For fans of cinema and people who enjoy watching web series, this really is a golden age when it comes to good content, especially if you are living in India. Gone are the days when you'd be waiting for an American tv series ka ek, ek episode before downloading it from a torrent site.

Things have really changed with the introduction of OTT platforms like Prime Video, Netflix, and others, and thankfully, the web series scene is really kicking off when it comes to the Indian film industry.

Shows like Delhi Crime, Sacred Games, and Mirzapur, and a whole lot of others have given India a global name in terms of visual content, and well, there are a whole lot of good series that have become very popular amongst people.

One such show is the TVF produced Kota Factory whose season 1 really made quite an impact with cinephiles in general.

The show directed by Raghav Subbu, had a stellar cast of Jitendra Kumar, Mayur More, Ranjan Raj, Ahsaas Channa, Alam Khan, Revathi Pillai, and Urvi Singh. With the show revolving around the town of Kota, displaying the lives of students preparing for competitive examinations through coaching, it certainly was a very relatable thing for most viewers who also have gone through the same process.

Now, after the success of the first season, the show is back with season 2, which takes off from where it left off as Vaibhav, one of the leading characters, embarks on his journey to Maheshwari, one of Kota's leading training institutes. Again, the emphasis will be on how along with Jeetu Bhaiya, Vaibhav will try to balance the pressures of getting into IIT, while maintaining friendships and relationships with his mentor.
Soon after the release of the second season, viewers got onto Twitter to share what they felt about the show, and the reactions were really positive.
Let's take a look at some.

Why is Hardik Pandya not playing for the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2021? That is the question every single fan of the franchise has been asking each other, and to the franchise as well. Twitter is flooded with speculations on Pandya not being completely healthy, while others feel that MI is just being extra cautious in his case.
The fact of the matter is that the reigning champions haven’t looked like themselves in the last two matches, ever since the second leg of IPL 2021 started in the United Arab Emirates and skipper Rohit Sharma would be happy to get all the help that he can get his hands on.
    View this post on Instagram
Under such circumstances, the talents of someone like Pandya, who was once considered to be the modern-day equivalent of the great Kapil Dev for the Men in Blue, could come in extremely handy for the Hitman, and his attempt at three-peating the IPL championship.
Unless, of course Pandya continues to remain unfit and is struggling with his back bad enough to be recommended to stay out of action. If that is the scenario, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has some explaining to do about his selection in the final Team India roster for the T20 World Cup 2021, which begins in less than a month’s time.
Fans have been wondering about Pandya and his unusual predicament:
No Hardik Pandya? Do we know why? #MUMvsKKR #IPL2021
    — Vikrant Gupta (@vikrantgupta73) September 23, 2021If Hardik Pandya is not fit to play for MI, why is he not at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru?
    — Amit (@nottheamit) September 24, 2021Who is Hardik Pandya ????

    — Aᴀʀʏᴀɴ ❥ (@billyDurai) September 19, 2021And it isn’t just the fans who are wondering what is wrong with the all-rounder. Former Indian wicket-keeper batsman Saba Karim has also shown his concerns towards Pandya, his injury status and the implication it could have on the Men in Blue during the World Cup.
While speaking during a discussion of YouTube channel “Khelneeti”, Karim asked why Pandya was selected if he was injured.

“He (Hardik) is a big player. But the question now is when he was selected for the Indian team, was he fully fit or not? If he was fit then it is justified. But if not, then when did this niggle happen? If he was carrying that injury then why was he selected? The general rule is - you have to prove your fitness and go to NCA and come back. This rule applies to everyone. So, the question is right but we don't know what has exactly happened with Pandya,” said Karim.
Having said that, the Mumbai Indians ace is expected to be seen in action during the exciting clash against Virat Kohli’s increasingly desperate Royal Challengers Bangalore, who will be hoping to get back to their winning ways after also losing both their matches since the 2021 season resumed in the Middle East.

On Friday, the fans of the Indian Premier League witnessed what could probably be the last time Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni would face each other others as team captains in the clash between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore which was won by the former by six wickets and 11 balls to spare.
    View this post on Instagram
The Bengaluru side saw a sensational start by the duo of Devdutt Paddikal and Kohli himself, as the two batters built a 111-run partnership at the top of the order. However, as the Sharjah pitch slowed down a little and both Kohli and Paddikal were dismissed within three overs apart, the rest of the batting line-up couldn’t add anything significant to their squad’s cause.
RCB were restricted to just 156 after 20 overs after some incredible death-overs bowling by Dwayne Bravo and Deepak Chahar.
    View this post on Instagram
In the second half of the match, it was time for the CSK batters to do their magic and the opening act was conducted by Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad who came in all guns blazing. It took a miraculous catch by skipper Kohli to dismiss Gaikwad while a Navdeep Saini dive secured the Proteas' wicket.
Kohli would have hoped for a change in the match’s momentum after Dhoni’s openers were dismissed in quick succession but the CSK’s batting depth turned out to be more terrifying than people had expected.
    View this post on Instagram
While the English cricketer Moeen Ali sent the ball over the boundary ropes a couple of times, it was the highly underrated Ambati Rayudu, who made an exceptional comeback after getting retired hurt in the previous match, to play a match-turning 32-run innings off 22 deliveries.
The winning runs came from the vintage duo of skipper MS Dhoni and his deputy in command Suresh Raina, as CSK took home a second comprehensive victory in a row ever since the second leg of IPL 2021 began in the UAE.

