    Hrithik Roshan or the ‘Greek god’ of Bollywood is known for his choice of movies and the kind of work he puts into them. However , sometimes when you read about an actor rejecting an offer, it makes you wonder why they did so. Here are 5 films rejected by the star which went on to become blockbusters.

    1. SwadesWhile Hrithik worked with Ashutosh Gowariker in Jodhaa Akbar, he wasn’t too keen to do Swades. In an interview he later explained why he rejected the film. “I had read Ashutosh’s script for Swades. I couldn’t see it from the director’s perspective, and therefore didn’t think I was equipped to perform the part. I wasn’t the best person to translate Ashutosh’s vision. And this was right after Lagaan so when Ashutosh came to me I felt on top of the world. Swades is one of my favourite films. And Ashutosh is definitely one of my favourite filmmakers” he said.

    2. BaahubaliThe Greek God of Bollywood was offered the titular role but since he had just finished wrapping up Jodhaa Akbar, he wasn’t in a zone to take up another period drama. Although on a show, the director has mentioned that he only had Prabhas in mind for the role.

    3. Dil Chahta HaiAs per reports and various interviews, it was reported that Hrithik was offered the role of Sameer and even Sid in DCH. However, the actor wasn’t keen on taking up the role and well, rest is history. It went on to become one of the most iconic movies of all time.

    4. Rang De BasantiAs per reports, Hrithik was approached by the makers for playing the role of Karan Singhania, which was later taken by Siddharth.

    5. LagaanHrithik was originally offered Lagaan but again the actor wasn’t too sure about the script. When Aamir took over the project, the film eventually went on to reach the Oscars.

    Raashii Khanna has made a comeback to Bollywood with her debut OTT series Rudra: The Edge of Darkness that released on March 4 on Disney+ Hotstar.  

    The show has received generally positive reviews and Raashii’s performance has been getting a lot of acclaim. 
    Before the release of Rudra, we chatted with Raashii about her web series, her work in South Indian films and her upcoming Bollywood project Yodha starring Sidharth Malhotra and backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

    While talking about Yodha, she exclusively told MensXP, “I’ve just shot in Lonavala and we have come back and shooting in Mumbai and I just have this one long schedule and I think Sidharth will wrap tomorrow (March 3) but I have another 20 days to go. The kind of character that I have in the film, it’s really nicely written and of course, apart from the romantic angle that’s there, it is also a really strong character that I play in the film.” 

    She further talked about working with Dharma Productions and Karan Johar, who is often accused of nepotism and said, “I think, it is such a blessing because it is Dharma film and it’s honestly one of the big production houses in the country and I never thought being an outsider I could probably reach there as I used to think, ‘Arey yeh toh bahut mushkil hai’ (It’s quite difficult to get in). But I don’t know, I mean they must have seen something or they must have thought that you know I will be good for it. I am working with a fabulous team. My directors are great, Sidharth is a great co-star. I am really enjoying working on it.”

    The world paused for a second on Friday as the news of legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne swarmed social media. The realization that the 52 year old cricketer who was as cherished for his sport as he was for his admirable personality, was hard to swallow.
    Reports suspected that the Australian cricketer who was in Thailand at the time of his death, staying in Koh Samui, died of an imminent heart-attack. The cause of death had not yet been confirmed and as the family of Warne struggled with the tragic passing of Shane, they requested for some privacy until they could share more with the fans.

    Two days later today, Thailand investigators have reportedly found "blood stains" on the floor of the room where Shane Warne was staying. The development was made during a full sweep of the villa in Koh Samui.

    A report on the matter shared, “Warne is understood to have suffered chest pains before he left Australia and had a history of heart disease and asthma. Local media reports said investigators found blood stains on the floor of Warne's room and on bath towels while searching the villa."

    Prior to this, Shane Warne’s manager had given a statement where he shared how upon finding Shane in that state, he tried giving him CPR for almost 20 minutes before the ambulance arrived. 

    As of now, despite the family’s request to expedite the process of having Shane’s body returned to Australia, the authorities have transported the body to the Thai mainland to undergo an autopsy, as per reports.

It was a bit... all or nothing. It was either white buns with butter and lasagne stuffed in the middle or he would be having black and green juices.” 
    He also mentioned, "I don't know, he obviously smoked most of his life. I don't know, I think it was just a massive heart attack. That's what I think happened."

    India defeated Sri Lanka by an innings and 222 runs in Mohali to take a 1-0 lead in the two-match series on Sunday (March 6). It was a game of milestones for the Rohit Sharma-led outfit as they broke a number of records en route to a massive win over the Lankan side.
    It was Virat Kohli's 100th Test match but the star of the show was all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. The left-handed batter played an unbeaten knock of 175 and then picked up nine wickets in the match to help India cruise past Sri Lanka.

    Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin too achieved a historic landmark as he went past Indian legend Kapil Dev to become the second-highest wicket taker for the country in Tests. 
    Team India were the favourites going into the series but the fact that Sri Lanka lost 16 wickets in a day speaks volume of the kind of bowling attack the hosts have at their disposal.

    While fans were over the moon by the margin of victory, a few were left disappointed as Jadeja missed out on becoming the first-ever cricketer to score 150-plus in an innings and take 10 wickets in the same match by a whisker, finishing with match figures of nine for 87. 
    Those 25 runs and 1 wicket will hurt him for rest of his life.

    Both teams will now travel to Bengaluru where the second Test will be played from March 12. It will be a day-night encounter, the third in India. 
    The last time India played a day-night Test at home, they knocked over England inside two days. Sri Lanka will have to play out of their skins to even stand up against this formidable Team India.
