  2. “Hum aapki khubsoorti ka raaz hai, aapke sarr ka permanent taj hai,” - yes, the narrator is talking about your hair and the very quirky voiceover by Vijay Raaz, in the beginning, sets the whole mood for Bala, and you are assured that what you have signed up for is not some half-baked dish. Amar Kaushik's new movie, which highlights the ordeal of a prematurely-balding young man, asserts on how our society is obsessed with one's appearance and almost neglects everything else, irrespective of how one is from the inside. Interestingly, the movie kills two birds with one stone as it's not only talking about the woes of a man who has lost his hair at the age of 25 but also targets the unhealthy obsession with fair skin, particularly for women. From attacking age-old, bizarre 'solutions' that help you make your hair grow back (like applying cow dung on your head!) to how fairness creams are being sold by luring darker-skinned people, the movie touches all aspects of our society's obsession with 'looking beautiful', without paying heed to the cost it comes at. © Maddock Films Ayushmann Khurrana, who we know by now has a knack of picking out-of-the-box scripts, shines bright once again in Bala. He is the perfect fit for a script like this, as his character is convincing and relatable. A man consumed by self-loathing and his continuous hair-loss makes him even more miserable and he desperately looks for a permanent solution to get back the perfect hair that he had in his childhood. How would you react if you were the hottest person in the school because of your hair and cut to the present, you are struggling to keep a lush mane on your head. It's pretty common knowledge that men are obsessed with their hair and premature balding is a subject which was neglected earlier but now, the movie is trying to create a healthy discussion around this matter © Maddock Films Khurrana adds a certain vulnerability to the character and makes a point to convey the message with some well-written dialogues in the movie. In the movie, Bala falls in love with a TikTok sensation Pari (Yami Gautam) who is only obsessed with looking good all the time (in a way, the movie also attacks the whole social media culture). Following a failed attempt to tell Pari the truth about his wig, the two get married and when Pari discovers the truth, her reaction is just epic. Truly, Yami has done a brilliant job and you will end up feeling mighty impressed by her work. © Maddock Films As I mentioned earlier, the movie has also dealt with how our society tends to look down upon darker-skinned women. In the movie, it's through Bhumi Pednekar's character, Latika that the director touches upon this much-talked-about, but often neglected issue in our society. Bhumi doesn't believe in outer beauty but focuses on the idea of accepting the real you. But somewhere, I feel the movie had more potential in terms of showing the predicaments faced by the dark-skinned people in our country. Well, I cannot really complain here since the movie is about premature balding and still, they have tried to incorporate this issue. The movie boldly attacks the idea of using fairness creams that promote the concept of fairness being equivalent to being beautiful. © Maddock Films All the three leads have given their messages loud and clear but it's always the supporting cast that helps the lead actors shine. In Bala, we have an ensemble cast that includes Saurabh Shukla, Abhishek Banerjee, Seema Pahwa, and Javed Jaffrey. They help in bringing the extra laughs and have given justice to their roles and somewhere, without them, the movie wouldn't have been this interesting. © Maddock Films Now, moving to technicalities, the movie's music and score blends perfectly well and glides smoothly with the narrative of the movie. It has been shot pretty well and there are no such bumpy rides in the film. To sum it up, Bala is a light-hearted comedy that hits the bullseye with the message being loud and clear, which is to accept the real you and overcome the fear of body shaming. Takla, Nata, Mota, Patla, Gora, Kala are just tags and they don't define the real you. Bala is a must-watch indeed and I strongly recommend you to check it out at the earliest. View the full article

On the work front, Abhishek was last seen on the big screen in 2018 in Anurag Kashyap's film, Manmarziyaan (2018) with Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. Well, his fans are looking forward to seeing him back on the silver screen again, soon. View the full article
