Monsoon is here and while it is helping take the heat away, make us want coffee & pakoras, there are a few downsides to it as well. Remember how our parents used to make us take a shower as soon as we got back from playing in the rain, why was that?

Why Is Rainwater Bad For Your Hair?In the movies, dancing in the rain gets you the girl, but in real life, it only gets you dandruff (and possibly the flu). All of the extra effort you put in to take care of your hair and skin during the monsoons could be washed away with a few rainy-day walks.
Here are some of the ways rain can harm your hair and skin. Hopefully, this will help persuade you to put your umbrella in your bag or stay at home till the rain stops.
    1. Fungal infections__ECOMPRODUCT__2198__
The moisture in the air, along with your damp clothes from being outside in the rain, can cause your skin and scalp to stay wet for an extended period of time. This invites ringworm, athlete's foot, and other fungal skin illnesses, as well as fungal hair infections. This is also why you should always take a hot shower after being in the rain and a lot of shampoo.
    2. Dandruff__ECOMPRODUCT__2199__
While dandruff can appear in any weather, the monsoon season's humidity makes you more susceptible to it. The irritation in your scalp associated with dandruff is caused by a fungus called Malassezia. To keep it at bay, make sure you shampoo your hair on a regular basis and don't leave it wet for long periods of time.
    3. Frizziness and dullnessΒ __ECOMPRODUCT__1043__
Getting your hair wet in the rain can deplete its natural moisture, leaving it frizzy, dry, and dull. Aside from avoiding rain, you should oil and condition your hair on a regular basis to provide it with the moisture it needs.
    4. Breakouts__ECOMPRODUCT__2200__
The combination of frequent perspiration and the dirt found in rainwater can result in a free-for-all germ party. Keep your skin dry, but hydrated and moisturised, to avoid breakouts during the monsoon. Sometimes a few breakouts can appear on your scalp as well, so use oil to keep your hair hydrated.
    5. Hair fall__ECOMPRODUCT__2201__
Rainwater weakens the structure of your hair, making it harsher and thinner. Instead of a harsh shampoo, choose a light, moderate one to help strengthen your hair throughout the rainy season. Remember to cover your head if you go outside in the rain.
To Wrap UpWe are not stopping you from enjoying the rain. It is super fun to go on drives or even bike rides in the rain. If you do, just remember to do some good aftercare with shampoo, conditioner and maybe even a hair mask. Also, remember to take care of your skin as well.Β Β

Okay, so before any of Bhai’s fans come at me for picking up and dissecting one of his better movies, especially since his track record has movies like Dabangg, Radhe, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and many others, let me make it clear that despite β€˜Sultan’ looking like a progressive film, it really wasn’t.Β
    Why? Read on.
    Β© Yash Raj Films
The story starts with an introduction of the characters of Aarfa, a fierce wrestler played by Anushka Sharma and Sultan Ali Khan, a roadside Romeo played by none other than Salman Khan himself.Β

    Β© Yash Raj Films
Like in a typical Bollywood movie where the concept of β€˜love at first sight (and first rejection of the woman)’ is oversold, here too, the story between the protagonists starts with Salman Khan falling in love with Aarfa who is busy knocking people down in her father’s akhada.

    Β© Yash Raj Films
Taking to the likes of an obsessed lover, Salman walks up to the woman and professes his interest in her, only to be shot down by Anushka Sharma who pretty early on makes it clear that she doesn't have time for his crap and has only one focus in her life - wrestling.Β

Only if she stuck to that instinct, we wouldn’t be dissing the movie right now...
    Β© Yash Raj Films
What follows next is an unflattering and utterly problematic pursuit of Aarfa by Sultan, whose male ego has been hurt by getting turned down by a woman.Β

And now, because she has said β€˜no’ to him, he can’t rest until he converts it into a β€˜yes’ because that is what all men in the society are taught to do anyway, along with putting up a toxic display of their masculinity and manhood that gets validated only after getting the woman they set their eyes on.
    Β© Yash Raj Films
Since he finds out the way to win her heart is by becoming a wrestler, he spends the next few songs (with lyrics like - baby ko bass pasand hai) in the movie by turning into one and that too quite easily because well, Bollywood.Β

    Β© Yash Raj Films
And not to anyone’s surprise, he succeeds in winning over Aarfa because well, Bollywood again. Impressed by his near-stalkerish and manchild ego, Aarfa agrees to marry Sultan.Β

    Β© Yash Raj Films
The two are then shown to progress together in the field of wrestling.

