The Pakistani cricket team, currently on a tour to Bangladesh, has created a huge controversy by hoisting its national flag during one their training sessions while preparing for the upcoming T20I series.

Their move has angered the local cricket fans and they are demanding the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to take strong action and cancel the upcoming series.
Ahead of the series opener on November 19, the Bangladeshi fans were agitated with the fact that the visitors broke the protocol by hoisting their national flag in the Mirpur ground.

As Bangladesh gears up to celebrate its golden jubilee of its independence in March next year, many local cricket fans believe that Pakistan hoisted its flag deliberately in order to give a political message.

    — MeghUpdates™ (@MeghBulletin) November 16, 2021
After the huge outrage on various social media platforms, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), through its team manager, issued a statement which stated that this practice of hosting the national flag during training sessions was started by their coach Saqlain Mushtaq a couple of months back to “boost team’s morale”.

“(Pakistan) coach Saqlain Mushtaq launched the practice to boost the team's morale,” the Pakistan team manager Ibrahim Badizi told the BBC Bangla Service, as reported by news agency PTI.
However, not every fan was as angry with the Pakistani team’s flag hoisting ritual. One such fan argued that considering the matter’s sensitiveness in mind, the ideal way would have been to seek local cricket board’s permission before carrying out their pre-match routine.

    — Cosmic Traveler (@_Shuyed_) November 16, 2021As far as the series is concerned, the two teams take the field for the first time since the T20 World Cup when they take on each other in the first T20I at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on November 19. The three-match T20I series will culminate on Nov 22, followed by a two-match Test series, which gets underway on Nov 26 in Chattogram.

Body shaming is one of the most common issues that both men and women have to deal with on a daily basis.

“Arrey, tu toh kaafi mota ho gaya hai!”
“Mere saath gym join kar, pakka abs aa jaayengi teri bhi.”
“Tu toh kuch zyada hi patla ho gaya, pehle ekdum perfect tha.”
We have all heard one or more variations of such statements. Be it friends or family, commenting on another person’s physical appearance has become just another way of saying hello.
Even though such statements often come from loved ones, you don’t have to tolerate them. No one, including your inner circle, has the right to shame you for your physical appearance.
More so, these beauty standards are so impossible that even celebrities find it hard to meet them, from time to time.
Here are five Bollywood and internet celebrities that have been victims of body shaming.
    1. Arjun Kapoor  © Instagram/Arjun Kapoor
Arjun Kapoor’s transformational fitness journey has inspired many. However, there are some people that still think that his fitness is not up to the mark. He has spoken about experiencing body shaming online multiple times and has dealt with it by not taking it seriously every time.

    2. Kanan Gill  © Instagram/Kanan Gill
This popular comedian does not need an introduction. He has made us laugh and entertained us even in the toughest of times. However, his body changed over time and his fans did not shy away from pointing that out on social media. We only hope he faced less shaming offline.

    3. Tanmay Bhat  © Instagram/Tanmay Bhat
From one popular comedian to another, Tamnay Bhat is one of the funniest Youtubers and comics in India. Tanmay Bhat opened up about his childhood bullying and body shaming experiences on an episode of The Ranveer Show, a podcast hosted by the popular youtuber, Ranveer Allahbadia. He mentioned on the show that he is yet to completely address and heal from all those shaming incidents.

    4. Kunaal Roy Kapur  © Instagram/Kunaal Roy Kapur
Kunaal Roy Kapur is popular for his role in movies like Delhi Belly and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Kunaal has talked about how he decided to get fitter for a role, and how his passion was the only reason he wanted to make a change.

In an interview with the Indian Express, he shared his worries about being typecast as the ‘fat, funny guy’, had he not broken the mould with his transformation.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2422__
    5. Uday Chopra  © Instagram/Uday Chopra
Most of us remember Uday Chopra for his role in Dhoom. We also remember his physique, however, we certainly do not expect him to look the same, throughout his life. An image of the actor, released in 2017, attracted hundreds of memes and jokes on his body and his weight change.

