Tom Hardy may have played one of the most famous villains but proved that he’s actually a real life superhero by chasing down and catching a thief who had stolen a moped. 

Arun Pullen, the eyewitness, told The Sun that he saw Tom sprinting through gardens in Richmond after witnessing the thief, along with another guy, crash the stolen vehicle into a £50,000 Mercedes and try to escape the scene.

He obviously caught him and hauled him into a bus stop to pat him down to check for weapons and his ID. 

Arun said, "This little shit nicked something and now he's got himself a broken leg. Tom must have been walking down the road. He went off like a shot in pursuit and looked furious. I asked Tom what happened and he told me he chased him through my back garden and caught him around the block - but the route was like an assault course.”

He continued, "It was like he'd switched to superhero mode in an action movie. Tom Hardy's clearly not a man you'd mess with. I think he even checked the kid's ID before cops took over."

After catching the guy, Tom proved once again that he is such a badass, and casually told the onlookers, "I caught the c**t."

And, seems like he impressed a lot of people as well.
