Let's begin with an extremely important question: How many times have you decided to work out from the beginning of a particular month? Every January, as a New Year resolution, maybe?
For most of us, that 'beginning of the month' never comes and we are stuck in a vicious cycle. But what if we tell you that working out and losing those extra pounds MIGHT just land you a modelling contract? Sounds too good to be true, doesn't it? Well, at least that's what happened with Gwilym C Pugh.

This absolutely gorgeous man that you see was like most of us for most part of his 20s. At least in terms of his lifestyle, that included massive amounts of junk food.
Back in 2006 when Gwilym was just 21 years old, he set up his own business. Obviously, it wasn't an easy task and required him working his ass off for 12 hours a day while sitting on a desk, err, his bedroom.Β He played basketball for Wales at the under-16 level following which he injured his knee. That resulted in him working from home and operating his life insurance company from his room and of course, putting on weight.

Although his business was doing okay, soon, he decided that he needs to get back to a healthy lifestyle.
He cut off takeaways and cleaned up his diet and eventually, started a folk-country band with one of his friends. Now you know where that 'singer' beard came from.

But that wasn't what made him gain a modelling contract immediately; it was actually Instagram that helped him.
He joined Instagram as a way to buildΒ his and the band's profile. By then he left his desk job, started hitting the gym and lost a massive amount of weight over a period of 4-5 years.

Thanks to his perfect beard and excellent body, he was spotted on Instagram by a clothing brand 'Nathan Palmer' and was chosen as the face of the brand.

Along with that, a well-known fashion photographer Jonathan Daniel Pryce, who was shooting a book about beards at the time decided to use a photo of him for the back cover of the book, which changed his life for good.

He is now signed with top London agency AMCK Models and has graced the covers of many magazines. He has also worked with multiple brands including Vans, Bud Light, Diesel and has also worked closely with David Beckham thanks to a Haig Club whiskey project.

But what is possibly his biggest achievement in his modelling career is that Gwilym is now an ambassador for Beckham's male grooming brand, 'House 99'.

Along with modelling, he is a keen photographer and his Instagram account is proof of the same.
