LAHORE: Many areas of the provincial capital suffered power outage as more than 150 feeders tripped after heavy rains on Thursday evening.

According to LESCO authorities, the process of restoring the tripped feeders has started and more power in more than 85 feeders have been restored. Residents of Sahafi colony claimed that the area is suffering from power outage from last 11 hours, adding that the LESCO authorities are not picking their calls.

The residents informed that due to no electricity they are facing water shortage for everyday use.

Meanwhile, the weather turned pleasant following the rain, as sweltering temperature came down much to the relief of the residents of Lahore and adjoining areas.

Rain has also showered in Multan Road, Mansoora, Iqbal town, Gulshan e Ravi, Davis Road and Shimla Pahari. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall was also seen in Sargodha, Faisalabad, Gujrat, and Bhakkar district, along with the Khyber Pakthunkuwa districts of Abbotabad and Laki Marwat.

Moreover in next 12 hours, heavy rainfall is expected in Islamabad, FATA and Gilgit Baltistan.