    Β© Yash Raj Films
After this point, the movie soon picks up a direction - South.Β

Aarfa, who up until now was shown as this strong, independent and career-oriented woman, becomes pregnant and a victim to patriarchy all at the same time.
    Β© Yash Raj Films
This happens the same time around which she is also finally selected for the 2012 Olympics in London. While her father still does give two flying f**ks about her lifelong dream, Anushka’s character is too busy passing them onto her husband who has been a wrestler for all of two minutes.Β

    Β© Yash Raj Films
And just like that, disappointing us more than we thought Salman’s character would, Aarfa feeds into the societal pressure, stereotypes and patriarchal ideology where it is believed the woman will always give up her career for attaining motherhood and, of course - enabling her husband at her own expense. Because according to her, β€œwhat greater medal could I get than this?”. How about an actual gold medal at the freaking Olympics?!

    Β© Yash Raj Films
It is funny that a movie that tried so hard to be progressive about women having ambitions, ended up doing exactly the opposite, as Anushka’s character makes the obvious choice between a child or a career.Β

Because at the end of the day, even by Bollywood’s progressive standards, that is the choice that is expected out of a woman.
    Β© Yash Raj Films
As Aarfa stays back to deliver the baby, Sultan is busy winning accolades in the Olympics and ends up missing the birth of his son.Β

Don’t even get us started on how the man was so sure he’d give birth to a β€˜son’ and not a β€˜daughter’.Β
    Β© Yash Raj Films
Sultan doesn’t just miss the birth of his newborn son, but also his untimely death, for the baby is born with a condition that requires him to need more blood, but the only other person with the same blood group was off winning golds at the World Olympics.Β

    Β© Yash Raj Films
This is where the couple gets estranged, Aarfa blames him for their child’s death, as does Sultan and the two don’t speak to each other for several years.Β

    Β© Yash Raj Films
Cut to the second half of the movie where Sultan is relentlessly pursued by Akash Oberoi (played by Amit Sadh) to take part in his MMA tournament. Sultan who has lost all will and physique to fight is shown to go under a tremendous transformation.Β

    Β© Yash Raj Films
For some reason, most of this training happens at archaeological sites because apparently, they are better suited to host wrestlers than honoring the purpose for which they were built.

    Β© Yash Raj Films
He trains hard and for the purpose of earning enough money to open a blood bank (as a way to repent for the loss of his son).Β

    Β© Yash Raj Films
All this happens under the training of an ex-MMA fighter played by Randeep Hooda, as Sultan gets ready for the ring.Β

    Β© Yash Raj Films
Of course, the man ends up winning every fight and even gets seriously injured in one, which lures the estranged wife aka Aarfa back, who by this time, had turned into a quiet backdrop.Β

    Β© Yash Raj Films
While she advised him against fighting, he obviously doesn’t listen and goes on not just to win the fight but also win Aarfa back, all with a broken rib cage. Because, Bhai.

    Β© Yash Raj Films
They bury the hatchet, get back together, open a blood bank, Aarfa resumes wrestling, gives birth to a baby girl and the two start training her.

    Β© Yash Raj Films
    The End.Β

You don’t have to be Joey Tribbiani to appreciate a good pizza.Β

Pizza is loved by almost everyone, so much so that it makes us wonder - what makes it so special?Β
If you’re a fan of this delicacy, you know the answer - it’s cheese!Β
Pizza without cheese is like dessert without chocolate. Even though cheese is what makes this food a universal hit, it’s also responsible for giving it the reputation of being β€œunhealthy”.Β
But is it really that bad for your health?Β
    Let’s find out!Β
Health Benefits Of CheeseΒ The truth is that no food is healthy or unhealthy in isolation and cheese is no exception to the rule. However, whether it will benefit you or not will depend on the recipe, the quantity and the variety of cheese you consume.Β

