    Virat Kohli took the field, on Sunday, under Rohit Sharma's leadership in an ODI for the first time since stepping down as Team India's captain across formats.Β Β 
    Kohli played under KL Rahul in South Africa in the three-match ODI series, which Rohit missed due to a hamstring injury.Β 
    India lost the series 0-3 but Kohli was one of the better performers with the bat for the visitors. Despite scoring a five-ball duck in the second ODI. Kohli finished the series as India's second-highest run-getter with 116 runs.
    The former captain was active on the field during the ODI series opener against the West Indies on Sunday but he failed to leave a mark with the bat as he perished after facing four deliveries.Β

    Kohli got off the mark with a streaky boundary and then Alzarri Joseph showered the former India skipper with a barrage of short deliveries.Β Β 
    Despite Kohli not scoring much, India cruised to an easy win to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Another thing that stood out from the ODI series opener was the camaraderie between Kohli and Rohit.Β 
    Often social media is flooded with speculations of a rift between the two Indian superstars, refuting all the rumours of a rift between Kohli and Rohit, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar said these rumours are mere speculations and they always come from a source or are written allegedly or reportedly.

Because if he doesn't score runs or a bowler doesn't pick wickets then he is going to be out of the team. He has already lost the captaincy or opted out of captaincy, now you don't contribute with the bat or ball then you are going to be out of the team. So all these talks are mere speculations from people who have nothing better to do and are trying and creating stories,” Gavaskar said in the pre-match show on Star Sports after India's six-wicket win over the West Indies.Β 
    Gavaskar's remarks suggest that according to him, it is time for Kohli to start scoring runs or else his place within the Indian team will be in danger.Β

    It is not a hidden fact that Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were dating each other and were madly in love between the years 2010 and 2016. They have worked in Bollywood movies Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani, Raajneeti and Jagga Jasoos. Back in 2013, Katrina made headlines as her bikini pictures from her vacation with ex Ranbir Kapoor started doing the rounds on the internet. She was snapped holidaying in Spain with her rumoured boyfriend.Β 
    A leading magazine shared their pictures and in no time, their private photos were out in public to mock and judge. They had not openly accepted their relationship and wanted to know each other better. With these pictures leaking in the media, Ranbir and Katrina were left annoyed and upset.Β 

    When Ranbir was asked to react to it, he told IANS at an event as quoted by International Business Times, β€œHow would you feel if pictures of your sister, wife or girlfriend surfaced like this on the internet. It is wrong to show someone's private pictures to the world. I am very upset and did not like this act of the media."
    We completely agree with the fact that the photographer didn’t have the right to intrude into their privacy.Β 
    Katrina had also sent an open letter to the media with an appeal that all media running the pictures not to circulate it anymore. As quoted by Indian Express, Katrina wrote, β€œI am writing this to say that I feel most upset, distressed and invaded at my pictures published in a film magazine (and which were carried by other media). The pictures were taken while I was on holiday by someone who,in an act of cowardice, had shot without permission and then used the pictures for commercial gain.” 

    She added, β€œThere is a breed of journalism that preys on celebrities in the worst possible manner crossing all lines of privacy and decency. Running these pictures shows support for this school of journalism.”
    β€œI request that all media running these pictures please refrain from doing so. I have a wonderful relationship with the media and have been accessible to the media at all times. There is no reason for this furtive and invasive behaviour,” her letter further read.

    One such controversy that left everyone gobsmacked was about the alleged love child of Aamir Khan.Β 
    Back in 2005, a report in Stardust Magazine had rocked the industry. In the report, it was claimed that a British journalist Jessica Hines was in a live-in relationship with Aamir Khan who also fathered a love child with her named Jaan.Β

    The article stated that Aamir met Jessica during the shooting of Ghulam and the two soon were in a live-in relationship. After being in a relationship with Aamir for quite some time, Jessica realised that she is pregnant with Aamir’s child.Β Β 

    It was further alleged that Aamir refused to own up the child and asked Jessica to go for an abortion. The journalist refused and gave birth to Jaan in the early β€˜00s.Β 
    Later, in 2007, Jessica married William Talbot, a London businessman. At that time, she had told TOI, ”When I was in India for a long while working on my Amitabh Bachchan book, William took care of Jaan. He is very supportive and protective of my son”.Β

    Actor Sanjay Dutt has lived a life colourful enough to demand a Bollywood film capturing his highs and lows.Β Β 
    Born to Indian icons Sunil and Nargis Dutt, he was seemingly born with a platinum spoon in his mouth, however, things quickly went south for him in his personal life after going through a tumultuous period that included drug abuse, affairs,Β  prison time, and cancer even.Β 
    Between the years 1993 to 2016, Dutt had various run-ins with the law, including the now-infamous weapons possession scandal from the 1993 Bombay bombings, as a result of which, he ended up going in and out of prison several times.Β

    β€œI served time in prison and I faced it and I came out. And I was welcomed back by my film industry, and that’s absolutely family for me, and it’s always great the way they supported me and they support me always,” Dutt told Variety. β€œAnd then it was this phase of cancer, which I’m out of. And I’m doing great.”