    __ECOMPRODUCT__2419__
The Bottomline It’s high time we understand that comments on someone’s body do more harm than good. People often disguise their body shaming under the pretence of concern, but is that really true? Does shaming really help and motivate another person? Not really. It only attacks their self esteem and self worth.
As for all those men who have been at the receiving end of body shaming, we hope you remember that good health and beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.

The Indian cricket team being led by Rohit Sharma, is ready to take on New Zealand in a three-match T20I series starting with the first one on Wednesday at the Sawai Mansingh cricket ground in Jaipur.
With some of the most common names of the team like Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja being rested for the entire series, a lot of new faces will get to play for their country as a part of the senior team. Therefore, ahead of the game time, the Men in Blue were engaged in a photoshoot.

    — BCCI (@BCCI) November 17, 2021
Soon after the shoot, the official Twitter handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared the Behind-the-Scenes video of the event. In the video, pacer Deepak Chahar could be seen flexing his muscles, while others like Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rishabh Pant could be seen posing and smiling for the camera.
Such pictures are nothing out of the ordinary and cricket teams are required to do these sessions regularly in order to get featured in the ever-evolving jersey designs these days.

However, some of the Indian fans have not yet recovered from the fact that “mighty” Team India, which was pipped as the favourites to win the T20 World Cup 2021, were unable to make it beyond the round of Super 12 and were even defeated by Pakistan for the first time in World Cup history.
Therefore, upon watching the video, these fans bashed the Indian cricket board for creating a lot of distractions for the boys, that has led to an adverse impact on their performance on the field:
please stop this shooting vdos like they are actors.

let them focus on only one thing and thats playing the game they love.

    — Aninda Saha Roy (@anindasr48) November 17, 2021 The Indian cricket team lost their first two matches during the T20 World Cup against Pakistan and New Zealand respectively. Following that, their fate was hanging but a threat and they could have only qualified for the next round if Afghanistan were able to defeat the Black Caps.
However, the Indian squad didn’t have the fairytale ending that they were hoping for as Kane Williamson’s side defeated the Afghans by eight wickets and 11 balls to spare, as they found their way into the semi-finals and eventually the final as well.

Having said that, the Kiwis are also recovering from their battle wounds after they were defeated by the Australians backed by some sensational batting by David Warner and Mitchell Marsh to win the World Cup trophy.

The president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly is all set to replace Anil Kumble as the next chair of the Men’s Cricket Committee in the International Cricket Council (ICC), according to reports.
Before Ganguly’s appointment as the chair, Kumble was trusted with this responsibility back in 2012, replacing the West Indies legend Clive Lloyd. The Indian spinning maestro was later reappointed in 2016 for a second successive term. In March 2019, Kumble started his third and final term, which is coming to an end in 2021, spanning a time period of nine successful years.

    — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) November 17, 2021
In his stead, Ganguly, who was an observer, a rather smaller role within the ICC, is now being promoted to the position of the committee chair. According to media reports, one of the key duties that the former Indian skipper will have to look after is to maintain the rules and regulations of the game across all cricket-playing countries.
Over the years as the BCCI president, Ganguly has proven that he was not only a great leader on the field but also in the administrative department. Having taken some really progressive steps such as bringing Pink Ball Tests to India, revamping the image of the National Cricket Academy alongside Rahul Dravid and increasing the average salary of domestic level cricketers, Dada has managed to leave a mark for himself.

It is arguably because of his excellence in the administrative and managerial roles that the ICC decided to promote him with the global body. However, not everyone is equally happy to see the organisation getting dominated by Indian names.

    — Kudzanai Musarurwa (@kudzimusar) November 17, 2021 Another Great News For The BCCI While Ganguly’s appointment as the new Committee Chair is a reason to be proud of how far Indian cricket has come, there is yet another reason for the Indian cricket board to feel good.
The ICC has agreed to take over the BCCI’s tax responsibilities for hosting three ICC tournaments on home turf in the years to come. India are set to look after the T20 World Cup 2026 in collaboration with Sri Lanka, the 2029 Champions Trophy and the 2031 ODI World Cup in association with Bangladesh as well.
#Cricket #BCCI@BCCI to save Rs 1500 crore in taxes for 3 @ICC events in 2024-31 cycle #ICC agrees to bear the burden; US, Namibia, Pakistan get events too; @SGanguly99 chairman of cricket committee

