After Tanushree Dutta accused actor Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her on the sets of 'Horn Ok Pleassss', many women from the media industry have come forward to speak up about the sexual abuse they had to face at their workplace.

Director Vikas Bahl, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie 'Super 30' starring Hrithik Roshan, has been accused of sexually assaulting a female crew member in 2015, during the pre-release promotional tour of 'Bombay Velvet'.

After the news of Bahl's sexual assault started gaining momentum, Phantom Films, which was formed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl and Madhu Mantena, was dissolved.

According to recent reports, Bahl has been removed from his upcoming project '83' as well. '83' is a biopic on Kapil Dev and stars Ranveer Singh.

Even Hrithik Roshan, who was working with Bahl on 'Super 30' said, "It is impossible for me to work with any person if he/she is guilty of such grave misconduct. I am away and have access to only sporadic information. I have requested the producers of 'Suepr 30' to take stock of the apparent facts and take a harsh stand if need be."

In fact, many celebrities have since come forward to speak up against him and his actions.

Read the full article. I am disgusted. You enabled this scum for three and a half years, you don't get to be a Hero now by saying you've shut Phantom because of this. Bullshit. And I don't care whether anyone gives me work after this or not. फ- off.  https://t.co/TkD5svWpyT

I am sorry. As somebody who has been a part of many projects with #Phantom in various capacities (lyrics/writer), I feel ashamed that they failed to provide safe working environment for women.

The hushed whispers are getting louder and are finally being heard. We all need to be in it together. Let's give courage to those who want to speak up but haven't felt able to yet. https://t.co/d2mvRYPYPV

Chiming in the developments, Sonam Kapoor said, "I don't know how I will deal with it. All I know is that I believe this woman. I find the behaviour despicable and cowardly."

In a statement, Kangana, who earlier worked with Bahl in 'Queen' said that he used to 'sniff her hair' and bury his face in her neck every time he greeted her, which made her deeply uncomfortable.

Actor Rajkummar Rao, who stood in solidarity with Kangana, strongly condemned it and said that as a society, we have to address the safety of women and that is of utmost importance right now.

He further requested the film fraternity to stand together for everyone, irrespective of being a male or female.

In the wake of India's 'Me Too' movement, the social media is being flooded with stories of women getting assaulted, harassed or raped at the hands of those in power; which is only making people's blood boil.