  4. There was a lot of discourse going on regarding Karva Chauth yesterday, but well, millions of people celebrated the festival, including Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. Since it was Priyanka's first Karva Chauth as a married woman, it must have been pretty exciting for her and she was all decked up for it at a Jonas Brothers concert as Nick is currently on tour. It wasn't a surprise to see even Nick all ready in his kurta, celebrating Karva Chauth with PeeCee. They both shared a few pictures, but Nick's caption for the pictures has now become a talking point online. His message about Priyanka, though quite sweet, is also pretty cheesy. My wife is Indian. She is Hindu, and she is incredible in every way. She has taught me so much about her culture and religion. I love and admire her so much, and as you can see we have fun together. 5. The Indian cricket team began their ICC World Cup 2019 journey on a high with a brilliant and a tactically sound victory against Faf du Plessis' South African team, handing them their third straight loss of the tournament and spoiling it for them even further. Led by an extremely lucky Rohit Sharma who managed to score his 23rd ODI ton while being dropped by the Proteas fielders on numerous occasions, Team India was able to get this victory with extreme ease and comfort. However, ahead of the match, while the Men in Blue were getting a lot of messages of good luck and positivity, there was one message in particular that caught our attention: YOU CAN DO IT! #WWEChampion @TrueKofi wishes @imVkohli, @msdhoni and the entire #TeamIndia all the luck and positivity! @ICC #INDvSA pic.twitter.com/ASGVgGYsqF — WWE (@WWEIndia) June 5, 2019 Well, it seems as if the WWE superstar and champion Kofi Kingston is a fan of Indian cricket and is rooting for Virat Kohli's Team India during the Cricket World Cup 2019 in England. “What's going on y'all, it is your WWE champion Kofi Kingston here with a very important message for the 'boy in blues',” said the athlete. “Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni and the rest of Team India, I want to wish you guys the utmost luck in the ICC cricket cup...” Kingston knows a thing or two about positivity. As a member of one of the most successful trios in WWE history, The New Day member put his body on the line every week in order to entertain his fans without complaining about the lack of opportunity for the greatest title in wrestling entertainment, he had experienced for more than five years. And then finally, when the opportunity presented itself to the in-ring performer, Kingston capitalised on it and became the WWE Champion by defeating Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania 35 to fulfil his dream. Kingston's narrative resembles that of the Bleed Blue team who, with all their potential and qualities were waiting for the opportunity to win the cricket world championship for their nation for the third time and now that they have the opportunity to do so, are ready to capitalise. Indian fans of wrestling and cricket got to Twitter to reply to the 37-year-old high-flyer: Thank you ð𤠗 Shena brar (@imshena_) June 6, 2019 We did it in the first game..ðð®ð³ð®ð³ð — Abhishek (@abhi3627) June 5, 2019 We did it. — Vivek singh (@Singh_viveksi) June 5, 2019 We did it. — Vivek singh (@Singh_viveksi) June 5, 2019

If you are big on travelling, you probably already know this, but in case you are not into travelling as much, you might have still heard lots of people say that the best time to visit Japan is during the cherry blossom season. (@bunnytokyo) on Mar 28, 2019 at 5:00am PDT In all honesty, we couldn't agree more. However, this year's cherry blossom season in Japan came with a unique twist of fate. The intricate pink blossoms bloomed sooner than their usual blooming cycle. Why? It is all thanks to the above average temperature during autumn last year, that is responsible for this change in their blooming clock. A report on 'Travel Leisure' suggests that higher than usual temperatures in 2018 is making the flowers bloom sooner than before in parts of the country. In simpler terms that means that climate change is impacting with the blooming cycle of cherry blossoms. But that does not change the fact that no matter what it is that we care about, it's getting affected by climate change. From warmer summers and colder winters, to melting glaciers, rising seawater levels, sudden flash floods to wildfires, and of course species of flora and fauna getting extinct, the list in a long and disheartening one. This season's cherry blossom blooms are just a little reminder for us to take things a little more seriously and do something about it before it's too late, for our own sake if not anything else. 7. As a man, the very thought of being in constant and excruciating pain for days, every single month for the better part of my life, and that too because of no fault of my own, just sends chills down my spine. It goes beyond my imagination as to how women manage to get through the day while excelling at whatever it is that they choose to do, whilst suffering through such horror. But apparently, this man on Twitter clearly seems to understand their pain (https://www.mensxp.com/special-features/features/48030-how-far-have-indian-men-progressed-when-it-comes-to-menstruation.html) and