Flat Earther Blasted Off In A Homemade Rocket Just To Prove Earth Is Shaped 'Like A Frisbee'

We all know that people that believe that the earth is flat are the people we should not trust – obviously – and associate with.

But, what we can do is make fun of them, and tbh they just make it so easy, you don't even have to try joking about them, because they are already a joke.

Who doesn't love a good conspiracy theory, but when a theory involves the earth being flat, then I think it's time to rethink everything. There are a lot of famous flat-earthers; remember when rapper B.o.B wanted to launch his own satellites into space to prove that earth really is flat. He wanted to raise $200,000 to help him launch satellites into space in order to prove everything that is already a scientific fact and has been proven before.

Then, sometime after that came Mike Hughes, who I had crowned for the stupidest flat-earther ever (https://www.mensxp.com/social-hits/news/40868-this-man-is-going-to-launch-himself-into-space-in-a-homemade-rocket-to-prove-that-earth-is-flat.html )a few months ago, but he's back again to outdo himself. Loving the determination here, guys!

So, back in November, he said that he would launch himself into space in his homemade 'steam-powered' rocket using scrap metal, yes, such a full proof plan.

And, guess what? After months, he actually did it, and by that, I mean he did launch himself into 'space' and instead of proving that earth is flat, he proved that building your own rocket is a bad idea, something everyone knew but guess he needed some 'proof'.

He converted a mobile home into a ramp and modified it to launch from a vertical angle so he would not fall back to the ground on public land. Without any countdown, he propelled himself about 1,875 feet into the air on Saturday before a hard landing in the Mojave Desert. Apparently, he reached a speed he estimated to be around 350 mph before pulling his parachute, but his dropping was too fast, and had to deploy a second one.

After being checked out by paramedics, he said, “I'm tired of people saying I chickened out and didn't build a rocket. I'm tired of that stuff. I manned up and did it.”

“This thing wants to kill you 10 different ways. Am I glad I did it? Yeah, I guess. I'll feel it in the morning. I won't be able to get out of bed.”

He added, “At least I can go home and have dinner and see my cats tonight.”

Well, at least he kept his word, I have to give him that.