There are many different varieties of cheese available in the market. Feta, goat, parmesan, swiss, blue and mozzarella are some of the most popular varieties of cheese.Β
    Giphy.com
Cheese in general is a rich source of protein and calcium, while being extremely low in carbohydrates. This is what makes it a healthy option for people on a low-carb diet. However, cheese is also a rich source of saturated fats and sodium, both of which are needed in very limited quantities.Β

Because of its nutritional value, cheese is considered good forΒ reducing blood pressure,Β gaining muscle,Β lowering risk of type 2 diabetesΒ and strengthening bones. In fact, researchers also suggest eating about 40 grams of cheese per day to improve heart health. It also helps inΒ improving immunityΒ andΒ gut health, all thanks to the probiotics.Β

How To Include Cheese In Your Diet Β© iStock
Whether cheese can really be healthy for you or not will also depend on the entire recipe. A well balanced meal should have a good ratio of macro and micronutrients.Β

Here are some tips that you can follow while preparing your healthy meals with cheese:Β
    1. Adding Cheese In SaladsΒ If you’re someone who doesn’t like salads, adding cheese is a great way of improving the taste of it. Just cut up your cheese into even cubes and drop them in your salad. Feta cheese is very popularly used in healthy salad recipes and tastes delicious.Β
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2194__
    2. Add Cheese To Your OmelettesIf you’re looking for a healthy, protein-rich breakfast option, go for this one. Adding cheese to your regular omelette or any other type of eggs, will not only make it richer but also yummier. Make sure to go for a low-fat cooking oil and your healthy cheesy meal is ready.Β
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2195__
    3. Replacing Red Meat With CheeseΒ We know that excluding any kind of meat from your diet is a bit too much for any non-vegetarian. However, you can reduce the consumption for the sake of your heart. Red meat evidently increases the risk of heart attacks. Replacing it with cheese will help you get in the healthy fats and protein, without risking your heart health.Β
    __ECOMPRODUCT__522__
    4. Have Cheese With FruitsΒ If you pair your cheese and fruit the right way, this can be a great healthy snack option for you. Watermelon and Feta, Raspberry and Cream Cheese, Mango and Goat Cheese and Apple and Cheddar are some good pairings that you can try.Β
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2196__
    5. Have Cheese With VegetablesΒ If you love cheese, you need to have some baked vegetable and cheese recipes up your sleeves. They are healthy, nutritious and perfect for anyone trying to lose weight. Broccoli, peppers and eggplant are some of the many vegetables that go well with cheese.Β
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2197__
The BottomlineΒ Having cheese is healthy but only if you eat it in moderation and pair it with the right foods. Instead of going for your usual pizzas and pasta, go for healthier alternatives instead. This will not only help you devour cheese but also make healthy food taste delicious.Β

Men are conditioned to believe they need to look a certain way. The taller the better, muscular, of course, and must have a chest size he can boast about.Β Β

Women are burdened with these societal expectations as well but for them, these issues are being addressed lately and there is a change being witnessed in the mindset of most. However, no one wants to talk about how the men, who don’t fit the bill, are shamed and ridiculed almost every day.Β
    Β© iStock
It is definitely not easy for men who aren’t β€œmuscular enough” or β€œbelow 6 feet” and it’s a shame. Young men who go through similar struggles every day recently opened up about how their life’s different for them just because they don't fit the ideal male body type and are a bit shorter or thinner than average.Β

    Β© Instagram/Manav Manglani
Someone on Reddit posted, β€œMen in their 20s and 30s, who are shorter and thinner than average, how different/difficult is everyday life?”

