AIADMK Cadres Took A Biryani & Alcohol Lunch Break During Their One-Day Hunger Strike

Hunger strike literally means not eating or drinking while demonstrating a peaceful protest. That's simple enough, right?

Well, I had to explain it because it's apparently not and I hate saying this cliché but seems like 'common sense is not that common anymore', and hence the definition.

And, who is this explanation mainly directed towards? It's the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK).

AIADMK decided to go on a one-day hunger strike as a way of putting pressure on the Centre to set up the Cauvery Management board. Seems like a normal way to protest, and moreover one day protest is not even that hard.

But, turns out none of the protestors actually tried to look up what a hunger strike entails. The fast was supposed to be from 8am to 5pm yesterday, which is such an easy task. People can have breakfast before 8 and then just have to last till 5 and then can even have dinner after.

But no, people don't have self-control; during the protest, the party cadres in districts like Vellore, Coimbatore and Salem were seen gorging on Biryani followed by consumption of liquor.

Reportedly, the entire cabinet of AIADMK took part in this 'hunger strike', with ministers and other leaders driving the protest in districts across Tamil Nadu.

I don't know who captured these hilarious pictures, but we should be forever grateful to them. What an expose!

Maybe they were trying their hardest, but just couldn't say no to biryani.

Moreover, they were having a whole party; along with biryani, they also had alcohol, now this is the kind of party I would like to be invited to.
