I’m friends with the monsters that are under my bed (and on my television).
Thanks to Hotel Transylvania that makes a friendly come back right in time for a much-needed pick-me-up after being sick for almost a week.
Hotel Transylvania: Transformania brings back Drac and his pack who reunite for an all-new adventure that presents Drac with his most terrifying task so far. This time, they’re transformed into their worst nightmare - humans! Yup, the monsters turn into humans, and thanks to Van Helsing’s mysterious invention, Johnny becomes a monster.

So, while Drac is stripped of his powers, Johnny is loving life as a monster.
But this can’t be forever and the team must get together and race across the globe, into the deep Amazon forest where there’s a cure. But do you think the human Drac Pack will be able to make it on time?
You can watch the trailer here:

The castFor the fourth and the final chapter, franchise creator Genndy Tartakovsky, along with Selena Gomez returns as an executive producer. Selena also reprises her role as Drac’s daughter, Mavis. Andy Samberg returns as Johnny the human turned monster and Brian Hull is voicing the Drac. Apart from them, the film also features Kathryn Hahn, Jim Gaffigan, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon, David Spade, Keegan-Michael Key, Brian Hull, Fran Drescher, Brad Abrell, and Asher Blinkoff.
Directed by Derek Drymon and Jennifer Kluska, Hotel Transylvania: Transformania starts streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting January 14th, 2022.

We watched the movie for you and have a verdict…
To watch or not to watch… The last of the lot, Hotel Transylvania: Transformania will be a great way to say goodbye to this 10-year-old franchise.
With its one-liner jokes about monsters living as humans and loud iterations of monsters that will make you fall in love, Hotel Transylvania: Transformania will be a perfect family binge this weekend. Haven’t been following the old movies? No problem! It’s not a continuation of the old series.
    Amazon Prime Video
From voices that have made you believe in the characters from long to stellar writing, yet again, know that it’s going to be hard to say goodbye to our beloved and entertaining monsters.

But just as they say, all good things have to come to an end, but the good thing is that at Hotel Transylvania, you get to check in anytime!

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan became proud parents to a baby boy named Taimur Ali Khan on December 20, 2016.
They had expressed happiness over an official statement announcing the birth of their son. “We are very pleased to share with you all the wonderful news about the birth of our son: Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi, on the 20th of December 2016. We would like to thank the media for the understanding and support they have given us over the last 9 months, and of course especially our fans and well wishers for their continued affection. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you all…With love, Saif & Kareena. Thank you,” the statement read.

They had no idea that their one day old baby would fall prey to the vicious trolling. Taimur is an Arabic word which means iron but the name is commonly associated with one of the most feared conquerors in history. People started to dig for the truth about the emperor. Timur or Taimur was a Turco-Mongol conqueror and the founder of the Timurid Empire in Persia and Central Asia. He was a great warrior and was considered to be the last of the great nomadic conquerors of the Eurasian Steppe. He was known to be barbaric in nature.

Talking about the name Taimur, Saif Ali Khan had earlier told Times Of India, “I’m aware of the heritage of the Turkish ruler and my son was not named after him. He was Timur, my son is Taimur. Perhaps the root is similar but it’s not the same name. Taimur is an ancient Persian name meaning iron. Both my wife and I liked its sound and the meaning. In fact, of all the names I ran by Kareena, she liked this one the best because it’s beautiful and strong. Taimur was the name of a boy he’d grown up with and a cousin too. It’s an old family name like Sara who was also named after a cousin I admired.”
Adding further, Saif said, “I should have added a disclaimer, as they do in the movies, that any resemblance to any person, living or dead, is purely coincidental… Yes, there were some people who raised some objections but obviously just to look at medieval history and to make value judgments is, I think, ridiculous, and a lot of people have said that on my behalf. I feel quite confident that we don’t live in a right-wing society. As yet, India is still liberal and people are still open minded.”
Cut to 2022, we are appalled to see that nothing has changed. So, Taimur was spotted with his parents and he perhaps was in a playful mood but he surely has no idea in his tender age that people are vicious to some other level.
In the videos and the pictures, he is pointing his toy gun and taking aim at the shutterbugs. It’s normal as we have seen many kids playing with toy guns.
Here are the videos and pictures:

Soon after the pictures and videos started to do rounds of the internet, people didn’t leave the opportunity to troll and bash a five-year old kid. They are calling him a terrorist and a ‘nanha jihaadi’. This is brutally insensitive and disturbing at many levels. It’s not okay and should be called out.

This shows that we as a society are regressive and have let go of our humanity.