Guys who could resonate with it shared their experiences and talked about things they face among friends, family and the women around them because they don’t match society’s male body standards:
    1. When Looking Young Isn’t A Boon But A Baneβ€œPeople thinking I'm a lot younger is definitely annoying and it leads to some very patronising situations. I still get asked the grade in which I study... not even college. I'm working right now.”
    2. Who’s Allowing People Like These On Tinder?Β "Swipe left if under 6ft"
    Β© iStock
    3. Not Being Taken Seriously Is Truly Dishearteningβ€œThe most common for me is not being taken seriously because I look 17. Salespeople don’t approach, you have to ask for service, people talk down to you, etc.”
    4. When All Fails, Comment On Their Body? Real Niceβ€œSometimes, men try to demean you for your height (personal attacks) when you argue with them.”
    Β© iStock
    5. The 'Girl Problem' Persistsβ€œI'm 20, 5'4 and 123lbs. Women aren't really interested in me and other guys seem to talk over me more than most.”
    6. Being Talked Over Is A Serious ThingI'm not short but thin, talked over yes. Is talked over really a 'thin thing' or is it more like a self-confidence thing, or how strong your voice is?
    Β© iStock
    7. This Isn’t So Badβ€œSometimes, I need help reaching the top shelf. But that's it. That's the only difference or difficulty I notice. Decent people don't care about my length at all and I don't have a physical labour job so that's all good.”
Can we leave these regressive bodily expectations behind and appreciate everyone for who they are from the inside? Ted Bundy was tall and handsome too. Just saying.

Sidharth Malhotra’s Shershaah will release on 12th August and recently, in an interview, he spoke about the difficulties involved in shooting this film in Kargil. The film revolves around the life of Captain Vikram Batra, who died in the 1999 Kargil War.

Sidharth said, "We are the first film to shoot in Kargil. And, we were also shooting a film in Kargil, about the Kargil war. We have been as authentic as possible. There were so many physical difficulties. (There was the problem of) low oxygen. We shot at a height of 14,000 feet. Though, the actual war was fought at 17,000 feet height.”
    View this post on Instagram
He further elaborated, "We did not have enough infrastructure at these locations. When it rained, we huddled under rocks and umbrellas. I think it is most authentic and real, the way we have shot the film. For me, and most actors, it was a blessing that there was just one camera and one camera person as we shot, to make us feel as real as possible. There were none of the massive setups. At times, when you are there, crouching behind a rock, you kind of forget that you are actually shooting."
Director of the film Vishnuvardhan said,"There are so many undiscovered things that you can spot in this place. While filming, we found much such stuff. There are still unexploded mines, you could find shells lying around."

Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani and Vishnuvardhan recently launched the movie’s trailer in Kargil and it was launched on Vijay Diwas on Monday, July 26.

Masturbation or self-pleasuring involves touching and rubbing parts of your body for sexual pleasure.