even has an example of what exactly hurts more than that. Until women experience this, I don't wanna hear about period pains. pic.twitter.com/8Bgr7Ivyy6 — ð§¨â (@__sargee) March 15, 2019 So, just to get this man fact-checked on his comment, I showed his tweet to some of the brilliant ladies at MensXP, and this is how they reacted: “Hah. Okay, first of all, comparing the pain of getting one's knees scabbed to that of having your insides twisted every month is…well, pure garbage! Also, I would like to have this gentleman get his knees scabbed on a 'monthly' basis. If he is able to live through that, yeah, then I am ready to have an actual conversation with him.” - Marina Paulose, Senior Copy Editor. “I agree with him… only if he gets poked/punched on that bruise every month for four to five days constantly.” - Apoorva Sharma, Intern. “Could have agreed if the comparison was even remotely as sinister as the period pains. Come up with something better, then we will talk!” - Asmita Shaw, Intern. “Well, since the gentleman has never lived through hours of lower abdomen cramps, every single month close to 500 times throughout their life, I suggest he keeps his mouth shut. And if at all he needs a practical demonstration of what hurts worse, I am more than willing to kick him between his legs, because that's how bad period pains can be.” - Devlina Datta, Writer. Clearly, this man who goes by the Twitter handle '@__sargee', has zero knowledge of how unbearable these cramps can be and unsurprisingly, became public enemy number one on the social media site: pic.twitter.com/w4CVndKKed — Melisa Garcia (@MelisaG81561023) March 17, 2019 Why some people have to disrespect the woman, the mom that suffered to give them birth 𥺠— gameslister.com (@GameslisterC) March 16, 2019 Until men experience the involuntary pain of abuse, child birth and oppression I don't want to hear about little scrapes on knee. — ð¸A I D E Nð¼ (@Peachy_RM) March 15, 2019 I don't understand. 8. Netflix India Is lately expanding, with a lot of interesting regional content coming up for the audience. One such Marathi movie called '15th August' has already created a lot of buzz for its feel-good vibe and content. The trailer just came out and we have to say it's a breath of fresh air. This 'slice-of-life' movie is based on the residents of the Gandhi 'chawl' in Mumbai where they are forced to come together on Independence Day due to certain situations that get them together. One story has a couple dealing with the dilemma of the guy and his commitment issue, the other parallel story is about a young boy's hand being stuck in a hole in the ground. All the mayhem and mess get the residents to get together and help each other. While doing so, they face some innocent questions about their own lives and face their own truths. © Netflix The movie is produced by actress Madhuri Dixit and her husband, Dr. Sriram Nene. You can stream it on Netflix from 29th March.
  9. After serving a one-year ban in lieu to the infamous 2018 ball-tampering scandal, David Warner is geared up to make up for the lost time on the cricket field as he prepares himself to lead Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). While the upcoming edition of the IPL gets rolling from 23rd March, Warner and his 'Orange Army' will be seen in action on 24th March when they travel to the hallowed Eden Gardens to take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their opening match. On the other hand, the Hyderabad fans will also get to root for their team when they lock horns with Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium in their first home game on 29th March. And, amid all the buzz, Warner has come up with a special message for Hyderabad fans. .@davidwarner31 is back and he has a special message for you. "Hi everyone, this is David Warner, I've a special message for all the Orange Army fans thank you for showing us all the love and support for all these years. Now it's our time to give back to our loyal fans," he said in the video. But, that wasn't all. Warner also revealed that as many as 25,000 seats (for their first home game) have been made available for Hyderabad fans at just Rs 500. © Twitter/@SunRisers The 32-year-old star batsman had led the Hyderabad-based franchise to their maiden IPL title in 2016 after defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the summit clash. However, his absence last season saw Kane Williamson taking over the reins as captain. Hyderabad was on the verge of claiming their second IPL title after securing their berth in the final. But, a returning Chennai Super Kings brigade broke their hearts following an eight-wicket triumph that saw them claiming their third IPL title. Going into the twelfth edition, the availability of Warner will play a key role in Hyderabad's title challenge this year.

