From multiple attempts to deface it and offensive scribbles drawn all over it, and a wall built around it by a performance artist, to a controversial spray-paint job (someone had drawn a backward swastika on the star)—Donald Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Star has been through a lot. But, someone decided that they've had enough of the controversial Presidential candidate, and finally took a vicious stab at the star.

In an exclusive, Deadline.com reported that a man disguised as a construction worker attacked the star yesterday in Hollywood, taking to the sidewalk, first with a sledgehammer and then a pickaxe! The man repeatedly smashed the star, using the axe to pick apart the letters in Trump’s name. No one came to the star’s rescue (obviously)—as pedestrians recorded the man on their phones, with one man even picking up one of the letters as a souvenir. Tragic!
