He made his debut back in 2004 in South Africa and became an irreplaceable player for the Proteas. Also known as Mr. 360 due to his excellent ability to smack shots in every possible direction, he made a name for himself as one of the most dangerous and destructive batsman ever.De Villiers shined in this IPL season as well, as part of the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Kohli, who is also a big fan of AB, posted a heartfelt farewell message for him on his Twitter.

Wish you all the best in everything that you do my brother. You've changed the way batting was seen in the time you've played international cricket. My best wishes to you and your family for this amazing journey ahead ðð @ABdeVilliers17 pic.twitter.com/uxtRAPl3zA

Sadly RCB could not make it to the IPL finals and Virat was all set to play county cricket in Surrey, but had to pull out due to an injury.
