Amid a frustrating season in the Premier League, Leicester City reclaimed their long-lost tag of 'heroes' while continuing their fairytale run in the Champions League. Their 2-0 second-leg triumph over Sevilla surely makes their season's toils seem worthwhile.

A Champions League quarterfinal spot is theirs, and while conventional wisdom didn't predict that when this tie was drawn, the Foxes defied such wisdom thrillingly in front of a home crowd who must have thought they had already seen everything.

When the chips are down and you're striving to get back into a match, there are certain types of players who rise to the occasion. They can pick their teams up by the scruff off the neck and drag them back into matches, often through the sheer forces of will and determination.

And , unfortunately for Sevilla, there are players like Samir Nasri.

Nasri, who joined Sevilla on loan from Manchester City last summer, has been excellent for his side until he foolishly earned himself a second yellow card for head-butting Vardy with 15 minutes remaining in the match.

Sevilla were 0-2 down at the time but were definitely not out of the contest. Indeed, had Steven N'Zonzi scored from the penalty spot five minutes later, the match would have gone to extra-time. The visitors needed to remain composed with 15 minutes still to play, but the former Arsenal man saw the red mist and cost his side dear.

Nasri was absolutely panned on social media for his idiocy and understandably so. And, Vardy didn't escape criticism from the fans for his part in the altercation. As the replays suggested, Vardy made a meal of the contact and he was barely touched.
