During the election campaign of 2014, the BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi explained the importance of getting back the money trapped in Swiss banks and all the black money that needs to be pushed back into the economy, so that 'jan dhan' account holders and the 'aam admi' could get around 15 lakhs each in their accounts. This speech won every heart in the nation, which resulted in him being elected as our Prime Minister.
In November 2018, right after the sudden demonetisation move sent shock waves across the country, a man named Mohan Kumar Sharma filed an RTI demanding information regarding the status of that 'promised' money and he also wanted to know how did the print media know about demonetisation even before it was announced.
As per a report in TOI the Prime Minister's Office finally sent an official reply to the query to the Chief Information Commissioner RK Mathur, which states that the information about Rs. 15 lakhs does not fall under the definition of word “information” as per the section 2(f) of RTI act while the second information doesn't come under the scope of section 2 (f) of RTI act. WHAT?!

Needless to say that the man wasn't too pleased with the response and now after reading this, we can't help but be a little baffled ourselves.
