Being a celebrity, one needs to be extra careful of what one talks about. By the virtue of being in the public eye, your words reach a larger audience and thus have an echoing effect. Actress Shilpa Shinde, who is famously known for her stint in Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai and who won the hearts and the title of the 11th season of Bigg Boss once had to pay the price of being a TV personality. Shilpa had accused people of maligning her social image by leaking an MMS which showed a woman who was her look-alike, in a compromising situation.

She shared the link to the video to prove a point that it was not her but what was supposed to be a responsible act on her part, ended up being an irresponsible act in the eyes of people on the internet. “Plz see this u will get to know. Jinhe koi kaam dhanda nahi hai woh logo ki zindagi iss tarah se barbaad karne ki koshish karte hai. Yeh hai woh original ladki ka video jo Shilpa Shinde Ka MMS leak hua hai, aisa bola ja raha hai” she tweeted. Soon, she got trolled for posting the link and also bringing another woman’s identity in the limelight. Actress Hina Khan, who was also a fellow contestant, bashed her on Twitter.

Sad..anyone’s fans or regular trolls may get away by saying anything on SM but as a public figure we get a power to be able to reach to millions with just one tweet and at least we should be very careful n responsible. Specially in these times, real life is not a reality show ! https://t.co/T4mro52L5t
    — Hina Khan (@eyehinakhan) April 21, 2018@ShindeShilpaS whatever happened with u is unfortunate n u hav a right to Spk abt it but I ask u, do u hav a proof of consent of the woman in ths video tht u can post it? If she’s the imposter u claim why don’t u go Legal instead of promoting porn on Sm being a responsible celeb? https://t.co/o04BUqh4Kf
    — ROCKY (@JJROCKXX) April 21, 2018Well, the move was not justified because in order to prove her point, she made another error. Well, like they say, “to err is human”.