He was recently in the news for opening up about his exit from Kangana Ranaut starrer 'Manikarnika'. However, today he has caught everyone's attention for a completely different reason. Earlier this morning, Sood took to Twitter and Instagram to share a heartfelt message on his father's second death anniversary. pic.twitter.com/QIl9yJAw5e — sonu sood (@SonuSood) February 7, 2019 Sonu's father, Shakti Sood, passed away at the age of 77 on 7th February 2016 due to a cardiac arrest at their Punjab residence. The message seems to be etched in pain that the actor doesn't seem to have gotten over yet. The words also hit right in the feels when it comes to our feelings towards our parents. It reminds us to be grateful for the biggest blessing of our lives in the form of our parents, who are our biggest inspiration and cheerleaders. More strength to Sonu on this day.
  11. The new generation of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has seen some really brilliant talent making their way to the biggest stage of them all. Even with some of the most established wrestlers like AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura making their WWE debut a couple of years ago, the biggest name of the new era remains that of Roman Reigns. Making his last WWE appearance all the way back in October'18, Reigns revealed to his fans that he was battling Leukemia for the past 11 years and had to go on a long break because of the in-depth recovery process. The 'Big Dog' was therefore forced to give up his title in a winter episode of Monday night RAW last year. Thank you to everyone who's reached out...I can't put into words what it means to me. Your energy and positivity motivate me to get better quickly to get back in the ring, but for now I'm going to spend time with my family and focus on health. Thank you - Joe/Roman — Roman Reigns (@WWERomanReigns) October 23, 2018 However, it appears that Roman's recovery process is coming to fruition as the Samoan is all set to make an appearance in The Fast & The Furious spin-off 'Hobbs & Shaw' alongside his cousin and The Chosen One, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson this August. © Universal Pictures Dwayne Johnson was extremely proud of his cousin's debut performance during the shoot of 'Hobbs & Shaw' and took to Twitter to express his affection towards the former Shield member. He also commended how Reigns has shown “perseverance and strength” in his battle against the progressive disease. He also mentions how Roman's recovery has led to the upliftment of his consciousness. Very proud of him. His leukemia recovery has elevated his state of mind to a whole other level. And it was fuuuun to go legit beast mode with my cousin in our movie where he plays my brother. #LetTheBodiesHitTheFloor #HobbsAndShaw AUG 2nd. https://t.co/bqpLFQC1Z1 — Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) January 28, 2019 Roman Reigns has been criticised for his poor performance with the mic - an integral part of becoming successful in the business as, apart from the in-ring techniques, the 'promos' play a major role in the fans or the 'WWE Universe' loving or hating a character. Even John Cena bashed 'The Guy' for not preparing himself before shooting a promo, which led to the creation of some serious buzz in 2017. With a bad name in what is essentially 'acting', it would be interesting to see how well the wrestler does in his silver screen debut.
  12. The world's most popular messaging platform is implementing an odd method of stopping the flow of misinformation and 'fake news'. WhatsApp will now start limiting users to forwarding a message only five times, in yet another attempt to curb down on the spread of misinformation. WhatsApp users on Android and iOS will no longer be able to forward messages to more than five individuals or groups. © Reuters The spread of misinformation has been a matter of concern for a couple of years, after multiple elections have been suspected to be swung using fake news. With the upcoming General Elections in India, WhatsApp has been under immense pressure to reduce the malicious spread. We've already witnessed multiple incidents of mob lynching based on fake news and in the end, there's hardly any accountability. © TIME WhatsApp says that the decision to limit forward messages to five chats has been taken globally after evaluating user feedback. WhatsApp released a plethora of ads to make users more aware and cautious towards the spread of fake news. The app previously allowed up to 20 forwards per message. Messages can still be forwarded to groups, with each group including up to 256 people. The company says the measures reduced forwarding by 25 per cent globally and more than that in India, which had one of the highest forwarding rates in the world. © BCCL In an update to its blog, WhatsApp said the move will help keep "WhatsApp focused on private messaging with close contacts." A text message that has been forwarded to a new recipient is marked as forwarded in a light grey text but otherwise appears indistinguishable from an original message sent by a contact. The app's end-to-end encryption allows groups of hundreds of users to exchange texts, photos and video beyond the purview of independent fact checkers or even the platform itself. Last year, to combat the issue, the company also rolled out 'Suspicious Link Indicator' feature that locally detects suspicious links and notifies the recipient before they are opened. © Reuters With the new update, WhatsApp is bringing a few additions as well, including fingerprint unlock, third-party stickers integration, 3D Touch action for Status, and dark mode. WhatsApp's parent Facebook has been mired in controversy ever since the Cambridge Analytica scandal and its list of problems is constantly increasing.