Up until the beginning of the 2021 edition of the tournament, Chennai Super Kings were heavily trolled for having the oldest team in the league with an average age of 30.08 years. It was looked at as one of the primary reasons why Dhoni and Co. finished seventh in the points table last season. They were called a bunch of ‘washed-up old dads,’ back then.

    — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) September 24, 2021
This year, however, CSK is not only atop the points table once again, but they are also just one win away from qualifying for the playoffs as the team appears to be a perfect blend of bowling attack and batting depth.
Fans took this opportunity to hit back at all the trolls who were calling out the franchise for purchasing (and sticking with) the ‘old dudes’ and let them know why ‘baap baap hota hai’:
They said CSK Daddies. We’ll said! Baap baap hota hai!

A blockage in blood vessels supplying blood to our brain, or a reduction in the supply of blood to the brain for a moment, chiefly due to a clot travelling from the heart, are common reasons for a stroke.
Strokes can be disabling and potentially life-threatening. Millions of Indians are at risk of it without even realizing. Although the numbers of stroke patients continues to rise rapidly, like many other neurological conditions, there is still a severe lack of awareness amongst the Indian population regarding this condition.
Timely treatment of stroke is crucial as it helps improve a patient’s quality of life and reduces lifelong morbidity and mortality. While older people are traditionally more prone to a stroke, ischemic strokes now commonly occur in young people below 50 or 40 years, and cases of adolescents/teenagers with stroke have been reported too.
Strokes at a young age naturally bear more life-altering implications for people who may be at the prime of their educational or professional careers, and could leave them disabled during their most productive years, thus negatively impacting them more severely compared to strokes in older adults.
Here are five things that Dr Pankaj Agarwal, our resident neurology expert, advises the youth to keep in mind:
Covid Induced Strokes - During these Covid times, it is even more important to be aware of strokes among the youth, as cases of devastating ischemic strokes are increasingly being found in otherwise completely healthy COVID patients even in their 20s and 30s. Covid-19 has shown to cause abnormal and severe clotting in one’s blood.  It is imperative to follow all public safety guidelines during Covid  such as wearing a mask, social distancing, and hand sanitising.
    © iStock
Malleable Brain - One must note that owing to better neuroplasticity - our brain’s inherent ability to adjust and learn new skills -, a young person with stroke has a relatively higher chance of recovery than an older person. An interplay of various factors help in determining how one will recover after suffering from a stroke. These include location and size of stroke, time at which the treatment was started and other comorbidities.

    © iStock
Vaccination Saves Lives - Get vaccinated as early as possible. These guidelines  are minor inconveniences that can help avoid life-altering complications. It is also worth pointing out that, if you get a stroke, do not delay treatment due to Covid.

    © iStock
There Is Hope - A recently published Korean study of 3.5 million young (20-40 year olds) adults in the journal Circulation suggests that while it’s better to start out with good heart health and healthy habits, gains in health are possible even for those who don’t have good heart health in young adulthood.

    © iStock
Lifestyle Fixes - To remain in the best health throughout life, it is essential to eat a well-balanced diet, avoid processed foods and sugary drinks, limit your salt and alcohol intake, exercise daily, and quit smoking . A regular regimen of these will definitely go a long way to lower your risk of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Please keep safe and sound with these tips in mind. Remember, our safety is our responsibility.

There are rains and then there are rains in Bombay. Just like Dilli ki sardi which has a certain charm to it altogether, Mumbai's rains have made a name for themselves, for both good and bad reasons.
    © iStock
Now, while many really enjoy the rains in a similar fashion to how they are romanced in Bollywood movies, the thing is that they can really be a tricky thing to deal with, especially for stray animals living on the streets.

It doesn't take more than a few hours of rain to get a lot of areas in Mumbai inundated, making it a very difficult thing for the innocent dogs of the city. However, there are times when the humans among us turn up to show their love for the street animals by being kind to them.
One such heartwarming moment was when an employee of the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai chose to share an umbrella with a stray dog getting drenched in the rain. The incident was captured on the camera with the picture soon doing rounds on the internet.
    © Instagram/Ratan Tata
It garnered so much attention that it even reached Ratan Tata, the Chairman of Tata Group, with one of the reasons being that the hotel that the employee worked for also comes under the Tata Group.

    © iStock
Mr. Tata, who is known to be a dog lover himself, posted the image on his Instagram account.

