvelous’ creation. While you might have come across such pictures and chose to ignore it, there was one person who got overzealous with patriotism and got majorly trolled on Twitter for sharing the same. That person was none other than, Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Kiran Bedi. Bedi took to Twitter and shared the images that portrayed famous monuments like Leaning Tower of Pisa, Twin Towers, Statue of Liberty and the Big Ben in tricolor with the caption “Fantastic. Jai Hind.”

Those pictures were clearly fake but so perfectly done that for once we think even Adobe Photoshop users and creators might have surfed the internet to check whether there are any Indian roots or not. While Bedi might have her reasons to share the images, Twitter was in no mood to forgive this blunder. The social media giant started trolling her for falling prey to this Photoshop masterpiece. Here are some of the classic tweets that are sure to leave you rolling on the floor laughing.

While Bedi learnt this lesson the hard way, it’s a gentle reminder for everyone to not believe anything and everything that’s forwarded on WhatsApp.
