    Last week, Virat Kohli was forcefully stripped of ODI captaincy against his will and Rohit Sharma was given full control of the Indian team in white-ball cricket and it started a huge debate on social media.
    Given his stature in world cricket and what he has done for the Indian cricket since taking charge of the team, nobody expected the Sourav Ganguly-led BCCI to take such a step.

    Since then multiple reports have emerged suggesting that all is not well between two power centres of Indian cricket Kohli and Rohit.

    A report even claimed that it was Rohit’s stubbornness to get the full control of the India’s white-ball squad that forced the BCCI to hand Kohli a 48-hour ultimatum to give up his leadership role in the ODIs and eventually strip him of his duties rather unceremoniously after he ignored their command.

    People thought with time things would settle down between the two ‘alpha males’ and they would sort out their issues like adults when they share the dressing room. But it seems we’ll have to wait for a little bit longer to witness a truce between the two star players.

    The reason being Rohit and Kohli, who haven’t shared the dressing room since India’s calamitous T20 World Cup campaign in the UAE, have been ruled out of the Test and ODI series in South Africa respectively due to various reasons.

    The BCCI officials are saying that this is nothing but a coincidence but fans are not ready to listen to them at all. A majority of them firmly believe that nothing of this sort would have happened had the BCCI not tinkered with the ODI captaincy. In order to please one player, they have created a ‘royal mess’, the brunt of which will be borne by the fans and India cricket at large.

    The BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said that the decision to give ODI captaincy to Rohit was taken because the selectors didn’t want to avoid confusion by having two different white-ball captains.

    But their decision has failed to serve their objective altogether. In fact, rather than bridging the gap it has further widened the divide between the two factions and people are blaming the BCCI boss Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah for this ‘royal mess’.

    One such aggrieved Kohli supporter took to the micro-blogging site to vent out her frustration against the BCCI top brass, slamming their internal politics and power battles for creating unnecessary conflicts between two modern-day greats.
    From what it seems, Kohli has no motivation left to play ODIs. And I don't blame him.

    And, just like that, because of all the politics, one day, he'll just walk away. Almost like AB de Villiers, fed up of the board who never supported you.

    Another user who was fed up with the current BCCI regime’s incompetence and their way of functioning wrote: “One day.     Whether there is a rift between two megastars or it’s a mere coincidence, no one can deny that the Indian team is stronger with both of them in it and the longer they take to sort out their differences (if there is any) the more Indian cricket will suffer and fans definitely don’t want that.

    After a long wait of 21 years, India's Harnaaz Sandhu finally won the title of Miss Universe 2021 on Monday (13 December) making the whole country proud. The event was held in Eilat, Israel. Since then, celebrities and social media users have been congratulating Harnaaz for her achievement. A throwback video of the young Punjabi girl is now doing the rounds on the internet in which she's seen expressing her love for Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

    The clip is from an old interview when she won the Miss Diva 2021 title. The video has resurfaced on social media after her Miss Universe win in which Harnaaz is seen talking about her love for Bollywood's very own 'desi girl' Priyanka Chopra Jonas. 

    In the clip, Harleen says, "I love Priyanka Chopra. So whatever lessons I can learn from her is nevertheless. So I will always choose Priyanka".

    This is not the only video of Harnaaz which is getting attention online. A clip of her shouting 'Chak De Phatte' right after winning the crown too is being viewed by many.
    With this historic victory, Harnaaz has become the third Indian to win the title of Miss Universe. Before her, only two Indians had won this title - Sushmita Sen in 1994 and Lara Dutta in 2000. Both of them congratulated Harnaaz on her huge victory and welcomed her to the club.

    Salman Khan is undoubtedly one of the biggest superstars in Bollywood. 
    It's not just his acting talent, but his overall charisma in Bollywood, that people from all parts of the industry have tremendous respect for him.  
    Now, while the Tiger Zinda Hai actor is a person who is known to have a huge heart for people he really cares about or is fond of, there are times when he can lose his temper and point out things he won't tolerate.

    I mean, everyone kind of knows that he doesn't take bulls*** from anybody, as it has been displayed with his many public spats with even Shah Rukh Khan, who is considered the Badshah of Bollywood. 

    The two actors have, of course, moved on from their differences, and are now close friends again, with Salman being a constant presence around Shah Rukh when his son Aryan was in jail in connection with the cruise ship drug scandal.

    However, there was a time not so long ago, when Salman actually publicly lost his temper for something related to Shah Rukh and Andaz Apna Apna co-star Aamir Khan. 

