There are things you don't do on a flight, and then, there are certain things you definitely SHOULDN'T do on a flight. This incident falls in the latter category.

As a kid, I loved pushing people aside just to grab the window seat, every time I travelled in a plane. Now, I use web check-in to virtually push people. I am sure I am not alone who loves the window seat. After all, it gives you the beautiful view of the sky, which you can later upload on your Instagram with some random philosophical quote as a caption. The deal is – it should not make any sense with the picture you're putting up.

But this man just gave all of us another reason to love window seats, more like a benefit – open it to get fresh air. The man in question is from China's Chengdu region, who decided to open the plane's window to get some fresh air right before the flight was taking off.

First of all, I did not know that opening the window was even legit or possible. But, that's not important; because what happened next will shake you up (with giggles)! Turns out he didn't open the window, but the plane's emergency exit. He didn't realize it before the door fell out and when it did, he started panicking.

The man was sitting at the rear of the plane and said that it was too stuffy and wanted to open the window to 'get some fresh air' before the plane took off. After the door was opened, the airport ground staff at the Mianyang Nanjiao Airport closed the door from outside and re-examined the flight. Because of this incident, the flight got delayed by 40 minutes. The man has been reportedly detained for 15 days and is expecting a fine.

We guess from now on, the cabin crew will make a special announcement 'Kindly don't try to open the windows at all.'
