    Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who failed to make it to the playing XI in the first Test against Sri Lanka, has been released from the Test squad ahead of the second Test match in Bengaluru.
    The decision was taken after another left-arm spinner Axar Patel cleared his fitness Test and joined the Indian team ahead of the upcoming day-night Test.

    Kuldeep was not part of the original 18-member squad but was asked to stay back as an emergency backup after the T20I series.
    Even though the team went in with three spinners in Mohali, Kuldeep failed to make the cut and was seen carrying drinks as Jayant Yadav was preferred to him, alongside the two veterans Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.

    While Ashwin and Jadeja decimated the opposition batting line-up and accounted for three-fourth of the Sri Lankan wickets, Jayant looked way off. It seemed as if he was bowling on a different surface than others. No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t challenge the Lankan batters and was the only Indian bowler who went wicketless in both innings.
    Looking at his ordinary performance, the majority of the fans were of the view that if there was anyone who needed to make way for Axar Patel, it was Jayant not Kuldeep. But they were left surprised after knowing that Kuldeep has been released from the Test side while Jayant has managed to retain his position.

    When the leadership change was announced, the supporters had hoped to see a change in policy towards Kuldeep and that he would get a long run under the new management.
    However, that hasn’t been the case which has left fans disappointed. The angry supporters of the Indian team are now accusing skipper Rohit Sharma for destroying the Kanpur-born cricketer’s career by limiting him to serving drinks after including him in the squad.

He has been released at a time when the first-leg of the Ranji Trophy is already over and there are no domestic matches scheduled between now and the start of the IPL.
    Kuldeep is going through a difficult phase in his career at the moment and he needs as much game time as possible to gain his confidence back, especially with the IPL around the corner.

    It’s so common that the bizarre matrimonial ads seeking a bride of their choice of colour don’t even surprise us anymore when we see them in the newspaper. Most of us just roll our eyes and simply move past it, because well, we assume it’s never going to change.

    However, a Hindi daily just took charge and took a progressive step to end colourism in India, at least when matrimony is concerned. 

    A widely circulated newspaper, Dainik Bhaskar just announced that it won’t publish matrimony ads that put skin colour as preference while seeking a bride.

    Virat Kohli became only the 12th Indian cricketer to play 100 Test matches for the country when he took the field in Mohali in the first Test of the two-match series against Sri Lanka last week. 

    The former India captain is known to take the field with a win at all cost attitude and often his approach towards the game is mistaken for arrogance. 
    While he wears his heart on his sleeve on the field, off the field Kohli has shown time and again how much he cares about his fans and similar scenes were on display at the IS Bindra stadium after India's emphatic win over Sri Lanka.

While Kohli failed to make his landmark Test memorable by scoring a century, he did cross the 8,000-run mark in the longest format of the game after scoring 45 runs in the first innings. 
    Once the game was done, Indian players were boarding the bus back to their hotel and that is when a disabled fan, who calls himself the unofficial 12th man of the Indian team, received a special gift from Kohli.

    Fans were in awe of Kohli seeing the heartwarming gesture by the 33-year-old batter and flooded Twitter by lavishing praise on him.

Well, she is in legal trouble as a non-bailable warrant has been issued against her. Yes, you read that right!

    According to reports, the Rowdy Rathore actress has been accused of alleged fraud of Rs. 37 lakhs. An event organiser from Delhi, named Pramod Sharma, had organised an event and Sonakshi was supposed to be the Chief Guest. To be a part of the ceremony, she charged Rs. 37 lakhs but did not show up on the D-Day. 
    As Sonakshi failed to attend the event in Delhi, Sharma requested the actress' team to return the money. Reportedly, her manager refused to pay the money back to the organiser. He allegedly reached out to the actress multiple times, however, all his efforts went in vain and that's when the organiser filed a fraud case. 
    Sonakshi is said to have travelled to Moradabad to record her statement in this matter once, however, she remained absent thereafter. Now, the court has issued a warrant against her due to her continued absence.

    We wonder how the actress will react to the whole controversy. 
    On the film front, Sonakshi was last seen in Ajay Devgn-starrer Bhuj: The Pride of India. Also starring Sanjay Dutt, Nora Fatehi, and Ammy Virk, the film premiered last year on Disney+Hotsar. Currently, she has films like Kakuda and Double XL in her kitty. 
    While Kakuda is a horror-comedy, starring Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleen as the male leads, Double XL revolves around fat shaming. It tells the story of two plus-size women played by Huma Qureshi and Sonakshi. 

    As per the ongoing buzz, Sonakshi will also be a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much-hyped Netflix series Heera Mandi. However, an official announcement is still awaited.

    Something that is all figured out by Hollywood actor Robert Pattinson. The Twilight star who recently starred in the latest Batman movie, has already given a blockbuster opening weekend to the movie. 

    With sound reviews where most people are calling his performance ‘on-point’ for the role of the ever-brooding Bruce Wayne, Pattinson has held up his end of the bargain, although few did find it to be no more than a 3-hour long drag for a nearly predictable plot. 
    However, as the audience dishes out mixed reviews, there is still no contest as to how Pattinson didn’t let his fans down.

    Although, he was quite prepared on the off-chance that he did, for he had an alternate plan of action ready and rolling. In an interview prior to the release of The Batman, Robert Pattinson mentioned how he would start doing ‘porn films’ in case Batman didn’t work out.

    He said while talking about the anticipation of a movie release, “I’m already remembering what it’s like to talk about a movie where there’s an expectation. Whenever you say anything, people are like, 'Argh! You idiot!' Like, dude, I haven’t even started yet!’"

    He then mentioned how, “There is no harsher critic of myself than myself, so I don’t need to worry about anyone else." It was then when he asked what he’d do if the film tanked, that he said, “Porn.” After laughing over his answer, he continued saying, "But art-house porn."

    Of course, now the actor doesn't need to venture into that space considering The Batman has no plans of tanking at the box office since its release.

    Never in their life the Ukrainian athletes thought they would have to drop their gears and instead wear bullet-proof jackets and take up arms just so that they could live freely in their own country.
    Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has left the normal Ukrainians with no choice but to grab a rifle to protect their motherland.

    They say desperate times call for desperate measures and we are now seeing more and more Ukrainian citizens, including some of their well-renowned athletes, taking up guns to stop the Russian troops from making further inroads into their territory.

    A few days ago, former Ukrainian tennis star Sergiy Stakhovsky also posted a picture on Instagram, where he could be seen wearing an army uniform and holding an assault rifle in his hand. Through his post he told the whole world he has taken up arms to stop Russia’s aggression in his homeland.

    Stakhovsky said he had never imagined a situation where he would have to wear a bulletproof vest in the capital city of Kyiv. Calling Russia’s invasion of Ukraine a “disaster”, he urged the whole world to unite against the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

    On Sunday, the former tennis star posted a screenshot of WhatsApp messages he received from world number two men’s tennis player Novak Djokovic, who had reached out to him enquiring about his well-being and assuring him that he was open to helping in whatever way possible, whether financially or by any other means.

    Stakhovsky first moved his family to Hungary to ensure their safety and then came back and joined the armed forces to defend Kyiv. Although he doesn’t have any formal military training, he says he knows how to operate a rifle.
    It’s been over a week since Russia started bombarding various cities in Ukraine and it has resulted in hundreds of innocent people losing their lives.
    Kudos to the valour and determination of the Ukrainian people from all walks of life who, instead of fleeing to safety, have taken up arms to protect their motherland.