“Sharing comfort with the strays this monsoon. This Taj employee was kind enough to share his umbrella with one of the many strays while it was pouring quite heavily. A heartwarming moment was captured in the busy hustle of Mumbai. Gestures like these go a long way for stray animals,” wrote Mr. Tata.
Soon after his post went online, Ratan Tata's followers expressed their admiration and love for the man and his kind act.
One user wrote, "Man with a golden heart."
A user even praised Mr. Tata for taking a moment to acknowledge the act of kindness. "Best gift by God in form of lovely cute ones....@ratantata we are blessed that you gave us a moment to cherish," he said.
Mr. Tata is known to be a huge dog lover and he is so fond of them that there is a special kennel at his Bombay House, the global headquarters of Tata Group, which is dedicated to all the stray dogs in the area.
Now, this is a story that surely brightens up our day.

The second ODI between the Indian and the Australian women’s team ended on a rather controversial note when the final delivery of the match was adjudged a no-ball by the third umpire when the evidence wasn’t substantial enough.
The Women in Blue were already celebrating after Aussie batter Nicole Carey hit Indian veteran Jhulan Goswami’s full toss towards the square leg as the hosts needed three runs from the final ball to win the match.
Tried my best to see if the no ball call was right. Picture on the left is Carey facing up for the last ball (waist blue line) Picture on the right is point of impact. Red line shows she is bent. Question is was the ball dipping enough? Plus my lines may not be exact science pic.twitter.com/MLq5fVfxhM
    — Lisa Sthalekar (@sthalekar93) September 24, 2021
However, the on-field umpire signaled for a potential no-ball while suspecting the height at which the full toss was delivered and felt that it was an illegal delivery because the ball might have been above Carey’s waist. The decision was sent upstairs and the final verdict came out against the touring side.
As a result, the Australians were awarded an extra run, a free-hit, and an additional delivery. With just two runs required on the final ball and the protection of not getting caught-out, Goswami’s final ‘final’ ball was sent for a double, allowing the hosts to win the match by five wickets, while extending their undefeated streak to 26 matches.
Here are the original photos….tried to measure the blue from stump height and put it on the next photo. pic.twitter.com/XH4UtLOW5a
    — Lisa Sthalekar (@sthalekar93) September 24, 2021
After the match was over, it did not take long for Indian fans to be livid all over the internet, expressing the lack of justification behind such a controversial decision, especially because of the fact that Carey was bending way below her standing position and that her waist-line would have been above the height at which the ball was delivered if she was standing upright - which is the right way to judge the legality of the delivery.

    Here’s how the fans reacted:
This Aus team is the greatest cricket team of all time. Comparable to Lloyd or Pontings team. Lannings team is even better! That’s why it hurts that much more. The Indians will feel crestfallen. If there is a chance, and there is clearly, please eliminate chances of controversy.

Just a quick one though - doesn’t two above the waist no balls mean you’re out of the attack!? Anyways. Wow. Proud. #AUSvIND

I am sure that last ball would not have been a no ball in men's game. Third umpire wouldn't dare to give such a horrendous call in the presence of Virat Kohli. pic.twitter.com/6XfeoSJpC7
    — nagalla pruthvi (@nagallapruthvi) September 24, 2021 However, Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana tried to water down the controversy around the incident after the match was over and India had lost.
"We have not really seen the ball yet as a team. We were out there on the field, so it is very hard to judge if it was a waist-high no-ball or not. It is too early for us to call, we have to see the ball and we will have a look at it.
"When these things go in your favour, you are really happy but would not add up to the controversy. I have seriously not looked at the ball yet," Mandhana said during the post-match media interaction.

September 24 is a special day for every fan of the Indian cricket team as it was on this day back in 2007 when the Men in Blue lifted the very first T20 World Cup trophy after defeating Pakistan in the final.
It was the first major ICC tournament which MS Dhoni had won as the captain of the squad and established himself as one of the most likeable players in the history of the game in the country.

    — Harbhajan Turbanator (@harbhajan_singh) September 24, 2021
So when Harbhajan Singh shared the image of the team celebrating the victory at the podium with the iconic World Cup trophy in their hands and the fans couldn’t spot the skipper in the frame, they automatically assumed that the spinner had cropped him out of the picture.
“Nice Bhai Nicely Croped MSD Photo (sic),” wrote one of the Twitter users on Bhajji’s picture while being sarcastic about not having his captain feature in the picture. He was hinting at the trophy emoji Singh had pasted at the bottom right corner of the picture while thinking that it was done to cover up Dhoni’s face. This tweet has not been deleted.
Singh, who is very active on social media decided to teach the presuming fan a harsh lesson and replied to his comment with the original picture which showed the cameraman bending over in right in front of the frame.

To add salt to the wounds of the fan, Singh added a caption in which he said: “Now u can lick what u see in the picture I cropped.”
It didn’t take long for the brutal response to go viral and many even felt that the Bhajji had made a typo and accidentally wrote “lick” instead of “look” or “like”. But the others, who wanted to believe that there was no typo and that Harbhajan really was that savage, had the time of their lives commenting on the post.
