However, there was a time during his career that things were so bad that he was actually forced to borrow money for food.

This is revealed by his son and actor Abhishek Bachchan, who was studying in Boston, United States at the time of the financial crisis.
Speaking on The Ranveer Show podcast, Abhishek said:
“I spoke to my father from college. My family was going through a difficult financial time. And I just felt like a son, although I might not have been qualified at that point in time, that I needed to be with my father. Even for moral support. He’s a big guy on moral support. He likes to know his family’s around. I said I can’t be here sitting in Boston when my father doesn’t know how he’s going to get dinner. And that’s how bad it was. And he said it publicly."

He revealed how Abhitabh was actually forced to borrow money from his staff in order to get food:

“He had to borrow money from his staff to put food on the table. I just felt morally obliged to be with him. I called him and I said ‘You know dad, I think I want to leave college halfway and come back and just be with you, try and help you in whatever way. At least you’ll know that your boy is next to you and he’s there for you’,” added Abhishek.
Abhishek is currently starring in the recently released crime-thriller film Bob Biswas, with the movie showcasing the acting versatility of the star.

When Abhi told his dad how adamant he was to come back home and pursue action, Big B was more than glad, but he issued some serious advice too.

“So, he was very emotional, he was very touched, he was very moved but he ended the rest of the conversation, which obviously I won’t give up, but he said: ‘I’m glad.’ Because I mean we’d already discussed that I would like to be an actor. He said, ‘I’m glad, come back. Bhasha sikho (learn the language). Because Shakespeare doesn’t work over here. And I realize that today, that I was very out of context.”
It looks like Junior B is finally getting the recognition in Indian cinema that he deserves. May he continue to entertain us with more such movies.

From being a struggling actor to becoming an established name in the Indian film industries, Prabhas has now come a long way and it wasn’t easy for the star to make it this big.
Prabhas made his debut with the Telugu film Eeshwar, in 2002, and he had no idea what was in store for him. He might have been a part of many movies but it was Baahubali: The Beginning that changed his life completely and established him as a headliner in the record-breaking film.

In 2019, Prabhas made his entry in Bollywood with Saaho, which also became a super hit film. He has four Pan Indian films and one Pan world film - Radhe Shyam, Salaar, ProjectK, Adipurush, and Spirit, which will release in Asian languages as well along with South Indian languages.
Apart from being a great actor, he is also a humanitarian who believes in helping people in need. Prabhas has donated a huge amount of Rs 1 crore to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister's Relief Fund. After the recent floods which caused devastation in some areas of the state, the Baahubali actor has donated the money.
This is not the first time that Prabhas has gone all out to help the people who need urgent attention and help. In 2020, he had announced a big donation of Rs 1.5 crore to the Telangana chief minister relief fund in a bid to support flood relief activities.

Previously, he donated around Rs 4.5 crore when India was fighting against COVID. “The amount that the actor has donated is just a way of giving back to the society and is a way to thank his fans for the hulking support he has been received since the very beginning,” said a source close to the actor.
Prabhas is currently one of the most bankable actors in the film industry. In an interview with IANS, he had said that he fears failure and is still not used to handling stardom. “After being in the industry for 13-14 years now, I still don't know how to handle stardom. My fans feel bad that their hero doesn't come out so much. I'm better than before, and trying to improve,” said the actor.

“Fear of failure is definitely there for every film. It was present for Baahubali; then, after the first part, it was there for the second part. Now, there are so many expectations and the audience wants to see something else... Fear is there, but what we can do is believe in something and try to make it,” he added.
We are genuinely proud of the actor!

Akshay Kumar is known for his wit and humour but he has been brutally trolled on social media for his old controversial statements. Nowadays, Bollywood celebs have a filter on their candid interviews and they hardly let loose but back in the day when people on social media weren’t very active, these actors did take some liberty in sharing their views.
    View this post on Instagram
Akshay had given a controversial statement in 2014 during the promotions of his film The Shaukeens wherein he said that every man is lustful. The Shaukeens was a comedy film that hit the theatres in the year 2014. It was directed by Abhishek Sharma and featured multiple veteran actors including Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor, and Piyush Mishra, amongst others.
The film sees these elderly men, or ‘shaukeens’ heading to Mauritius on a vacation after getting bored of their mundane lifestyle, falling in love with the same girl and wooing her in their own element.
    Here’s the trailer:

While speaking to Rediff, Akshay had said that it is in a man's DNA to stare at women and let his imagination run wild. “There is no man who isn't lustful. When a man looks at a woman, his imagination is bound to run wild. A male's DNA is composed such that he will stare at a woman. The catch is in how he behaves with the woman. Anyone who disagrees with this and says it depends on perspective is again trying to hide their lust because it is socially unacceptable to think free," (sic) said the Khiladi actor in the old interview.
If he had said this statement in 2021, he would have been trolled brutally to generalize men as stalkers.

On the work front, Akshay’s last release Sooryavashi worked really well on the box office. He will next be seen in Atrangi Re alongside Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush. The film was announced last year but the shooting was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The shooting of the film was eventually completed on March 27, 2021. The movie will release on Disney+ Hotstar on 24 December 2021.

Sunny Deol’s elder son, Karan Deol made his acting debut with the 2019 film Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas.

