    Not just that the southpaw wasn’t even included in the extended squad, meaning he wasn’t allowed to travel with the team to the stadium and enjoy the match from the dugout. He was forced to follow the game from his team hotel and this decision had ruffled quite a few eyebrows. 
    Despite all this, neither fans nor Warner were given any explanation by the SRH management, who kept insisting that the decision was solely based on the cricketing logic to help the team improve their performance in the remaining matches.

    Even Warner had complained that after what he had done for the franchise, he expected better communication from the SRH leadership group but he was discarded like scrap material. 
    “The other disappointing thing for me was not being explained why I was dropped as captain. If you want to go along the lines of form, it is a difficult one because, I guess whatever you have done in the past would have some weight moving forward, you would think,” Warner had said in an interview with Sports Today last month.

    The speculations were rife that Warner’s exclusion had nothing to do with his lean patch but till now there was nothing concrete to substantiate that claim. But now we have. 
    Eulogising about the impact that Warner had on Australia's World Cup winning campaign, his former teammate Brad Haddin, who was also part of the SRH support staff as an assistant coach, has shared some insights into the decision to drop the Aussie veteran. 
    The former Aussie wicket-keeper said that the decision to drop Warner from the squad “was not a cricket decision”. He also added that watching Warner from close quarters he always knew that he was not out of form. All he lacked was a little bit of match practice.

    “I tell you what it was not a cricket decision that he was not playing for SunRisers Hyderabad. I think the one thing you have to realise with David is that he was not out of form, he was out of match practice. They had a long break, he did not go to Bangladesh or West Indies. But he turned up in really good headspace. He was hitting the ball well, circumstances were out of our control, even the coaching staff,” said Haddin on the Grade Cricketers Podcast. 
    “But it was not because he was out of form. All he needed was some match time, he was hitting the ball well. He just needed to spend some time in the middle to get the rhythm again. As the tournament went on, you have seen his class. He got a bit of rhythm back into his game and he was good to watch,” he added. 
    Haddin didn’t elaborate much about the decision but it provided the SRH fans with enough raw material to come up with their own theories.

    The Bollywood wedding season is upon us, with actor Rajkumar Rao finally getting married to his long-term girlfriend Patralekhaa. However, there is another superstar wedding that is around the corner, which happens to be Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif's.
    The two  Bollywood stars will get married between the 7th and 12th of December at the Six Senses Fort at Barwara luxury resort, where the tariff for a basic room starts at over Rs 75,000, per night.

    However, despite the wedding being so grand with a long list of superstar names on it, there are a few prominent Bollywood superstars that are going to miss the wedding.

    Salman Khan is probably one of the biggest actors in Bollywood, and as per reports, Vicky Kaushal actually proposed to Katrina in front of him only. It is also said that Salman was the first person to be invited to the star wedding.

    However, it looks like Salman will not be attending the wedding with the reason being the relationship between Salman and Katrina in the past. Not very surprising, to be honest.

    Akshay and Katrina just starred in the Rohit Shetty blockbuster Sooryavanshi, and have always had wonderful chemistry having worked together in blockbuster films like Welcome, Singh is King, and others. However, it appears that Akki would be giving the wedding a miss as he's scheduled for shootings for other projects.

    The two stars are already set to get married to each other next year. The two will, however, miss Vicky and Katrina's wedding. While there has been no clear reason for it, we feel that it could be down to Ranbir dating Katrina just before Alia, and it doesn't seem like a no-brainer for both parties.

    Ajay Devgn is a star who usually stays away from almost all Bollywood social events unless it's for a reason or for the promotion of his own movies.

    And this looks like one of the things that he is going to miss. While Ajay shares a good relationship with Katrina having worked with her in Rajneeti and this year's Sooryavanshi, it is reported that it's close to impossible for him to take time off his busy schedule to attend the wedding.

    Shah Rukh Khan has worked with Katrina in several movies, and the two share a very cordial relationship, with the actress even staying at SRK's Alibaug farmhouse. However, with King Khan going through so many personal problems with son Aryan, the actor will certainly miss Katrina's royal wedding.

    Virat Kohli's restaurant chain One8 Coummune has landed itself into a big controversy after it was alleged that these restaurants discriminate against the LGBTQIA+ community and bars them from entering their premises. 
    The issue was brought to notice by an LGBTQIA+ advocacy group called ‘Yes We Exist’. Taking to Instagram, they posted a detailed statement alleging that the restaurant chain owned by India’s Test and ODI skipper Kohli doesn’t allow entry to “gay couples or group of gay men”.

    “@virat.kohli you are probably not aware of this, but your restaurant @one8.commune in Pune discriminates against LGBTQIA+ guests. The other branches too have a similar policy. This is unexpected and unacceptable. Hope you make necessary changes asap. @deepigoyal @zomato - either do a better job at sensitising restaurants or stop providing your platform to businesses that discriminate,” the group wrote on Instagram. 
    In its detailed statement, the group further alleged that when they reached out to Pune branch they confirmed their discriminatory policy, which allows entry to only “cisgender heterosexual couples or groups of cisgender women”.

    As per their post, when it reached out to the Pune branch of One8 Commune, it confirmed their regressive policies which says “gay couples or a group of gay men not allowed; trans women are allowed subject to their clothing.” 

    The people had different viewpoints. Some lashed out at Kohli for not setting the right example through his business ventures and sending a wrong message to the society.

