    Our minds are the most impressionable when we’re little kids. Habits, traits, actions that our parents do suddenly get picked on by our sub-conscience and a few of those memories even start holding a special place in our hearts, without us even realizing it. Just like with actress Janhvi Kapoor, who too, has a vivid bank of memories of her late mother, Sridevi.

    Today, Janhvi Kapoor turns 25 years old and it’s no surprise that ever since her mother Sridevi has passed away, the young actress has always felt her absence get to her on special days like these. And to still keep her alive in her memory, Janhvi often talks about and goes back to instances from the past, recalling what all her mother used to do & say.Β

    One such habit that Sridevi had was to give beauty and makeup special importance. More so, when Janhvi’s father Boney Kapoor would come home.Β 

    Letting out a beauty ritual that her mother followed, Janhvi shared, β€œMy first memory of a beauty product was watching mom do her makeup. Right before dad would get home, she would go to her dresser and fix her eyebrows, put on a little lipstick."

    She added, β€œI’d ask her, β€˜Why suddenly in the middle of the day are you doing it?’ And she’d reply, β€˜Because your dad is coming home’." Guess, now we don’t need to wonder what kept the love and spark alive in their marriage, for it seems like the couple never stopped trying to make efforts for each other, even after being married for years.

    Janhvi has also shared earlier how even though Sridevi loved using make-up products, she was very particular about not letting her daughters use anything apart from natural oils for a very long time.Β

    Bismah Maroof, the captain of the Pakistan Women's Team, arrived with her child at Mount Maunganui today for their first Women's World Cup 2022 match against India Women's Team and has made waves on all social media platforms with just one but a very powerful picture.
    Due to the pandemic and bio-bubble, the idea of bringing an infant for such an event may seem contentious to some, but the rule is approved by ICC as a benefit of a parental policy and Maroof is simply making the most of it.

    Previously, Maroof has addressed the issue of being a mother while also raising a child on the contracts that the Pakistan cricket board offers to its female cricketers. She’d said that a child needs the mother's care.Β 
    The question would have been, where would her child go if she had to continue her career? And who will look after the child if she is on the field? Hiring a babysitter and accompanying her everywhere is costly, and Pakistani women cricketers do not earn enough money to afford such luxury. Their contracts allow them to make a livelihood, but it would have been impossible to continue playing with a child if there had been no parental policy in place.

    Maroof's life these days is a jumble of varied tasks, juggling her fitness, batting, captaincy, and obligations as a mother. Despite the increased workload, she is grateful that "Fatima is a good child" who only wakes her up twice or thrice a night.
    Pakistan's finest batter is one of eight mothers participating in the World Cup, and she will be the first Pakistani to return to national service after becoming a mother. Maroof's life has taken an unexpected turn in a country where most cricketers' careers finish once they marry. She, too, was a soft-spoken, unassuming individual who had once felt that a similar fate awaited her.

    The six-month-old infant has become a new and energising part of Pakistan's World Cup campaign and has boosted the team's morale. Fatima, the skipper’s daughter, has become the new centre of attention in the group, which the captain feels is a good thing.
    Maroof’s narrative has inspired millions across the world, including Indian fans who were just enthralled by the image of her coming out of the bus in her Pakistani uniform with the infant in one hand and her cricketing kit strapped to her other shoulder.

    On Saturday at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium in Mohali, Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja explained why India declared against Sri Lanka in the first innings of the first Test. On Day 2, Jadeja continued his power-hitting binge against Sri Lanka, adding to his overnight total of 45 while batting with spin bowling partner Ravichandran Ashwin.
    Suranga Lakmal, the Sri Lankan pace, sent Ashwin back to the dugout after the duo put up 130 runs for India's seventh wicket. Jadeja, on the other hand, continued his batting skills by toying with the Sri Lankan bowlers and putting them through their paces for a laugh. On the second occasion in the red-ball format, he reached the three-figure mark with a single off Lasith Embuldeniya's over.

    To illustrate how hungry he was to score more runs, Jadeja smoked a six and a pair of boundaries to Embuldeniya in an over just after achieving his century. With a six to Dhananjaya de Silva over mid-off, Jadeja achieved 150 for the first time, although he didn't show off his sword celebration this time.
    When Indian skipper Rohit Sharma concluded the innings, Jadeja was undefeated on 175 and the team's scoreboard was gleaming with a total of 574/8. The move by Rohit and head coach Rahul Dravid to prevent him from scoring his first double-ton angered Indian supporters.

    In the post-match conference, the all-rounder acknowledged that there was he was receiving a message from inside, and he was also sending a few messages back to Sharma (through reserve player Kuldeep Yadav). When Jadeja was batting, the balls began to take spin and bounced differently. So he warned them that the pitch was playing games with them and that the Indian spinners may force them (Sri Lanka) to bat.

    He further clarified that because the Lankan Lions had been on the field for about two days and were exhausted, it wouldn't have been simple for them to come out and start shooting and stay on the field longer. So Team India's strategy was to score fast and declare as soon as possible.
    After the unbeaten batter clarified the decision-making process that led to Rohit Sharma declaring the first innings mere 25 runs before Jadeja could complete his double century, his fans went on Twitter to call out every hater who felt that the skipper prevented Jadeja from reaching the milestone intentionally.
