KARACHI: A foreign national was shot dead on Monday in the metropolis' Clifton locality by unknown assailants, informed local police authorities.

According to the law enforcement authorities, the attackers managed to flee from the crime site near Zamzama Park and added that nine bullet cases of 9MM pistol were recovered. 

Police informed that a car bumped the vehicle of the foreigner from behind after which they shot at the car. Security forces confirmed that the foreigner died after suffering a gunshot wound to the head. 

A person sitting along with the foreigner ran from the car following the firing.

The authorities suspect the case to be of targeted-killing. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed yet.