  13. Beating all the odds and going against everyone's expectations, 'Sasural Simar Ka' actress Dipika Kakar Ibrahim took the 'Bigg Boss 12' trophy home. It was a great, but controversial victory for her, as many 'Bigg Boss' fans felt that it was unfair to make her the winner instead of her 'Bhai' Sreesanth. © Twitter This season of 'Bigg Boss' was all about 'vichitra jodis', but eventually all the pairs got divided and it was the jodi of 'Sreepika' that turned into the strongest force against everyone. The 'brother-sister' duo became inseparable from there on, as Dipika stood by Sreesanth during crucial times. While their respective fans stand divided on her victory, there are no hard feelings between Dipika and her 'Bhai' Sree and her latest post is proof of the same. © Twitter Recently, after getting back on social media, Dipika posted an emotional message for her Sreesanth, thanking him for being with her in this difficult journey. 15. Imagine waking up to 40 unread messages and all of them happen to be 'Good Morning' forwards and jokes sent by your parents, on various Whatsapp groups you share with them. I won't be surprised if your mother sends you a 'Good Morning' message while sitting next to you (because my mom does that). The point is, our parents love to forward the same thing to every group and individual possible. But, when Lady Gaga did something similar, she got trolled on social media. She definitely didn't send anyone a 'Good Morning' message, but she did sound like a record player stuck on a single line. From asking about movie characters, story plot to chemistry with the co-actor and working with them on the sets, celebrities get bombarded with tons of questions on promotional tours. And things were no different for Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga, who is currently busy doing press tours for her movie 'A Star Is Born', was also asked about her experience of working with Bradley Cooper. She said, "There can be 100 people in a room and 99 of them don't believe in you but all it takes is one and it just changes your whole life." And that one is Bradley Cooper. Sounds familiar? Well, it's because we've heard it before, then she said it again and again and AGAIN. At least, now Bradley knows that she is really grateful towards him. 16. A slew of social issues have found millennial voices, but mental health awareness still remains a taboo of sorts and Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone is out to change exactly that. The actress, who has always broken the glass ceiling by coming out in the open about her own troubles with depression, once again pledged support to the cause on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, on Wednesday. “In 2014, I was diagnosed with clinical depression. But, in India, 90% of people who suffer from depression don't seek help,” she said in a video shared on her Twitter account. “Depression is like any other illness that requires intervention.” In her message, she also normalised mental health disorders and urged patients to share their stories using the #NotAshamed hashtag. #NotAshamed pic.twitter.com/DgewpgBpn5 — Deepika Padukone (@deepikapadukone) October 10, 2018 A study conducted by the World Health Organization in 2015 showed that one in five Indians may suffer from depression in their lifetime, which is equivalent to 20 crore people. Due to the stigma associated with mental illness, a lack of awareness, and limited access to professional help, only 10-12 per cent of these sufferers will seek help. Another study, carried out by Assocham last year, showed that clinical depression has risen by around 50 per cent in the last eight years. It does not make discernible urban-rural demographic differences and also states that most people who commit suicide are below the age of 44. It adds that 42.5 per cent of employees in the Indian private sector are afflicted with general anxiety disorder or depression, as compared to government employees. A private sector employee in India works for a minimum of 48-50 hours a week when compared to 33 hours a week in the UK and 40 hours a week in the US. In addition, the pay in these developed countries is almost six times more even after deducting the indexing prices and cost of living. According to 'Mental Health: TLLLF National Survey Report 2018,' commissioned by The Live Love Laugh Foundation (TLLLF), more than 75 percent of participants stated they would always feel sympathetic towards mental health patients. In the same vein though, they also exhibited feelings of fear (14 per cent would always be fearful), hatred (28 per cent feel hatred sometimes or always), and anger (43 per cent feel angry sometimes or always) towards people with mental illness. More than a quarter admitted that they would always be 'indifferent' towards people with mental illness. These admissions indicate the prevalent stigma in society, which when clubbed with an acute shortage of mental health specialists, presents the grim reality of the situation in India. The death of the globe-trotting, fine-dining Anthony Bourdain – he committed suicide in a Paris hotel room earlier this year – brought to fore our failings on a global level as well. Is there a solution, then? Diverse programmes and legislation, including