Huawei's sub-brand Honor has been expanding its portfolio in India this year and has managed to fill up almost every segment with one of its product. Since the Honor 9 Lite, the brand has established a distinctive design language consisting of a glass backing that comes with multiple layers of nano-coating to achieve a mirror-like effect. 

The phone consists completely of glass and metal and also sports 2.5D curved glass on the front. The design is refreshing in the segment as all other competing devices are just a simple slab of metal.

Honor launched the 9N in China as the Honor 9i and it has been doing fairly well in the company's homeland. The device is exclusively available via Flipkart in India and the company has been teasing it on social media for quite some time. 

Coming to the specifications, the Honor 9N sports a 5.84-inch (1080x2280 pixels) Full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. Yes, it sports a notch on the top that houses the front camera and an array of standard sensors.

The device is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC, 4x 2.36GHz and 4x 1.7GHz. It comes with 4GB RAM and two internal storage options, 64 and 128GB. It also has a microSD card slot for expandable storage. Though the device is dual SIM, it has a Hybrid SIM slot, meaning you can either use two SIMs or one SIM and microSD card. 

On the rear, it sports dual 13+2-megapixel image sensors which are coupled with AI-powered features like beautification and automatic scene recognition. On the front is a 16-megapixel camera that also supports AI-enabled improvements. The phone also has a fingerprint scanner on the back and also supports Face Unlock for authentication.

Powering these internals is a 3000mAh battery that should easily get you through one day of normal usage on a single charge. On the software front, the Honor 9N runs on EMUI 8.0, that is based on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

In India, the device is priced at Rs 11,999 for the 3GB+32 GB variant, Rs 13,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant and Rs 17,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant. It will start selling exclusively on Flipkart starting 31st July.