Whether you masturbate or not is up to you and only you.
If you do, doing so will not harm you physically. And if you don’t masturbate, there’s no harm in that either.
But did you know masturbation can also help your mental health?Β
While masturbation alone can’t treat depression or anxiety, it can relieve some symptoms, such as stress and insomnia.Β
So is it all fun and games? Not exactly. Here are some points every manβ€”regardless of whether he masturbates or notβ€”should be aware of.
Health Benefits Of MasturbationΒ Masturbation can fulfil your sexual needs with or without a partner still it cannot be the only item on your mental health treatment plan. It can’t cure all but here’s what it can do for you.
How masturbation affects your brainMasturbation helps your body release a number of feel-good hormonesβ€”dopamine, endorphins, oxytocin, testosterone, prolactin.
Research indicates that it also affects the prefrontal cortex of your brain.
Dopamine, endorphins and oxytocin are known as β€œhappy hormones” associated with stress reduction, relaxation and closeness.Β
Testosterone is released during *** and when you have sexual fantasies to improve stamina and arousal.
Prolactin is known to influence mood and the immune system. So masturbating can help you feel better when you’re in a bad mood.Β
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1838__
How it improves focusHave you heard of post-nut clarity? It’s a situation where your brain suddenly feels focused after getting an orgasm.Β
There’s no scientific explanation for this as yet but some people believe that masturbating helps them concentrate better.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1900__
How masturbation helps alleviate stress and anxietySome people enjoy the stress-fighting properties of masturbation. The release of oxytocin aka love hormone helps manage anxiety, as a 2005 study points out.
It does so by reducing blood pressure and lowering your cortisol levels, a hormone associated with stress.Β
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1538__
Can masturbation help you fall asleep? Many people choose to masturbate to fall asleep because oxytocin and endorphin release helps them relax.Β
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1209__
Can it boost your self-esteem?Masturbation is a great way to get to know your body better and appreciate it. As you’re learning to enjoy your own body, it can also be a way of practising self-love and boost your self-esteem.Β
Will masturbating improve your *** life?A boost of self-esteem coupled with relaxation can be great for your *** life. Evidence suggests that masturbating can help you maintain a healthy *** drive.
A 2001 study links masturbation-induced orgasm to elevated levels of testosterone in males.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1344__
Side Effects Of MasturbationWhile masturbation benefits are proven, some people have had negative experiences. It’s important to remember that masturbating is a choice. It’s okay to dislike the feeling.
Some People Consider It A Sin… due to religious and spiritual reasons, which makes it a highly unsatisfying act. Some religions are against masturbation and consider it immoral.
Masturbating with such beliefs can lead to feelings of guilt, shame, anxiety or a self-loathing attitude. This is why it’s totally okay to abstain from masturbation.Β
If you want to address or overcome these feelings, talking to a therapist might help.
Underlying health conditions may cause problemsMasturbation can be a frustrating process for people experiencing:
Erectile dysfunctionLow libidoPremature ejaculationPost-orgasmic illness syndrome (POIS), a less-popular condition where individuals who have a ***** can become ill after ejaculating.Masturbating might be difficult for those who have experienced sexual traumaβ€”men or women. In such cases, it is recommended that you consult a doctor.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2186__
It Might Lead To AddictionSome people can develop an addiction to masturbation. It might become a problem if masturbation causes you to:Β
Skip your choresCancel plans with friends and familyMiss work, school or any other important eventIf you feel you’re moving in this direction, direct your thoughts to another activity. Next time have an uncontrollable urge to masturbate, try:
    Going for a walk or a runWriting a journalTalking to a friend__ECOMPRODUCT__2187__
Prostate cancerMasturbation saves you or puts you at risk of prostate cancerβ€”the results are mixed on this one.
A 2003 study demonstrated that men who ejaculated more than 5 times a week in their 20s were 1/3rd less likely to develop aggressive prostate cancer than those who ejaculated less often.Β Β
But, in a 2008 study, researchers found that men who were involved in frequent sexual activities or masturbated regularly in their 20s and 30s were at a higher risk of prostate cancer.Β Β
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2188__
Masturbation MythsA lot of claims about masturbation are not science-backed. Masturbation will not cause:
BlindnessHairy palmsErectile dysfunctionPremature ejaculationLow sperm countImpotence later in lifePenis shrinkageMental illnessPhysical weaknessInfertilityLow testosterone__ECOMPRODUCT__2189__
FAQsWhat happens if you masturbate too much?Frequent masturbation may cause skin irritation but other than that it’s not harmfulβ€”physically or emotionally. Use a lubricant while masturbating to avoid any type of skin issue. A lube will only improve your experience.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2190__
Does ejaculating make you weaker? Not really. Testosterone levels fluctuate immediately after an orgasm but it’s a temporary change and unlikely to affect your physical fitness.Β
Does masturbating reduce testosterone?Masturbation doesn’t have any lasting effect on testosterone levels.Β
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1026__
Is sperm good for acne?Spermine, an organic compound found in semen, contains antioxidants and is anti-inflammatory. This is why many people believe it can treat acne. But there’s no scientific evidence that supports the claim.Β
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2191__
What happens if a man releases sperm daily?Ejaculating daily does more good than bad. In fact, when a man ejaculates, 8 body partsβ€”testes, *****, vas deferens, prostate gland, epididymis, seminal vesicle and urethraβ€”work together.
In some cases, your body gets rid of old semen to accommodate the new semen. This is called nightfall.
In the end, it all comes down to what you’re comfortable with.

Despite losing several key players, the depleted Indian squad led by Shikhar Dhawan fought hard but couldn’t get the better of Sri Lanka, who kept themselves alive in the series with a close four-wicket win in the second T20I.
Though India lost the match, the players, especially the Indian bowlers, won many hearts because of the way they fought and made Sri Lankan batters toil hard for each and every run.Β
That said, not every player had a great day in the office and Sanju Samson was among them.
    Β© Twitter
Being a wicketkeeper-batsman, Samson was expected to deliver with the bat as well as make useful contributions behind the stumps but he had a day to forget. He not only failed with the bat but also made terrible fielding mistakes, which included a misfield in the final over and a poor judgement regarding DRS.