the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram and the Mental Health Care Act, could prove to be steps in the right direction for patients in India. But, as Harvard professors Vikram Patel and Shekhar Saxena write in their Indian Express column, proper implementation would require a genuine partnership of a diverse range of groups. From the mental health and development communities to policymakers and civil society, one and all need to come together to transform mental health across the country. However, Apple fans who were stationed outside the store were greeted with a surprise by another smartphone maker — Huawei. © Twitter In a brilliant yet snarky marketing gimmick, some people were spotted wearing Huawei shirts and handing out free power banks to hundreds of Apple fans in line. This was first reported by tech360 and here's what they posted: According to sources, approximately 200 power banks were handed out to people in the line. Here are some of the images shared by Huawei: © Twitter © Twitter © Twitter Each power bank came with a message that basically said “You'll need it”. We have to commend Huawei for this ingenious marketing campaign that basically targets the iPhone's battery life. 18. Not too long ago, an Indian sportsperson made an emotional appeal when barely 2000 people showed up to watch him and his team play against Chinese Taipei (which India won by 5-0). Yes, you guessed it right! We're talking about captain Sunil Chhetri, who urged his fans to come and see the match and said, "Abuse us, criticise us but please come to watch the Indian national team play." © Twitter People were so moved by his appeal that the subsequent matches against Kenya and New Zealand were sold out. At times fans' support is all that our sportspersons need to boost their morale and we've already seen the amount of difference fans can make in the lives of their favourite players. Fast forward to the present time and another captain has now urged his fans to never give up on him and his team. We're talking about Indian skipper Virat Kohli who posted an emotional message on social media, after the Indian Cricket team lost against England second time in a row, in the ongoing Test series at Lord's. England won by an innings and 159 runs. Reportedly, it was the first innings defeat since the Oval Test (2014) and the first-ever innings defeat under Kohli's Test captaincy. © Reuters Victory or loss is part and parcel of every sport and owning up to it and taking a lesson from it is one of the hardest things to do and possibly the best way to go about the defeat. And Virat Kohli who is known for unabashedly expressing himself, did not shy away from facing defeat and wrote this message, which will make every fan fall in love with him all over again. He wrote, "Sometimes we win and other times we learn. You never give up on us and we promise to never give up on you either. Onwards and upwards." While people are busy bashing Kohli and his strategies, let's not forget that Kohli is standing against the English players like a wall and putting a tough competition in front of them. India will be playing the third match on 18th August at Trent Bridge.

  20. The legendary Nargis Dutt had a huge influence on the life of her son Sanjay Dutt. She was responsible for shaping his personality, his perspective and helped him in getting rid of his drug addiction. © Twitter In fact, Rajkumar Hirani's biopic 'Sanju' brilliantly portrayed the importance of Nargis in Sanjay's life. An interview from 1991surfaced on the web recently, where Sanjay, for the first time, talked about coming in terms with his mother's death. Nargis, who gave us some extraordinary films, succumbed to cancer just three days before Sanjay's debut film 'Rocky' hit the screens. She was adamant that the movie's premiere should not be postponed no matter what. As the family bid her goodbye, 'Rocky' released exactly on the date it was supposed to. © FoxSTarHindi “When my mother died, I did not cry, had no emotions – nothing. It was after 2 years that I was sitting in this group that all of a sudden this guy started playing the tape,” Sanjay says in the video. But when his friend played that recording of Nargis's final words from her deathbed, Sanjay confessed that he, “burst into tears and cried and cried for hours.” © Twitter In the audio recording, one can hear Nargis saying, “More than anything, Sanju, keep your humility. Keep your character. Never show off. Always be humble and always respect the elders. That is the thing that is going to take you far, and that is going to give you strength in your work.” The video is so hard-hitting that it did give us goosebumps. Check out the heart-breaking clip here: This tape even plays a vital part in Hirani's film, though the content is a little different. He showed us how due to drug addiction, Sanju couldn't digest his mother's (played by Manisha Koirala) death. It was only a year later, when his father (played by Paresh Rawal) played his mother's tape, that he got the courage to fight his addiction. © FoxStarHindi Until the film released, not many knew how Nargis' death had impacted Sanjay. The actress died of pancreatic cancer in 1981, at the age of 51. It was her tape that transformed Sanjay and changed his life for the better.

