Cuteness Overload On Twitter As India Confesses Her Love For Virat Kohli

From the legendary Kapil Dev to the great Sachin Tendulkar, there have been many icons in the history of Indian cricket. Some of them have faded into the dark, while others continue to live in our memories over the years. Even in the modern era of the sport, the cricket-frenzy country has cherished the likes MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh amongst others.

But, none of those cricketers (barring the Little Master) can match the popularity of Indian captain Virat Kohli.

Whether it's his explosive batting or impeccable set of leadership skills, the Delhi lad represents an aggressive brand of cricket which seems to have struck a chord with fans from different age groups. For some, watching Kohli bat is pure satisfaction, while for youngsters, he's the perfect role model.

So much so, that even toddlers have figured out who they'll be following when they grow older. After winning the heart of Harbhajan Singh's daughter Hinaya, Kohli seems to have found a new fan in another baby girl in India Rhodes.

Jonty Rhodes shared a photograph of his daughter India who appeared to be in awe of Kohli after watching his poster. "It would seem that @imVkohli has another fan- not that we blame India Rhodes," Rhodes tweeted.

The tweet, which carried a beautiful photo, captured the current mood of the Indian cricket fans who couldn't help, but express their emotions.

With the tweets of the former Proteas cricketer spreading like wildfire, Kohli, too, got a whiff of it. The 28-year-old took to Twitter and replied: "@JontyRhodes8 #IndiaRhodes Cuteness overload! Wonder what sheโ€™s carrying in that little bag?โ€

Finding a new fan would have surely made Kohli feel better following a forgetful outing of his team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) this season.

While Kohli's RCB became the first team to crash out this year, Rhodes - who is the fielding coach of the Mumbai Indians - has seen his team through to the playoffs after being placed at the top spot in the points table.

Though Mumbai ended up losing the first qualifier against Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS), they still have a second chance to make the tournament's final by winning the eliminator against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) scheduled at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru on 19 May.
