A Passenger Found A Dead Cockroach In His Food In A Chicago-Bound Air India Flight

Airplane food already sucks, but Air India just made it way worse. A passenger travelling to Chicago by an Air India flight found a cockroach in his meal that was served on board. Ewww!

The incident took place in the Air India flight AI 127, a Chicago-bound flight from Hyderabad. The passenger in question, Rahul Raghuvanshi, immediately alerted the crew about the mishap with his food and the crew asked him to order a fresh meal.

The airlines took notice of the serious issue and served a notice to the caterer. An AI spokesperson said, "No amount will be paid for the caterer for the entire flight on the day of the incident. The gourmet provides catering service to Air India in the flight. We also imposed additional penalty of 1 lakh on the gourmet for their negligence and had warned them."

The concerned passenger tweeted about the incident along with a picture of the meal, which was followed by an apology by the airline. After the incident, the airline's senior manager for corporate communications, Dhananjay Kumar said in a statement, "Air India took serious note of the incident and issued notice to the caterer concerned immediately. Further investigation is going on."

Let’s just hope this downright disgusting incident doesn’t happen to anyone in the future.