    Speaking of his biopic, Sanju, it was directed by veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, the same man responsible for reviving Sanjay Dutt’s career with 2003’s cult classic Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. (2003) and its subsequent 2006 sequel Lage Raho Munna Bhai.Β 
    The franchise was responsible for once again humanizing Dutt to the Indian audiences after having had his reputation tarnished by his checkered past. In the movies, he plays the affable ruffian, Munna Bhai, who was all heart and brawns, with Arshad Warsi playing the role of his sidekick Circuit.Β

    Needless to say, fans have been dying for a follow-up to the franchise as it was a rare blend of laughs and tears, something that Hirani’s films in the early noughties were notorious for.Β 

    And now, it seems as if Dutt has been clamouring to work on the third instalment of the Munna Bhai series as well, news which is bound to elate fans of the series.Β 
    Hinting that the signs were looking positive, he teased, β€œThey are in the thinking process, and God willing it’ll happen.” Adding, that the script of the third film of the Munna Bhai series may feature an older Dutt and Warsi.Β 
    Here’s to hoping the iconic Munna - Circuit jodi can be recreated soon! If anything, their chemistry could have aged like wine, and we’re dying to see it on the screen once again!Β

    Hardik Pandya’s fitness issues have made more headlines in the last couple of years than his on-field performances.
    That’s because the fast-bowling all-rounder has played only a handful of matches, with his last international appearance coming during the T20 World Cup last year. Since then he has been away from action.

    After the tournament in the UAE got over, he was given a break by the national selectors so that he could complete his full rehabilitation. The decision was made because the selectors wanted him to return to the national team only after attaining full fitness so that he could deliver in both the departments of the game.
    Speaking about Hardik’s situation, the BCCI President Sourav Ganguly had said in an interview last week that he expected the Baroda all-rounder to play a few Ranji Trophy games before the Indian Premier League (IPL).

    β€œHardik was injured and a break was given to him to completely recover, so that he can continue to serve Indian cricket for a long period of time. I believe I will see him play some Ranji Trophy to start with. I expect him to bowl a lot more overs and his body will get stronger,” Ganguly had told news agency PTI.

    Everybody who was hoping to see Hardik prove his fitness in Ranji Trophy were left disappointed when it was announced that the 28-year-old all-rounder decided to give the tournament a miss, in order to focus on making his comeback to the Indian team in the white-ball format.Β 
    A player who is currently out of favour from the Indian team at the moment quite conveniently ignores the BCCI President’s advice and opts out of the country's first-class tournament, it only shows how little the players value first-class cricket in general. For them, the IPL is everything.

    Hardik’s decision turned him into a villain on social media as angry fans slammed him for withdrawing from Ranji Trophy so that he could play in the upcoming edition of the IPL. He will be leading the new Ahmedabad franchise based out of his home state of Gujarat.
    Most fans were pissed with him because he didn’t want to risk his IPL’s huge paycheck by playing in Ranji Trophy. Some of the supporters even argued that the BCCI shouldn’t consider him for selection unless he proved his form and fitness in domestic cricket.

    As per the latest buzz, the actor, who last appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote Aanand L Rai's Atrangi Re, is upset after a clip from the episode was leaked despite his request that it should not come out.Β 
    Revealing the same, sources told Hindustan Times that the issue began when the comedian spoke about an interview Akshay had with a "renowned celebrity" in which the actor inquired about his favourite way to consume mangoes. Kapil was allegedly referring to an interview the superstar had with Prime Minister Narendra Modi a few years ago.Β

    In the leaked clip, the actor then challenges Kapil to name the personality but he quickly changes the subject. Reportedly, after the shoot, the actor requested that the channel not air this segment.
    The source said, "Akshay took all of Kapil’s jokes head-on but the dig on the PM interview seemed to mock the dignity of such a high office. So Akshay requested the channel to not air that question. It is a right of the guests to make such a request as the show is not live. The channel agreed, but the said scene was leaked on the internet soon after".Β

    Cricket fans were in for a treat on Monday as a video surfaced on social media in which former India captain MS Dhoni was seen having a net session ahead of the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.Β 
    The Chennai Super Kings captain will be leading his side as the four-time IPL champions look to defend their title against nine other franchises.
    Dhoni did not do much with the bat last season but his captaincy was top-notch as he led CSK to their fourth IPL title.Β 
    However, a few fans and cricket experts questioned his declining batting abilities. Dhoni scored 114 runs in 16 matches at a lowly average of 16.28 in the 14th edition of the IPL.Β

    This year, two new teams Ahmedabad and Lucknow will join the fray to fight for the title. All the teams were given a chance to retain a maximum of four players ahead of the mega auction and CSK retained Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali and Ruturaj Gaikwad.
    MS Dhoni, in an interactive session with fans during last year's IPL, had expressed his desire to return to Chepauk in yellow jersey. "Hopefully, we will come to see Chennai and play my last game over there and we can meet fans there," Dhoni had said.
    While a final call on the venue for the upcoming IPL edition is yet to be taken, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that the Indian board is looking to stage the IPL matches in Mumbai and Pune.
