Just like Nintendo, Sony is hopping on to the classic console bandwagon and is bringing back the original PlayStation nearly after 25 years. 

The PlayStation Classic will be a miniature gaming console and will cost $99.99. It will come pre-loaded with 20 games with titles such as 'Ridge Racer', 'Tekken 3', 'Final Fantasy VII' and others. The miniature console will release worldwide on December 3rd 2018.

The console will come with two PS1 controllers for games that have support for local multiplayer. Sony has not shared an entire list of games that will come pre-loaded with the console, however, we expect them to be games that defined the generation. However, users will not be able to use PS1 memory cards on the PlayStation Classic or save their game progress on a virtual memory card. 

The PlayStation classic is about 45 per cent smaller than the original console and at the back of the unit, there are only two ports. One for DMI-out and micro-USB for power supply.

When it comes to availability, we can expect the new miniature console to be available more widely as compared to Nintendo's NES or SNES stock problems. 

Players can already play many classic PlayStation games on iOS and PC, however, the new miniature console adds the extra nostalgic factor.