The Internet is a wild place. In between all the endless scrolling somehow, some picture or video manages to grab our curiosity, and if it’s engaging enough, perhaps even our interests.
However, in a world where there’s a new hot-take every day, one where the entire ecosystem has been reduced to this seemingly endless conveyor belt of opinions, it doesn’t take much to tick people off, especially when it comes to spreading stereotypes.
Content creator Harshveer Jain aka Storyseller comics is the latest recipient of such rage.
The Instagram account is popular for its comic strips that speak on a variety of issues
In a recent video uploaded to his Instagram account, he tried making a distinction between male stereotypes and female stereotypes for his audience, by comparing the commonly prevalent (yet flawed) notion of ‘men being cheaters’ with ‘women being bad drivers, or bad at sports’.
See the video and decide for yourself:

Many seem to buy into the distinction Harshveer makes vis-a-vis individual choice vs systematic discrimination.
Instagram user ‘ahlawatprerna’ commented, “So well put. Where are people like you found on earth? Appreciate the clarity of thought.”
    © Storyteller Comics
While user ‘nteasocial’ couldn’t help fawn over Harshveer, calling him a man written by women, due to his ability to see their side of the issue.

User ‘bluehair_blackeyes’  was in full support of the Storyseller’s opinions as well. They said, “Very well said. Like all your posts. “Women are bad drivers” is a generational conditioning stereotype, that’s used to take away access to vehicles and roads. This is not even comparable to a person making a choice to not date due to their past experiences.”

    © Storyteller Comics
The rest of the comments, however, are far less tolerant of Harshveer’s opinions, seemingly hell-bent on bashing him for his opinions.

Instagram user ‘shalin.khatri’ said, “This was some level “A” bullshittery. Demeaning one stereotype over other stereotypes by fancy sugarcoating of words is laughable.”
    © Storyteller Comics
Instagram user ‘prashasti_19’ believes that Harshveer’s opinion is ill-formed, she says, “Calling women bad drivers could also be a result of past experiences or observations. I cant see how it’s different from calling men cheaters or dogs. And it’s funny that now discriminating in private space has become okay now? Because I’m sure so many people can use that as an excuse to do a lot of harm to any person or any community. I don’t think was a well-thought-out argument.”

    © Storyteller Comics
‘Kavyaarathod’, was another commenter who wrote her thoughts in the comments section of the video, saying, “Isn’t being a cheater or a bad driver a personal trait? Why there’s any need for generalization? I have seen many w are very honest, and many women cheat in their relationships. Likewise, some men are reckless, careless drivers and some women are faulty drivers too, while some women are great at driving. Thinking based on stereotypes is very stupid - you have one bad experience and you generalize is ridiculous. Gender-based stereotypes make no sense.”

    © Storyteller Comics
‘Sibarpitchandan’, questioned the content creator’s conviction, “You don’t sound convinced yourself. Stereotypes are bad irrespective of gender. Both the notions you discussed are wrong. STop trying to justify any kind of stereotypes irrespective of gender.”

    © Storyteller Comics
While the post seemed to have split opinions among the citizens of the internet, there was one user who stood out for shooting his shot in the midst of all this chaos. The cryptically named user, ‘141.269’, said, “It’s very difficult to pay attention to your videos because I simply can’t take my eyes off that face.”

Well, here’s someone who clearly can’t read a room.

What do you think? Do you think Harshveer made a valid point or was he completely off the mark?

Do let us know in the comments!

Salman Khan, who many say is a man with a golden heart, has often been in the headlines for his temper and rude behaviour. It won’t be wrong to call him a controversies’ child. From celebs like Aamir Khan finding it hard to work with him back in the day to Aishwarya Rai blaming him for physical abuse, Salman’s controversies have been the daily fodder for the gossip columns for years.

As per a report in KoiMoi, the actor took revenge in a very disturbing and disgusting manner with a female film critic who dared to speak against him and openly wrote about flaws in his movies.
As his new movie was to be released, the film critic went to interview him and was made to wait for hours only to get insulted. The Executive Editor of Hindustan who was then then Resident Editor of The Hindu shared the entire incident and wrote about it on Twitter.
View this post on Instagram A post shared by Salman Khan (@beingsalmankhan)
Sachin Kalbag, in a series of tweets, revealed the incident without taking his name but hinting directly at Salman. He wrote, More than a decade ago, an independent, national award-winning film critic had gone to interview him. The film critic had panned a few films in which the said actor had a lead role or was one of the male leads. He held a grudge. But since a new movie was releasing, he had to give interviews. Unfortunately, it was with this critic. He had to avenge, though.”
He further added, “So first he made her wait for several hours in the hot sun and then asked her to sit on a set prop. She sat. Waited…Finally, he emerged. He told her, "Wait, I have to pee." He then went to a tree 5 ft away, unzipped his and peed in front of her...”
He continued, “That was the actor's "revenge" on a female film critic and reporter who had the "audacity" to not like his movies. The said film reporter and critic, rightly, walked off. Her editor supported her decision.”
    Here are the tweets:

The incident dates back to a decade where the actor in question behaved in a rather nasty way with an independent, National Award-winning film critic.

If it’s true, it shouldn’t have been appreciated and reported timely.

Every relationship teaches you something. Even if it doesn’t last or wasn’t exactly a good relationship, there is so much you learn from your partner during the entire time you were together.
While some men may teach their girlfriends about self-confidence and new skills, most men would agree that there are certain things only their girlfriends could teach them.
    © Dharma Productions
It’s only when a man gets into a relationship that he starts to see things from a different lens, incorporate habits he never tried and appreciate more in life. It’s also the first time he finally opens up to a woman and lets someone in.