    We have heard many extraordinary stories of real people who despite being born with no privileges manage to pull their lives together. This might be just the case of good luck like the tea seller from Pakistan who was discovered by a photographer and now owns a cafe, or sheer hard work like this tea vendor who worked several jobs and got himself a job as a professor.

    Rafiq Ibrahim, a tea seller who hails from a small village in Kerala’s Echome village, was a bright student but describes his early years spent in poverty in a village, “Though I had a first-class, my first thought was to try some manual jobs in the area. Once out of school, boys would work in a jeep as a driver or a cleaner, and girls would be married off. That was how it was in Echome,” he said. 

    He and his sister clearly had other plans and were not going to be satisfied with just that.

    “I could see me wandering the streets filled with sandalwood agarbatti factories and lathe machines, screaming aloud ‘Tea Bekka’ (do you want tea) and pleading with customers to pay money.” He had to give up his education at the age of 19. However, he kept on learning and reading in his free time while working minor jobs.

    He worked hard and worked several jobs to survive and support his family financially. He said,  “As the condition at home remained the same, I went to Wandoor in Malappuram district where I got a job in a hotel at the bus stand,” he said. However it got shut soon after and he had to take up another job.

    He cleaned vehicles and worked as a footwear salesman for two years before his sister finally got a job and his family’s financial conditions started getting more stable. It was then that he decided to complete his education.

    He took up BA Economics course at Calicut University and applied for the MA Malayalam course at the Sree Sankara Sanskrit University in Kalady. He then went on to get his MPhil degree and his PhD. He secured a job as the assistant professor in Malayalam department at Kannur University and now teaches at the Nileshwar campus.

Days after a woman alleged Hardik of molesting and raped under the influence of hard drugs, the swanky all-rounder has found himself in yet another controversy after the the Customs Department reportedly seized two luxury wrist watches worth Rs 5 crore because the cricketer allegedly did not have the invoice. 
    After the completion of the T20 World Cup in the UAE, Hardik landed at the Mumbai airport on Monday morning.

    Responding to the reports, the all-rounder issued a statement on the micro-blogging site refuting all such claims of him concealing information from the Customs Department. He even added that he purchased the watches “lawfully” in Dubai and voluntarily went to the custom counter to declare the additional items he was carrying and to pay the requisite customs duty on the same.

Wrong perceptions have been floating around on social media regarding my declaration to customs at Mumbai airport, and I would like to clarify about what transpired,” read Hardik’s statement on Twitter.
    “I had voluntarily declared all the items that I'd lawfully purchased from Dubai and was ready to pay whatever duties that needed to be paid. As a matter of fact, the customs department had asked for all purchase documents which were submitted; however customs is doing proper valuation for duty which I've already confirmed to pay.

    “The cost of the watch is approximately ₹ 1.5 crore and not ₹ 5 crore as per the rumours floating around on social media. I'm a law-abiding citizen of the country and I respect all government agencies. I've received all the cooperation from the Mumbai customs department and I've assured my full cooperation to them and will provide them with whatever legitimate documents they need to get this matter cleared. All allegations against me of crossing any legal boundaries are totally unfounded,” he added.

    According to a report published on The Times of India website, the details Hardik had submitted to the customs officials at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMI) had discrepancy in it. 
    The officials observed that the invoice that Hardik had submitted didn’t have the actual serial number of the watches. Quoting its sources, the report further added that the Indian all-rounder had declared these watches as pre-owned but his claim fell flat when the serial numbers on the watches didn’t match.

    Also, as per multiple media reports, these couple of watches were estimated to have a combined worth of Rs 5 crore whereas Hardik, in his statement, refuted those claims saying that the cost of the watch was somewhere around Rs 1.5 crore not Rs 5 crore as reported by the media.
    Like always, the fans were divided in their opinions while some heaped praise on the all-rounder for living a lavish lifestyle, others cracked jokes and questioned the utility of buying such an expensive watch.
    One user enquired if his watch predicted the future, while another user decided to take a direct dig at his poor performance and wrote that wearing a costly watch won’t change his fortune and bring back his good old days on the field.

Their romance is a reminder of the fact that true love still exists in a day and age where people have commitment phobias. After getting married, Rajkummar and Patralekhaa hosted a wedding reception, a picture from which has started to go viral.
    The picture shows the couple posing with the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. In the caption of the post, CM Khattar wrote in Hindi that he participated in the couple’s wedding celebrations in Chandigarh, and gave them his blessings.

    It was surreal to see the two walking the aisle and finally announcing their wedding with magical pictures. Rajkummar wrote in his post, “Finally after 11 years of love, romance, friendship and fun, I got married to my everything today, my soulmate, my best friend, my family. Today there is no greater happiness for me than being called your husband @patralekhaa. Here’s to forever .. and beyond.”

    As per an exclusive report in ETimes, the couple also danced to Shah Rukh Khan’s songs at the wedding reception. A source told the entertainment portal, “Since Rajkummar is such a big SRK fan, it was a given that songs from SRK's films would play at the wedding. Rajkummar had requested the band to play his favourite songs from Shah Rukh Khan's films.”  
    Well, not only did the couple dance to SRK’s songs, Rajkummar also sang a few of his favourite tracks from Shah Rukh's films. 
    For their wedding reception, Patralekhaa looked stunning in a cream silk saree by Sabyasachi that she paired with heavy jewellery and a shawl while Rajkummar complemented her in a black tuxedo.
