    Another day, another Kangana Ranaut controversy.  It looks like the Bollywood actress will always be part of the news because she really can never stop speaking, about anything, to anyone. Just recently, post winning the prestigious Padma Shri award at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Kangana, like any other actress or human being, could have gone about her business.

    But she didn't. She stirred up a controversy by saying that India’s Independence in 1947 was not freedom but actually “bheek” (alms). The Queen actress said that it was actually in 2014 that India really got its independence. Her statements obviously did not go down well with anyone, with politicians across the country criticizing for coming up with such a thing. 

    However, she stayed firm and said that if proven wrong, she would actually go on to return her Padma Shri. While everyone has been left divided by her statements, there is one person who is having none of it. 
    Lilabai Chitale, India's 91-year-old freedom fighter, slammed Kangana for her comments in a video that has now gone viral on social media. In the video, Chitale can be seen condemning Kangana's statements, with the freedom fighter even urging PM Modi to take action against her.

    The translated soundbite of the freedom fighter goes something like, "I am a freedom fighter and what Kangana said was very painful and disrespectful. I was arrested at the age of 12 and both my parents and brother had been in jail. I urge PM Narendra Modi to condemn her."
    Earlier, Bollywood music director and singer Vishal Dadlani, who is also very vocal about social and political issues on social media, took to Instagram to express his opinion about the remark.

    While sharing a picture of himself wearing a T-shirt with the face of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, he stated, “Remind the lady who said our Independence was ‘bheekh’. The man on my t-shirt is Shaheed Sardar Bhagat Singh, atheist, poet-philosopher, Freedom Fighter, son of India, and son of a Farmer. He gave his life for our freedom, for India’s Independence at age 23, and went to the gallows with a smile and a song on his lips. Remind her of him, of Sukhdev, of Rajguru, of Ashfaqullah, and all the many thousands of others who refused to bow refused to beg. Remind her politely, but strongly, so she never again dares to forget.”

    After the conclusion of the T20 World Cup, keeping with its post-tournament ritual, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the Team of the Tournament. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, who topped the batting chart in the tournament, was picked as the leader of the side.
    Like always, fans weren’t happy with the Playing XI and raised objections over few of the selections made by the world cricket’s governing body. New Zealand, who finished second best losing to Australia by eight wickets in the final, had only one player in the team of the tournament in the form of fast bowler Trent Boult.

    However, the biggest disappointment came Indian supporters’ way as none of their players made it to the side, dominated by winners Australia with three of their players making the cut.

    Before the tournament began, most experts had described India as the favourites to win the competition but the players’ underwhelming performance saw them getting knocked out of the first round itself.
    To be fair, given how the Indian players performed, none of them actually deserved a chance in the team of the tournament and ICC actually did the right thing by not giving them any consolation.

    Most fans agreed with the ICC’s list but some demanded clarification from the ICC as to why someone like Jasprit Bumrah was not included in the side. No doubt, Bumrah is a terrific bowler but including him would have been grave injustice to other bowlers who performed better than him in the series.

    A disappointed fan even took a dig at the world’s most powerful cricket board and enquired what’s the use of having so much money when none of its players could make the team of the tournament, while players from smaller countries like Sri Lanka had multiple presence.
    Not a single indian player.
    As they say, money cant buy neither class nor talent.

    Moeen Ali and Wanindu Hasaranga were picked as the two all-rounders, while Adam Zampa made it to the team as a specialist leg-spinner. The team featured three front-line pacers in Josh Hazlewood, Boult and Anrich Nortje, while Pak speedster Shaheen Afridi was named as the 12th player.
    The Men In Blue had an forgettable start to their campaign as they lost to their arch-rival Pakistan by 10 wickets in the opening encounter-- their first-ever defeat in World Cup history.

    After just one defeat, the team came up against the Kiwis in a virtual quarter-final and the players couldn’t handle the pressure and lost that match by eight wickets that all but quashed their hopes of qualifying to the next stage. By the time the Indian players got going it was too late.

    It’s the lowest the team has been in the last couple of years and there is only one way out of here and as fans we hope that under the new leadership, the players learn from their mistakes and make amends by bringing the trophy home next year.

    The movie franchises have really become the new Bollywood trend now, with the release of Sooryavanshi, which is part of Rohit Shetty's Cop-Universe that includes Ajay Devgn's Singham and Ranveer Singh's Simmba. This is in addition to Rohit's Golmaal series which again sees him team up with Ajay Devgn alongside Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, and Shreyas Talpade.

    There are many other series like these in Bollywood now, with Baaghi, Heropanti, and Salman Khan's iger and Dabangg series. However, before this, there was a movie series that got our hearts racing and produced by Yash Raj Films, it gathered together a star-cast unlike any other. We're talking about the three-part Dhoom movie series, which starred Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan, and others.

    Now, the last part was released eight years ago and we'd been waiting for there to be some news on Dhoom 4. However, it looks like there is some really bad news. As per reports, Abhishek Bachchan, who led the series as cop Jai Dixit has quit the series. The reason?

    Well, according to a source, he had a professional fall out with director Aditya Chopra, after which, and it was so bad that he decided to 'Never be a part of Dhoom again.' So, what happened exactly?
    According to a source speaking to Bollywood Hungama, things really went sour between the pair during the shooting of the last film in the Dhoom series. “The script for Dhoom 3 was being constantly changed in Aamir Khan’s favor. Abhishek’s protests to producer Aditya Chopra and director Vijay Krishna Acharya fell on deaf ears. The last straw was the climax. When Abhishek arrived at the location for the shooting he was told that the entire climax had been changed without his knowledge. This is when Abhishek put his foot down. He told Adi that he would not work in the Dhoom franchise again,” the source said.

    "Abhishek’s decision to stand up and let his displeasure about the changes be known to the producer did not go down well with Aditya Chopra," the source added. Abhishek had also teamed up with YRF for the original Bunty Aur Babli film, which had him paired opposite Rani Mukherjee. But, he was nowhere to be seen in the sequel which saw him be replaced by Saif Ali Khan.

    The source says that the movie was actually offered to Abhishek before Saif came on board, however, Junior B refused to be part of it. “Since the nasty experience with Dhoom 3, there has been a cold war between Abhishek and Aditya Chopra. Bunty Aur Babli 2 was offered to Abhishek. But he refused the offer,” said the source.
