Last year in November, we saw pictures from Deepika Padukone’s look test for Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s  next ‘ Beyond The Clouds’, an International set in India which went completely viral. Rumor has it, many reports were made that Deepika Padukone will be the leading lady of the film but nothing was ever confirmed. Later Deepika was rejected and many reports claimed that it was because of the PR drive and photo leak, well we know how enthusiastic DP’s PR can be! 

While the list of rumors kept increasing, there was no confirmation from the production houses for the same, where as it was claimed that the makers were looking for a fresh face and Deepika Padukone was never called on board for the film (but the look test, um!) .

After all the conjecture and rumors doing the rounds, the film has finally got its leading lady and she is definitely a breath of fresh air. Malavika Mohanan, daughter of renowned cinematographer KU Mohanan, will be seen making her debut in Majid Majidi’s next opposite Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khattar. The shooting has already started in Mumbai and the makers are really happy with their decision, and I think so are we, right?  We can’t wait to see the duo together!