    Details https://t.co/LZ94XRA0IQ pic.twitter.com/mC2vj79R2B
    — TOI Sports (@toisports) November 17, 2021
While hosting events is a great responsibility, paying the heavy taxes to the government is an equally big pain and the ICC has agreed to shoulder those expenses, just like it does for all the other hosting nations.
“Every other cricket board gets tax exemptions from their government. But BCCI can’t expect the central government to bend its laws for us. Hence, all the members felt that the ICC should bear the damages. Anyway, BCCI generates the heaviest revenues by hosting events in India. The BCCI will not have to suffer any cuts from the ICC’s revenue pool,” a top BCCI official stated. This could help the Indian cricket board save at least Rs. 1500 crore over the three tournaments they will be hosting.

The new full trailer for Tom Holland's Spider-Man: No Way Home has finally been released by Marvel Studios and fans pretty much got everything they could have asked for. Taking the lead from the teaser trailer that came out in August, the new trailer sees Tom's Spider-Man fight so many villains, we almost lost count of exactly how many were there.

    © Marvel Studios
Since we heard the iconic laugh of Willam Defoe's Green Goblin in the teaser, we finally get to see him in full costume as he gets back to haunting Spider-Man after being long-dead.

    © Marvel Studios
Yeah, he died in the 2002 Spider-Man movie in an epic final battle with Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man.

Apart from him, we see Alfred Molina as Doc Ock up close, as he takes on Tom Holland's Spidey, and later gets captured. (Well, it sure looks like it, as he can be seen locked in some sort of a tank-like structure). We also see Jamie Fox's Electro and Lizard from Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man universe, alongwith Sandman from Tobey's Spidey universe, meaning that almost five (Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Lizard, Electro, Sandman) out of the Sinister Six definitely in line to fight against Spider-Man. Or Spider-Men, should I say?
    Yeah, that's right.
That brings me to the crux of the matter. To what we've all been waiting for. The news of the return of the Spider-Men from the previous movie franchises. Well, there is certainly an exciting scoop for you. They are definitely back, all right! Remember the leaked images of Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire that went viral on social media just a while back?
    © Twitter
Well, guess what? The images seem to be absolutely authentic, meaning that they are actually returning back. At the end of the trailer, you'll see Tom Holland taking on multiple villains by himself. However, it's not what it seems like. All the villains could be seen pointing in different directions just like this Twitter user found out.

Three villains all looking at different points with only 1 Spidermanhmmm... conveniently on the same railing where all the leaked phots have been. this is a 3v3 scene. #SpiderManNoWayHome pic.twitter.com/BnixKqEOEb
    — Andrew (@AndrewsVisual) November 17, 2021
The other thing is that, in the scene where Peter can be seen talking to Zendaya's MJ, he has blood and cuts on his face, similar to his appearance in the leaked images where he was standing with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
    © Marvel Studios
Not only that, the trailer shows Tom standing near the exact railings as the leaked images.

    © Marvel Studios
If you don't believe this, well, then this Andrew Garfield leaked picture from earlier justifies it.

    © Marvel Studios
So, you got it right. Despite the trailer mischievously not showing Tobey and Andrew, it's destined that they are indeed returning for the movie and you'll be able to see them next month on December 17. If you still need more proof, in the trailer Alfred Molina's Doc Ock himself says to Tom Holland's Spider-Man.

    'You're not Peter Parker'.
    © Marvel Studios
    © Marvel Studios
Well, correction, Doc Ock! He's not the only Peter Parker. Don't worry though. We'll all meet the three Peter Parkers soon in cinemas next month.

Excited much? Tell us in the comments below.

Every fitness conscious person who 'cares about their diet' would tell you that brown bread is better than white bread. They will also give you a number of reasons including fiber content, ingredients, nutrients, etc. The explanation, no matter how vague, always seems convincing for some reason.

    via GIPHY
However, are real observations and practical science involved behind the emphatic declaration that 'brown bread is healthier than white bread'? Perhaps not. Here, we will discuss the ground reality according to the quality of the bread that is actually available in the market.  Before you come at us with a bread knife, let's look at 4 facts that will help you settle the debate and pick sides: White Bread vs. Brown Bread.

