KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies on Saturday night conducted various search operations and detained two suspects, Geo News reported.

A target killer was taken into custody during a search operation carried out in Tori Bangash area?s Khalil Market, Superintendent of Police (SP) Orangi Abid Ali Baloch said, adding that the suspect has been identified as Ahsan, who operated under the alias Sonu.

The arrestee, who belongs to a political party, has been allegedly involved in various cases of target killing, the police official explained. A registered First Information Report (FIR) already exists in the Orangi Town police station, Baloch added.

Weapons that the detainee had used in target killing incidents earlier have been recovered, the SP stated.

During a raid in the metropolis? Pirabad area, security forces arrested one suspect, who has been identified as Kamran, police said.

The security officials added that weapons, mobile phones, and a motorcycle have been recovered from the arrestee.
