The Indian cricket team that is set to embark on a challenging tour of South Africa suffered a massive blow as Rohit Sharma was ruled out of the red-ball leg of the tour due to a last-moment hamstring injury.

The stylish opener was one of the standout performers for India in England and many had expected him to deliver the goods in the Rainbow Nation as well. Even the selectors had entrusted him with the greater responsibilities, appointing him as the new vice-captain of the red-ball squad.

Luckily, there are enough options available for the opening slot and finding his replacement shouldn’t be an uphill task. While the selectors have named Priyank Panchal as Rohit’s injury replacement, Mayank Agarwal who scored a terrific hundred in the Mumbai Test against New Zealand is most likely to open the batting alongside KL Rahul.
NEWS - Priyank Panchal replaces injured Rohit Sharma in India's Test squad.

While the BCCI is claiming that Rohit sustained the injury during a training session but according to a Times of India report, he suffered a minor hand injury during nets but that wasn’t the reason why he was missing the Test series.
Now nobody knows when and how Rohit got injured. He led the side in the home T20I series against New Zealand and guided them to a 3-0 clean sweep, after which he was rested from the following Test series.

The last time he turned up for India, he did not suffer any injury and was operating completely fine. How did he get injured at the last moment just before entering the team bio-bubble in Mumbai?

The question is now being asked of the selectors how they can have no idea about a player’s physical condition, especially ahead of an important series like this one.

Ever since Rohit was named India’s new ODI skipper, Kohli’s fans have left no opportunity to pull the opener down and they did the same after this news broke out.

Rather than sympathising with India’s new ODI captain, some fans mocked his fitness and vented out their frustration against him. Some even felt that he wasn’t good enough to lead a team in two formats because his fitness was always going to be a big cause of concern.

Rohit and Kohli haven’t played together after the T20 World Cup and some fans even believed that the two ‘alpha males’ have drifted apart from each other after the recent captaincy change and are trying to avoid facing each other.

Not just Rohit’s fitness, some Kohli supporters even dug up the former’s record on South African soli and claimed that he used this injury as an excuse to save himself from another embarrassment.

    — Taihzeeb T.H (@HTaihzeeb) December 13, 2021rohit HAS to work on his fitness, we can't afford not playing him every now and then, this test series is crucially important because WTC also depends on it. Imagine if he gets injured like this during any ICC tournament??
    — gullycricket (@cricket_meme_r) December 13, 2021It’s true that Rohit’s Test record in South Africa hasn’t been great but that was the case in almost every overseas nation prior to this year. The 34-year-old batter has transformed his game in the last year or so and established himself as one of the main assets for Team India across formats.
It’s sad that Kohli fans are celebrating his injury but, somewhere deep down, they also know that Rohit was arguably India’s best batters in the format and his injury will definitely hurt India’s chances of winning a Test series in South Africa.

After actress Jacqueline Fernandez’s images with conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar went viral on social media, it became the talk of the town. The conman was arrested in an extortion case of over Rs 200 crore and is linked to many other cases of money laundering as well.

After Jacqueline’s name came forward, Nora Fatehi’s name also floated because back in October this year, during his interrogation, Sukesh reportedly claimed that he gifted her a luxury car.
According to the chargesheet, Sukesh and Jacqueline became acquainted this year in January and post their friendship; he gifted her a lot of things, which includes Persian cats, with one of them costing around Rs 9 lakh, a horse which is priced around Rs 50 lakh, exquisite expensive crockery and much more.
Now amidst the ongoing investigation, some new revelations have come up in the ED enquiry. As per an ANI report, the chargesheet clearly stated that the conman gifted Jacqueline Fernandez several designer bags from Gucci and Chanel. She also received two Gucci outfits for gym wear, a few pairs of Louis Vuitton shoes, two pairs of diamond earrings and two Hermes bracelets. It was also reported that she received a Mini Cooper, which she claims to have returned back.

As per another report , Sukesh had gifted some stuff to her family as well. He loaned around USD 150,000 to the actor's sister, who lives in the US and also gifted her a BMW X5 car.

The accused con man also gifted Jacqueline's parents a Maserati, as well as a Porsche to her mother. However, as per his statement recorded under section 50 of the PMLA Act, Sukesh Chandrashekhar claims that he gave 15 pairs of earrings, five Birkin bags, luxury goods from Chanel and Gucci to the actress. He also added that he gifted her Cartier bangles, rings and a bracelet from Tiffany & Co., and also a few Rolex watches.

In her statement, Jacqueline Fernandez said that she used to visit luxury brands showrooms to identify what she wants and then later send him a list. The products would then be delivered to her by him. The ongoing enquiry is getting murkier as many facts are coming up.

Hogwarts, The amazing fictional school of witchcraft and wizardry that we all wanted to be a part of while growing up as kids, has been quite in the news these days.

Yes! Firstly, because the Harry Potter franchise is returning back to the screens with the 'Return To Hogwarts' reunion special, 10 years after the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 film back in 2011.
    © HBO Max
It was obviously an incredible feeling to see the star trio of Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson return together for the reunion in the photo released by HBO Max.

    However, that's not it!
Warner Bros just released the trailer of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, and it looks promising.