The movie was helmed by Sunny Deol himself and also marked the debut of actress Saher Bamba.
Unfortunately, for the young Deol, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas received a negative response from the audience and critics alike and failed to make a mark at the box office.
Two years later, Karan is back with his second film, Velle co-starring his “chachu” Abhay Deol.
The two are busy promoting the film and recently sat for a chat with MensXP discussing Velle and their respective careers.
    © Karan Deol Instagram
During the conversation, when we asked Karan about the failure of Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, the negative reviews he received for his performance and how he dealt with it.

He revealed that he took workshops for Velle and added, “I worked with Feroz sir who was a very big help to me during that period after Pal Pal...He instilled a lot of confidence in me. Obviously, it’s only natural as a human being to read reviews. I can lie to you and tell you I didn’t read the reviews but I did. And you have to take it with a pinch of salt and see where the criticism is right and what you need to work on.”

He further added, “As actors, we are always growing, day by day we are growing. Our growth never stops. I thought that ‘this time is given to you Rocky, don’t give up, don’t let the negativity overcome you and what can you do from here and grow as a person and grow as an actor and keep on working on yourself. Just keep on honing your craft. Be patient, your time will come. Don’t let the negativity keep you down.”
    © Karan Deol Instagram
He then talked about the support of his family in tough times, “I am fortunate to have such a supporting family. I am grateful for everything that they have given to me in my life. So just don’t give up. No one in your house has given up. Not a single family member of yours has given up no matter what has happened in their lives. So, look at all of them as role models. This industry has its ups and downs. So, just don’t give up and work on yourself.”

When asked if there was anything in particular told to him by any of his family members after his first film had flopped, Karan responded that his uncle Bobby Deol had a heartfelt chat with him, “Bobby chacha actually came to me and he said, ‘You see what had happened with me in between but look at my life right now. I have come back in a big way. We all have our ups and downs, so be patient and work on yourself and don’t let it affect you.’ He had come and he sat with me for a bit and I got emotional.”

We then asked Abhay how he looked at Karan’s debut film and if he had any conversation with him at that time or during Velle. Abhay replied, “No, honestly when you stumble, when you make mistakes, you have a setback, it’s the best thing that can happen to you. Because we only learn from our mistakes. So, I wasn’t worried about him at all. The industry can be a very harsh place. Not just by the people who inhabit it but even being in the public eye, being a public figure. Everybody has something to say about you.”

He continued, “My only worry for him was he shouldn’t take to heart what people are saying because people will always say something or the other. Even when you are riding high there will be criticism. But setbacks are good, setbacks are needed. We all go through them. He is pretty strong. And being born in a film industry, you kind of see it when you are a kid. So, we are actually stronger than we look. You are kind of conditioned right from the day you walk in school and you are being made fun of for being related to so and so and being the son of so and so. It starts from the beginning.”
    © Karan Deol Instagram
He then stated that whenever he has a conversation with Karan, he always tries to talk about positive stuff, “When I speak with Karan, I always try and speak about positive things and look at things happily. I don’t complain about things, I don’t pay attention to negative things. He knows already he has his family with him. He has me there, he has his father and his brother and his mother and all of us. So, we are in such a privileged place that things could be worse. So, never doubted for one moment that he wouldn’t get over it.”

Karan then added that the negative reaction to his debut film “fueled my fire. Pal Pal… fueled me inside and motivated me in a different way. Like it charged me up and energised me because we all are fighters. So, I said, ‘Chalo, get up and let’s go for another round’ because I am not gonna fall down.”

Abhay and Karan along with Anya Singh, Sawant Singh Premi, Vishesh Tiwari and Mouni Roy will be seen in Velle directed by Deven Munjal.
Backed by Ajay Devgn, Velle is slated for a big-screen release on December 10.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are one of the most admired celebrity couples of Bollywood.
They went from being co-stars to friends to soulmates and have been married for 14 years now.
However, not many people know that they actually met for the first time in 1997 during the shoot of Aishwarya’s first Hindi film, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya.

Even before Abhishek made his debut in 2000, the couple had already met during the shooting of Aishwarya and Bobby Deol’s film.

The Bob Biswas actor recently recalled their meet-cute story that happened two decades ago when he was in Switzerland scouting for locations for Amitabh Bachchan’s film Mrityudaata (he was working as a production boy).

He said in an interview, “My dear friend Bobby Deol was shooting his first film, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. I was at the same location, I went to say a hi to him when he said, 'oh come for dinner.' That was Aishwarya's first Hindi film and that's the first time I ever interacted with her,” he recalled.

However, he also said that Aishwarya told him later that she couldn’t understand what he was saying the whole time at the dinner.

It wasn’t that he was speaking an alien language or he was mumbling, but it was his ‘accent’ that made it difficult for her to understand him.

“And whenever she talks about it, she jokingly says, ‘I couldn’t understand a word of what you were saying’. Because here I was, a kid from an international boarding school, then went to Boston. I must’ve had some really heavy accent at that point. And she was like, ‘What were you saying?’” he shared.

Abhishek said that he went to Europe at the age of nine to study. And before that as well, he studied in an international school in Mumbai.

“My formative years, my training in acting and in the world of cinema and stage, my boarding school days was in English.” And, this is why he had developed a heavy accent. He also said that his father Amitabh Bachchan had advised him to take lessons in Hindi before entering films.

It so happened that destiny brought them together for a film, Dhai Akshar Prem Ke and this time, she could understand him.

They dated for a few years before Abhishek popped the question and the couple tied the knot in 2007.