That’s why there are some things that no one teaches men better than a girlfriend.
    © Dharma Productions
Here are a few things that men confessed to having learnt from their girlfriends:

    1. Enjoying Little Things In Life © Dharma Productions
Celebrating small achievements, days, mini-milestones and finding joy in the littlest things isn’t there in the biological programming of men but it is there in most women.

They learn to enjoy little things and appreciate things they never did until a woman comes into their life and shows them how it’s done.
    2. Family First! © Dharma Productions
Although it goes both ways, men are more likely to become closer with their family members than they were before, thanks to the right woman in their life.

A social media user wrote, “I am crazy for my girl. After 15hours of work, I still manage to call her. Never once have I slept without talking to her. And every day she asks me this. "Did you talk to your mom today?”
    3. Empathy & Respect Towards Women  © Dharma Productions
You tend to be even more empathetic and respectful of women than ever once you get in a relationship with a woman.

This may not be something she deliberately or consciously teaches their boyfriends to realise that they become more courteous and empathetic because of the woman in their life.
    4. That Expressing Isn’t Too Bad © RSVP Movies
Men are conditioned to bottle up their feelings and so, they don’t express and show emotions to everyone they meet. However, their girlfriend is the only one they run to when they are upset, need affection or need a reality check.

They can talk to her about work, friends and family without being judged and thus feel safe to let it out, even if it takes time for them to open up to them.
    5. *** Isn’t Everything © Dharma Productions
While physical intimacy is important, men learn that it’s just a part of a relationship.

Someone wrote on Quora, “What ultimately matters is how much you love your partner. The pleasure, lust everything fades away in due course of time; what remains is true dedication, care and love.”

HBO series Game Of Thrones came to an end in 2019, however, it still has a huge fan following. The series was appreciated for its intriguing twists, strong performances, and effective background score. The show had a great run of eight superhit seasons and every actor got rave reviews for their performances. One of those actors is Emilia Clarke who played the role of 'Dragon Queen' Daenerys Targaryen. She was a part of all the seasons and performed several n*de scenes.
    View this post on Instagram
In the first season, her character got married to Khal Drogo, played by Aquaman star Jason Momoa.  As per the script's demand, they had to perform numerous s*x scenes which involved partial nudity for both. Talking about those scenes in an old interview, Emilia had revealed how Momoa took care of her and made her feel comfortable during the shoot.
Speaking on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepard, she said, "He took care of me in an environment where I didn’t know I needed to be taken care of. Jason was an experienced actor who had done a bunch of stuff before coming onto Game of Thrones. He said, ‘This is how it’s meant to be and how it’s not meant to be. I’m going to make sure that’s not the case.’ So he was always like, ‘Can we get her a robe? She’s shivering!"
View this post on InstagramShe added, "It’s only now I realize how fortunate I was. That could’ve gone many, many different ways. He was so kind and considerate, and cared about me as a human being".
On the career front, Emilia will next be seen in Secret Invasion. The upcoming Disney+ series marks her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Momoa was last seen in Dune and currently has Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom in his kitty.

Being a journalist is not an easy job. One has to constantly be on the lookout for problematic statements and analogies while reporting, and that can get tricky. Especially, when one potentially has a hidden set of biases, it can be all too difficult to hide them in the backdrop of public discourse.

    via GIPHY
NPR's India correspondent Lauren Frayer clearly didn't get that memo, as is evident from her recent social media gaffe. Lauren tweeted a video of a train burglary in LA, where looted stuff was strewn all around - right from unopened Amazon packages to COVID testing kits. However, it was the caption she used that ended up triggering the entirety of desi Twitter, and rightfully so.
At first glance, I thought this was India https://t.co/b4aP0Xzxes
    — Lauren Frayer (@lfrayer) January 14, 2022
Lauren, in her tweet, used the caption: 'At first glance, I thought this was India' - and got flooded with sassy responses by Indians immediately, who were having none of this unjustified, pointless bias on their feeds. Take a look at some of them here.

    — Leo Saldanha (@leofsaldanha) January 15, 2022 Some people took it really personally, and went all up in arms, but one would say the harm here qualifies as self-inflicted, won't they!

    — Long Live The People (@LongLive_ThePpl) January 15, 2022And At second glance, you realised "oh, it's a mirror" ....
    — Abey Kuruwila (@kuruwila) January 15, 2022If this is the sort of thing you say when you know thousands of people are watching, I can't begin to imagine what you're like in private.
    — Jingalls (@Jinga11s) January 15, 2022Even at first glance, I didn't think you were journalist.
    — Sivaram Pratapa (@SivaramPratapa) January 14, 2022While people are amazed that such a blatant display of not so hidden bias is still out there at large, they find it almost unbelievable that she still has not deleted that tweet. Some people even expressed their concern over the fact that if she can be this brazen on a public platform in terms of having personal biases against the same country that she corresponds to, what she must believe or express is private is anybody's guess. While public bashing or trolling of anyone is uncalled for, perhaps journalists should do better in terms of editing their opinions dispassionately while keeping their personal biases aside, in order to avoid it.