The trailer sees Newt Scamander, the soft-hearted, magical beast-lover, Hufflepuff-housed wizard, who returns in the third film, with a newly assembled to take on a new challenge...
    Grindelwald!
Now, while we saw a lot of Grindelwald in the second film, the fact is that a lot of dynamics have changed since then.
Not only has Johnny Depp been relieved of his acting duties by Warner Bros, but we have also got an impeccable replacement in Mads Mikkelson, the Danish actor who looks like he's got all it takes to play the dark wizard.
    © Warner Bros
    © Warner Bros
Oh yeah! Mads looks amazing as Grindelwald and seeing by the trailer, the on-screen chemistry as well as the rivalry between him and Jude Law's Dumbledore could be something to look out for.

In the trailer, Newt returns to Hogwarts in search of Albus Dumbledore, and he is greeted by none other than his brother Aberforth, who let's be honest, doesn't have any love lost for Albus.
Also, Newt's muggle friend Jacob is also been given a new wizarding gift of a wand, something that we had no idea about could be done.
I mean, isn't that like, breaking the rules? If you're passing it on to him, what about us Muggles?
Anyway, the trailer goes on and ends where Dumbledore leads Newt's team to a section of Hogwarts that we Potterheads are very well familiar with. The Room of Requirement!
    © Warner Bros
It is there, Dumbledore does best.

And it's not magic. It's awarding points. But not to Gryffindor, but to Hufflepuff!
All in all, the trailer for the latest film leaves easter eggs of the Potter movies as well as what might lie ahead for our fans, and it looks like there might be more exciting things for us when we see the actual movie.

Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput made his Bollywood debut with filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor’s 2013 film Kai Po Che, and in 2018 he worked with the director in Kedarnath.
Sushant was closely associated with Abhishek and his untimely death left him shocked.
Three years after helming Kedarnath, Abhishek is back with Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui starring Aayushmann Khurana and Vaani Kapoor.
In the opening credits of the film, the filmmaker has paid a tribute to his late friend Sushant.

Remembering Sushant, in a recent interview with India Today, he talked about their bond and revealed behind the scenes details of how it had become difficult for him to complete Kedarnath as people didn’t believe in the actor.

    View this post on Instagram
He said, “Sushant’s death was very painful for me. I made his first film and then I made Kedarnath. It is so strange. People were leaving Kedarnath saying Sushant is not a star. I was fighting for that movie. I put money from my own pocket to finish it. I was under so much pressure, but I had conviction so I had to make the film.”

He further added, “While making Kedarnath, I knew Sushant was in pain. The thing is, once he passed away, the whole world became his fan. But it was not always like that. There was a system that didn’t let him believe how much he was loved. He did not get it. When he passed away, it’s like the whole country exploded and declared how much they loved him. That’s the tragedy.”

Recently, on the three-year anniversary of Kedarnath, Abhishek took to Instagram to remember Sushant. A part of his caption read, “I can’t help but be reminded of the grave loss of this extraordinary soul who remains etched to the legacy of this film. I can still feel Mansoor there in the sacred mountainscapes looking right back at me with his characteristic smile reflecting all the innocence & beauty in this world.”

Kangana Ranaut, who was booked last month on a complaint by members of the Sikh community for allegedly hurting religious sentiments and beliefs, will not be arrested before January 25, 2022, as informed by Mumbai Police to the Bombay High Court. For the unversed, an FIR was filed against the actress at Khar police station Mumbai over her Instagram post allegedly linking farmers' protests to a separatist group. She has been booked under Section 295-A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Earlier this month, Ranaut had approached the HC seeking that the FIR registered against her be quashed. In the plea, her lawyer Rizwan Sidiquee had stated that no legal case was registered against her even though the complainants objected to her social media post made on November 21.
Reacting to it, the Mumbai Police has made the statement after a bench, comprising Justices Sarang Kotwal and Nitin Jamdar, said that the issue includes the "larger question of Ranaut's fundamental right to free speech" hence the HC will have to give her ad-interim relief.
The assurance of not arresting the Queen star before January 25 has been given as she has reportedly agreed to cooperate. Kangana will be recording her statement on December 22 at Khar police station regarding the social media post she had shared related to the farmers’ protest.
On the professional front, Kangana was last seen in the biographical drama Thalaivi. She portrayed the role of late actress-politician J Jayalalithaa in the film and received rave reviews. She will next be seen in Dhaakad, directed by Razneesh Razy Ghai. Also featuring Arjun Rampal, Saswata Chatterjee and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles, the film is slated to release on April 8 next year. She has completed shooting for Sarvesh Mewara's Tejas and has also signed Sita: The Incarnation which will be helmed by Alaukik Desai.

Her bold and sizzling avatar is being appreciated by the viewers but it has courted controversy. A case has been filed against Samantha's dance number in Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa' by a men's association. A few people on social media also bashed Samantha for being a hypocrite. They have been trolling Samantha citing her old tweet regarding her objection to Mahesh Babu’s 1 – Nenokkadine's poster. The said poster showed Kriti Sanon falling at Mahesh Babu's feet in a playful manner.

Now, she herself has featured in an item dance number that has arguably regressive lyrics. This is new heights of hypocrisy."
One user tweeted, “The way in sam speaks so highly of feminism and women power then do such songs really upsets me. Such hypocrisy. #SamanthaRuthPrabhu #Pushpa.”

It's when we don't want to accept it and we are fighting it it's a never-ending battle. But when you accept when you vocalize 'this is my issue, so what now? I still have to live my life'. I know I'm still going to live my life and with all the issues that I now faced in my personal life, I was surprised at how strong I was. I thought I was a much weaker person. I thought that with my separation, I would crumble and die. I didn't think I was capable of being this strong...Today I'm very very proud of how strong I'm because I really didn't know I was."
Samantha and Chaitanya on October 2 ended their nearly four-year-long marriage.
