Here's Why VVS Laxman Publicly Applauded A Dehradun ATM Guard & Called Him 'Incredible'

India recently celebrated its 72nd Independence Day and as much as it hurts to accept it, we all know there is still a long way ahead for our country to develop and stand along with other major powers of the world.

However, it is equally true that it isn't everyday when we stumble upon people who are making big contributions to our country's growth and future despite their limited means.

Such people are rare to come by and we must recognise and applaud the ones we actually do happen to chance upon, and that's just what VVS Laxman did earlier today.

In a country as big as ours, which is struggling to make education accessible to each and every child, even to the ones living far away in little nooks and hamlets in the most distant parts of the country, what we need is more than just schools and educators to ensure this dream is turned into reality.

We need dedicated and passionate people who are willing to help improve the situation with their own efforts and VVS Laxman happened to stumble across such an individual, who goes by the name of Brijendra Singh and teaches poor kids living near the ATM where he works as a guard.

Here's how Laxman shared his experience on social media:

Meet a true hero Brijendra , who works as a security guard at an ATM in Dehradun. Having retired from the army, he still continues to serve the nation, he teaches children from nearby slums in the evenings under the ATM lights. Salute to an incredible man ðð¼ pic.twitter.com/vNobfOvBzH

Turns out Brijendra is a retired army personnel who works as a guard at an ATM in Dehradun. While on duty he also encourages poor kids living in the locality to study and teaches them under the lights of the ATM.

Laxman was all praise for the man's selfless efforts, for continuing to serve the nation even after his retirement by educating the future of our nation.

Laxman's post has since garnered a lot of attention online and people are sending the kind man a lot of virtual love. The man indeed deserves a salute for his efforts.
