Kangana Ranaut Lashes Out At Karan Johar & Shabana Azmi For Their Silence On The #Metoo Movement

The #MeToo movement in Bollywood now has all the skeletons pouring out from the closet, with women coming up and sharing their assault stories.

While Tanushree Dutta led the bold wave which led to an avalanche of voices, the industry has not been able to escape from celebs being called out.

Kangana Ranaut has accused 'Queen' director Vikas Bahl of misconduct with her and also extended support to a fellow employee of Phantom Production, who accused the director of harassment as well.

In a recent interview, Kangana also called out Hrithik Roshan and demanded that he should be punished.

The actress never holds on to criticism and is known for her brutal honesty as well. She has now questioned the silence of noted celebrities like Shabana Azmi and Karan Johar, who have been silent over the #MeToo wave in Bollywood.

“Where are people like Karan Johar and Shabana Azmi?' These people should also come out. Karan Johar has views about gym looks and airport looks. He tweets ten times about it. What about this? This is their identity. This is their bread and butter. When the film industry is going through such an important shift, where are they?" she said in the interview.

Kangana and Karan's war of words can be traced back to the time when she called him out for preaching nepotism and spoke her mind when she appeared on his chat show.

The actress wants people to speak up and that makes complete sense. Names like Sajid Khan, Alok Nath And Kailash Kher have already come up and are under the radar, and looks like this wave is going to wash up even more names.
