Indian cricket faced a sad day earlier this week as left-handed opening batsman Gautam Gambhir announced his retirement from all formats of cricket. 

But he didn't just leave without making a mark on Indian cricket history, as he slammed a century in his first innings against Andhra Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy game, making this the last game of his 2-decade long cricket career.

Batting on a 92, Gambhir completed his fabulous century victory at the Feroz Shah Kotla grounds in Delhi, making this his 43rd century in first-class cricket and 64 across formats. 

The 3rd day of the tournament started with Elite group B tied 190/1 against Andhra Pradesh's 390, which soon turned to a 112, when Gambhir took his time to slowly knock off 8 runs, finishing his stay with 10 fours. 

The final day of the game is on Sunday, the 9th of December, which will also be his last ever game of cricket, before he walks out of the stadium with nothing but pride!

People thronged the stadium to watch the ace cricketer finish up an even score of 112 before he got out to Mohammed Khan in the 67th over of the Delhi innings. 

The crowd went hysterical when he completed a remarkable century, something they can boast about in the future when they remember one of the best matches Gambhir played in his life, because it was his last. 

It's definitely safe to say that Indian cricket will never forget one of India's better player's amazing feat.
