After a gruelling home season including ODIs, Tests and T20Is, the Indian cricket fans now prepare themselves for the tenth edition of the country's cash-rich mega event - the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The loyalties of the Indian fans will once again split in favour of their respective cities as the eight franchises lock horns to stake their claim for this year's coveted title. But, while the excitement for some power-packed cricketing action comes to fore, the opening ceremony of this year's tournament is the one you need to watch out for.

With a glitzy mix of Bollywood razzmatazz and high-octane performances, the IPL opening ceremonies have proved to be a great source of entertainment in the past. But, this year, the entertainment level is going to shoot off the charts.

A one of its kind, the tenth edition of the IPL will witness not one, but eight different opening ceremonies. Every city hosting the tournament this year - Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Mohali, Mumbai, Pune and Rajkot - will host their own ceremony to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the competition.

The first opening ceremony will take place on Wednesday in Hyderabad which will be followed by the opening match of the season between last year's finalists Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

The various segments of the ceremony will focus on the Indian culture, the culture and tradition of the host cities alongside a highlight of the high points from the last nine editions of the tournament. And, if that's not enough, the pulsating performances from the Bollywood stars are bound to set your heart racing.

While the idea of hosting eight different ceremonies sounds interesting, the intricacies of each individual performance is yet to be ascertained.

According to the Broken Cricket, it is certain that some of India's legendary cricketers including Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly will be felicitated.

Speculations have also been rife that Bollywood actors Shraddha Kapoor and Tiger Shroff are amongst those who will perform at one of the opening ceremonies, other than Hyderabad.

If Pinkvilla, a Bollywood news and gossip website, is to be believed, Bollywood heart-throb Hrithik Roshan is likely to perform as well.

While the first opening ceremony is likely to hog the limelight, the opening match that follows later is nothing less than a cracker of a game.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore will be out for revenge against Sunrisers Hyderabad who dashed the hopes of Virat Kohli's men to clinch their maiden IPL title last season. Both the teams are expected to put on a show of their own and set the ball rolling for what promises to be an entertaining season.
