The US is a divided country right now. As Donald Trump won the presidential elections, half the country shed tears of disappointment and disbelief. Thousands of Americans took to the streets to protest Trump’s victory and the slogan ‘Not my president’ filled the air.

Almost 5,000 people gathered in Manhattan in New York protesting Trump’s win yelling "Not my President, not today” as they marched towards Trump Tower, the home of Trump. A mob of around 1800 people yelling ‘No Trump! No KKK! No racist USA.” assembled outside Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago. "I'm just really terrified about what is happening in this country," a 22-year-old protestor in Chicago said.

A whole lot of cities – Boston, Seattle, Washington, San Francisco, Chicago, Texas, Atlanta, Austin, Denver, Philadelphia, Portland – saw people coming out in large numbers to voice their dissent.
Hundreds of protestors demonstrating at Los Angeles City Hall burnt an effigy of Trump, as they shouted “I will not live in fear”, “fight back, stand up”, the CNN reported.

Around 1,500 students and teachers walked out of classes at Berkeley High School in California. Students at Washington’s American University burned a flag on the campus, and hundreds of students from across school and colleges walked out of classes.