    It is no news that Salman, alongside Shah Rukh and Aamir, has for long been considered the three Khans of Bollywood, merely because of the status that they hold in the industry.

    What happened was that, back in 2015, amidst the alleged public rumours of Salman having differences with both Shah Rukh and Aamir, many fans took to Twitter to actually pit Salman against the other two Khans. 

    It was reported to be sort of a ranking system, which basically meant that who's the better of the Khans. However, Salman was not having any of it, and he eventually let his fans know what he actually meant. 
    On his fans ranking the first, second, and third positions for the three Khans in Bollywood, Salman, said he along with Aamir and Shah Rukh, all hated it.

    From Rekha to Raveena Tandon, Akshay Kumar’s name has been linked to quite a lot of women before he finally got married to Twinkle Khanna. With his wit and charm, Akshay managed to woo many Bollywood divas and one of them was Shilpa Shetty who was smitten by him. Shilpa and Akshay’s relationship became the hottest talk of the tinsel town in the 90s. 
    It is said that love blossomed between the two during the shooting of Main Khiladi Tu Anari. Every tabloid gushed about the pair and their chemistry, on and off-screen. Everything was perfect for the lovebirds until the year 2000 when Shilpa got to know he was two-timing her with Twinkle Khanna.

    Shilpa also revealed that she got to know about Akshay's philandering ways while they were shooting for Dhadkan, and they ended their relationship while the film was still being made. "When you love someone and all along, don't realize that you are being taken for a ride, it can be very annoying. I wanted our film to get over and be released so that it wouldn't come in the way of my producers. I couldn't harass them just because my personal life was turning into shambles. So, I decided to wait till Dhadkan was done with," she revealed.

Viral Bhayani, the well-known paparazzi, too posted a compilation of videos from the ceremony in which Kangana is seen having a great time with Ankita. However, social media users joked about the Queen actress' traditional attire. 

    A user wrote, "Khud ke shaadi me ja rahi hain aise lag raha hai". Another wrote, "I think she got confused n mistook it as her own sangeet". A third user asked, “Who’s the bride?”

    The desi urge to touch the book to your forehead if you accidentally touch your foot on it... 
    That’s just one of the many Indian traditions that all desis follow without ever questioning why we do it. Honestly, it feels like a crime not to. Even the atheists have admitted to doing it. 
    Where, you ask? On a Twitter thread that will make you feel immensely proud of being an Indian.

    Mainly because we got a good scolding if we didn’t and it stayed with us. And, we’d be passing these as traditions onto the next generation as well.

    Controversies and Bollywood go hand in hand. Every now and then, we hear about one controversy or the other involving Bollywood celebs. 
    While some are shocking, others are plain hilarious. One such controversy was back in 2011 between Priyanka Chopra and veteran actor Annu Kapoor. 
    The two worked together in Vishal Bhardwaj directorial 7 Khoon Maaf where Annu played one of the seven husbands of Priyanka’s character.

    During the promotions of the film, Annu Kapoor had allegedly stated that Priyanka refused to do intimate scenes with him as he isn’t 'good looking'. This statement of Annu had left Priyanka “irritated”. 

    When she was asked about her reaction to Annu’s statement, she told Hindustan Times, “I read that Annu Sir had said: ‘I’m not good-looking, I’m not a hero. Agar main hero hota (if I had been a hero), then maybe she would have done intimate scenes with me. Because otherwise, she doesn’t have a problem doing intimate scenes with heroes. If talent goes out of the window, I guess you just need to be good looking.’”

    Slamming Annu Kapoor for passing “cheap” comments, Priyanka said, “If he wants to do intimate scenes and pass such cheap comments, then he should do those kind of films. Such scenes were never part of our film.” 

    She further added, “I’m very irritated. I don’t think unko aisa kehna shobha deta hai (saying such things doesn’t suit him at all).” 
    She also stated that it was wrong of him to speak in such a way, “I don’t think he knew that his comments would upset me. But, his statements have really upset me. It was very wrong of him to speak the way he did.”

    When Annu was asked about his reaction to Priyanka’s statement, he denied saying anything related to intimate scenes, “I have never ever uttered a single word for or against Priyanka, allegedly about her refusing to do any scene with me. It’s none of my business, it is between the director and her.”

    He added, “When I’m asked about my feelings about playing her husband, I have said that people will judge my performance on merit rather than based on whether I’m playing husband to Priyanka or Meryl Streep. I may be a character artist but I’m an artist with character. My elderly advice to Priyanka: ‘Beta (Well, I do affectionately address her as beta), don’t take all this too seriously. Don’t get stressed. You’re a wonderful actress. God bless you.’”