  22. Depression is still considered a taboo subject in many societies. Despite many celebrities coming out and speaking about the struggles they have gone through while fighting depression, not many have the courage to talk openly about it. But, the fact remains, that this dangerous mental health issue is only growing and silently killing people. © Twitter Depression isn't just about having a bad day and then dwelling on it incessantly. It's about the hollowness and emptiness that people feel constantly without any hope in the near future. Their failure to even understand what they are going through is what makes things worse. While talking about this issue is still difficult, it is a good sign that influential people like Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan and many more have started speaking about it in the forefront. And now, actor Anupam Kher is also doing his bit to make a difference. He has released a new video highlighting the subject and you just can't miss it. 25. Given the kind of star players they've had over the years, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have undoubtedly established a reputation as one of the biggest underachievers in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). They have reached the tournament finals on three occasions, but just can't seem to go past the last hurdle. And, the eleventh edition of the IPL has proved to be no different. Despite boasting some of the biggest names in Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, RCB suffered an early exit from the IPL with just six wins in 14 league games this season. But, while the team's ouster left their fans disappointed, the fact that the IPL enthusiasts wouldn't be able to see De Villiers exploits in the tournament anymore caused disarray even amongst the supporters of the rival teams. Everyone was ruing the fact that they would have to wait a full year to see ABD work his magic on the field again. But, that was nothing compared to what the cricket fraternity endured on 23rd May when the South African cricketer announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket. I've made a big decision today pic.twitter.com/In0jyquPOK — AB de Villiers (@ABdeVilliers17) May 23, 2018 In a heart-breaking video message, the 'Superman of cricket' revealed: "I have decided to retire from all international cricket with immediate effect". "After 114 Test matches, 228 ODI's and 78 T20 Internationals, it is time for others to take over. I have had my turn, and to be honest, I am tired. This is a tough decision, I have thought long and hard about it and I'd like to retire while still playing decent cricket. After the fantastic series wins against India and Australia, now feels like the right time to step aside," ABD added. As soon as the news surfaced, the cricket fans across the globe mourned the loss of De Villiers from international cricket. There were all sorts of reactions flooding the social media, not only from the fans, but also from cricket bigwigs and celebrities - all pointing to one obvious fact that cricket will no longer be the same without ABD. Amongst the reactions came a special message from none other than Virat Kohli's wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. Kohli and ABD have played for RCB in the IPL over the years and the dynamic duo share mutual respect and admiration for each other. Thus, it's quite understandable to see that their better halves Anushka and Danielle de Villiers also share a good relationship with each other. In life, what we do to positively impact the lives of others has greater meaning than what we accomplish for ourselves. You've managed to do both beautifully & always with such grace & integrity. Wishing you & Danielle a blessed, happy life ahead ð @ABdeVilliers17 @DanielleDV27 — Anushka Sharma (@AnushkaSharma) May 23, 2018 Taking to Twitter, Anushka had nothing but praise for De Villiers. Wishing you & Danielle a blessed, happy life ahead @ABdeVilliers17 @DanielleDV27," she tweeted. De Villiers made his international debut in the Test series against England in 2004 and played in a limited-overs match a year later. The 34-year-old has represented South Africa in 114 Tests, 228 ODIs and 78 T20Is. He scored 8,765 runs in Tests, 9,577 runs in ODIs and 1,672 runs in T20Is. The last time he scored a hundred was against Australia during a Test match in March. He holds the record for the fastest ODI hundred, reaching the three-figure mark in a mere 31 deliveries against West Indies in January 2015. He also clinched the feat for the fastest Test century by a South African, scoring a 75-ball ton against India in 2011.