    © iStock
    1. The ingredients for both white and brown breads, for the most part, are exactly the same. Both breads contain the same processed flour with minute differences in terms of colour and sugar.

    via GIPHY
    © Unsplash
    2. Most brown breads, if you get down to the basics, are in fact white breads with added colours / darker shades. The nutrition profile in terms of macros remains almost the same. (Feel free to check the nutrition label.)

    via GIPHY
    3. The brown bread available in the market is made with refined flour, just like white bread. A brown / beige shade does not guarantee health benefits.

    via GIPHY
    4. The 'atta bread' that is extremely popular, may actually contain enriched flour, which can give you a sugar spike. In other words, demonizing white bread unnecessarily is not fair.

    via GIPHY
But why is everyone biased when it comes to choosing brown bread over white bread, then? One needs to go deep into studying the nutrient profile of both the breads, and differentiate what is 'ideal' from what is 'real'. Commercially available brown breads, in most cases, do NOT stick to what 'should be' the ingredient profile or the process. Also, people often extrapolate the differences between 'atta' vs. 'maida' while comparing the two breads, which is not as simple as it sounds.

    via GIPHY
What is the truth, then? Which one is healthier - white bread or brown bread? The most practical answer would be - neither, or both, as they don't have a sea of difference as is the popular perception. You can have whichever one you enjoy, without worrying about disastrous consequences because of choosing white bread or miraculous benefits because of choosing brown bread. The best alternative would be to bake your own bread, where you'd actually be aware of the ingredients and can control the quality.

Whether it be as a comedian, actor, songwriter, or overall digital superstar, Bhuvan Bam has made his presence felt everywhere. The thing is, sometimes, he makes it look all too easy, even when it might not have been so. To be the man he is today, he’s had to undergo several transformations in the face of insurmountable odds.
Most men go through their entire lives, unaware of patriarchal conventions that demand a certain solitude, and unnecessary stoicism. These are among several other mental burdens that men are usually condemned to. They may be great traits to possess as a part of a larger, more colorful emotional tapestry, but as the cornerstones for masculine conventions, they’re acutely lacking. It's truly heartbreaking as its effects are so deeply ingrained in men for generations, it becomes harder for us to grow out of them.
    © MensXP
The 19th of November brings with it ‘International Men’s Day', and for the occasion, MensXP collaborated with India’s biggest Digital Content Creator, Bhuvan Bam, to talk about the various misconceptions and cultural tropes that he, and by extension, other men fall prey to, as part of the brand’s #DontManUp campaign.

The centerpiece to this collaboration is MensXP and Bhuvan Bam’s poignant video, where the digital icon bares his heart in a poem bound to tug at the heartstrings of men fed-up with flawed narratives like 'Men Don’t Cry', 'Toughen Up', or 'Be The Man Of The House.' This heartfelt piece is meant to highlight the insurmountable pressures in the lives of men from an early age.
    “पर दर्द तो हमें भी होता है
    दुखी हो तो मर्द भी रोता है
    हाँ हमारे लिए कहना ज़रा मुश्किल होता है
    बचपन से सीखा है ना man up, मर्द बन, लड़का होके रोता है?!
    दुख दर्द बाँटने का हमारे पास वक़्त नहीं है
    और जो ऐसा करे वो लौंडा सख़्त नहीं है”

In the poem, Bhuvan expresses his remorse at the haplessness of many men, bridled silently by regressive expectations that make it difficult for men to acknowledge their sorrows. He admits that it does get difficult for men to express their feelings, but he quickly goes on to point out some generational adages for such an inability. The ceaseless demand to ‘Toughen Up’ and ‘Man Up’, has harmed men more than we realize.
    © MensXP
A man crying is unfortunately considered an absurd anomaly, a muse for ridicule in fact. But why are men expected to stiffen up their upper lip when things get tough? How do we let go of such redundant cultural hardwiring?

Being the premier progressive Men’s lifestyle platform in India, MensXP explores these questions through the #DontManUp campaign.
