    The captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli had to face some tough questions from the media after his side ended up losing the Test series in South Africa 2-1 after they had gotten an early 1-0 lead on their home turf. One of these tough questions were related to the controversy that took place on Day 3 of the Test when the skipper went to the stump mics and started yelling at the broadcasters, Supersport, for a questionable DRS review.
    During an anxious third session on Day 3, India skipper Virat Kohli and the likes of KL Rahul and R Ashwin lost their cool when the DRS reversed an LBW verdict against Dean Elgar.

    In the 21st over of the South African innings, Virat Kohli and his teammates sparked controversy when they marched up to the stump mic and expressed their displeasure at an overturned LBW decision. Kohli and his teammates appeared to accuse Supersport of tampering with ball-tracking equipment and deciding against the visitors.
    Following the incident, the Men in Blue ended up leaking 41 more runs in the inning in less than 9 overs by the end of Day 3 and had allowed the Proteas to already put up 101 runs on the board for the loss off just two wickets while chasing a 212-run total.

    Kohli was criticised from all over the world for behaving this way. Former England captain Michael Vaughan even requested the International Cricket Council (ICC) to intervene and punish the Indian batter for being out of line and lacking the professionalism to respect the different parties who were involved in making the series a possibility.
    However, when Virat Kohli was asked about his reaction to the whole controversy, the man got even more defensive than he did while batting in the second inning of the final Test… in which he took 143 balls to score 29 runs.

    "I have no comment to make on it either," Virat Kohli said when asked if India were carried away after the heated stump mic chatter.
    "We understood what happened on the field and people on the outside don’t know the exact details of what goes on the field. For me to try and justify what we did and say we got carried away if we had gotten 3 wickets there, that would probably have been the moment that changed the game.

    "The reality of the situation is we didn’t apply enough pressure on them for longer periods of time throughout the course of the Test match and hence we lost the game.
    "That one moment seems very nice and exciting to make a controversy out of which obviously I am not interested in. It was just a moment that passed, we moved on from it and kept trying to pick wickets."

    Maybe the captain felt like whatever he was doing would intimidate the South African cricketers into giving up their wickets and Kohli could feel like this hero fighting against all odds and still coming out victorious. However, there is only so much fighting a team can do when there are just 212 runs to protect with over two days-time left for the opposing team to chase down the target.
    It didn’t have the impact, Team India lost by 7 wickets and Kohli came out of the controversy looking like a sore loser who can’t take a hit and does not know how to keep cricket-related things on the field. Not something to be proud of when you’ve been recently sacked as the ODI captaincy and aren’t exactly in the middle of the form of your life.

For this weekend, Netflix is offering its new thriller Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein. When you have talented actors like Tahir Raj Bhasin and Shweta Tripathi on board, you can surely expect a roller-coaster ride.

    When the teaser was dropped, people were looking forward to watching the show. As per the trailer and teaser, it’s a twisted love story with underlying themes of an identity crisis, fate, and a cobweb of lies. It starts like a normal love story but soon turns into a thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat.  
    Bhasin plays Vikrant, a simple man who falls for fellow college student Shikha (Shweta), who reciprocates his love. Enters his childhood friend Purva (Anchal Singh) who is crazily in love with Vikrant and can go to any level to get him.

    The official synopsis of the thriller reads, “A romantic simpleton, Vikrant, becomes an object of desire for Purva, who will go to any lengths to get him. As Purva’s ruthless efforts to make him hers begin to destroy all that he holds dear, the mild-mannered Vikrant finds a new side to him emerging. In order to escape Purva’s clutches and reclaim his life with his true love, Shikha, he goes down a dark path only to regret it later in this pulpy thriller.”

    Set in the fictional town of Onkara, the psychological drama also features Saurabh Shukla, Surya Sharma, Brijendra Kala, Arunoday Singh, Anant Joshi, Sunita Rajwar, and Hetal Gada. 
    The show has finally been released and has been streaming on the OTT giant from 14th of January. We saw the show way before it was released and we had mixed opinions about the show as it had the potential but it did lose its track. It’s surely watchable as the actors have done a brilliant job at the part but it’s the writing that either breaks or makes it. The show had all the components of making it a hit but the second half lost its grip and never got back on track. What didn’t work for us was the climax. We will not take away the fact that filmmaker Siddharth Sengupta did understand the twisted Shakespearean plot and showed how obsession can ruin lives.

    As people have also watched the show, they too have mixed reactions. A few felt that it was like the same old drama and others hailed the show. They loved the performances and are looking forward to watching the next part.
