Rahul Dravid aka Jammy is undoubtedly one of the greatest batsmen in the history of Cricket. Probably that is why people call him 'Mr. Dependable'. During his time, Rahul Dravid took the Indian Cricket Team to great heights both as a fellow team member and as a captain, and now his son Samit is following his footsteps and turning into a great cricketer that the nation will soon look up to.

Samit was playing in the Karnataka State Cricket Association's (KSCA) BTR Cup Under-14 tournament and after looking at his performance; our belief in the phrase “Like Father, Like Son” has grown stronger. Samit, who was playing for Mallya Aditi International School, not only made a century but also took his team to victory by helping in setting a massive score of 500 for 5 in 50 overs.

However, Samit was not the highest scorer of the match. While, Samit scored a smashing 150; the star of the match was Aryan Joshi, son of veteran Cricketer Sunil Joshi. Aryan scored a massive 154 and together the two defeated Vivekananda School by a huge margin of 412 runs. The bowlers too supported the duo and knocked over Vivekananda for mere 88. 

Reportedly, in 2015 Samit was awarded the 'Best Batsman' in the U-12 Gopalan Cricket Challenge in September 2015. Two years ago, Samit represented Bangalore United Cricket Club (BUCC), which Rahul Dravid used to serve as the president. 

Rahul is currently coaching the Indian Under 19 team in New Zealand for the World Cup.