The Rajasthan Royals skipper has a lot of promise but he has never been able to cash on to whatever opportunities he has got with the Indian team and this trend continued on Thursday as well.
    Β© BCCI
Coming into bat at two down, the Kerala batsman struggled against Sri Lanka’s quality spin-bowling and was cleaned up by Akila Dananjaya. He could only score seven runs off 13 balls that he faced and his strike rate was the worst among all Indian batters who came out to bat.

After disappointing with the bat, Samson had the chance to make amends in the field but he perhaps couldn’t recover from his dismal batting performance and it affected his wicket-keeping.
    Β© Twitter IPL
In the eighth over of the innings, chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav deceived the Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanka and wrapped him on his pads and was pretty confident that it was out but the umpire didn’t raise his finger.

Kuldeep wanted Dhawan to go for the review but Samson wasn’t as confident and in the end, they decided not to send it upstairs, denying India a clear wicket-taking opportunity. Thankfully for India, Shanaka couldn’t make most of the chance and departed cheaply that too to Kuldeep.
    Β© Instagarm Sanju Samson
Samson’s misery didn’t end there as he conceded a cheap bye, gifting Sri Lanka an easy single in the final over of the innings which left young fast bowler Chetan Sakariya and billions of Indian fans frustrated. Sri Lanka got over the finish line with two balls to spare and unhappy fans took to social media to blame Samson for India’s loss.

Replacing a legend like MS Dhoni, who has set the bar so high, is not an uphill task for any wicket-keeper but Samson has clearly not helped his cause, with youngsters like Rishabh Pant and Ishan Kishan leading the pack.

When it comes to horror movies, India has a lot to accomplish, even in 2021.Β While critics and the audience keep wondering why we still can't make good horror,Β the answer probably lies in the fact that filmmakers tend to get swayed in tropes, even if they somehow manage to push the envelope a bit.

    via GIPHY
However, intent matters. Whatever we have today, it's because our predecessors tried their best when they could, with the limited technology that was available back in the day. A movie that was released 40 years ago, in 1981, is the testament to that.

    via GIPHYΒ
Gehrayee, directed by Vikas Desai and Aruna Raje, released in 1981, and boasted of a solid, talented cast that included Padmini Kolhapure, Sriram Lagoo, Anant Nag, Rita Bhaduri, and Amrish Puri. While it wasn't talked about much when it comes to stereotypical horror because of the lackluster treatment, it did take its fair share of risks, and dared to show a few things on screen that were considered outright taboo back in the day.

    via GIPHY
Here are 5 taboo elements that Gehrayee explored 40 years ago, and unknowingly paved the way for subsequent filmmakers.
    1. There is a scene in the movie where a minor Padmini Kolhapure gets back from school, and is visibly distressed. She then starts talking to her entire family, comprising her mother, father, and elder brother, using language that's filthy by all measures even today. The sheer guts it must have taken to shoot that scene for a mainstream movie in an extremely conservative setting like India in the '80s, is laudable.

    2. Padmini Kolhapure's character Uma is suffering from a mysterious disease. She's 'not herself', her grades in school are suffering despite her being a very bright student, and she complains of headaches and eye pain. There is one scene in the movie, where the entire family is sitting and talking at night. Finally, Nandish, Uma's elder brother, gets up to go to bed, and something takes over the minor Uma. She almost physically assaults her brother in a bid to seduce him, while feverishly saying that her body is thirsty for him, while their parents are sitting right across them. The suddenness and incestuous foulness involved with the scene, makes it essentially taboo.

    3. While the family is at their wit's end while trying to find a cure for Uma, multiple quacks and 'babas' take advantage of them. Amrish Puri is one of them, and after seeing Uma, he directly asks her mother about whether Uma is a virgin or not.

    4. While nudity back in the day was absolutely a taboo topic in mainstream movies, this movie dared to include a scene where a completely naked Padmini Kolhapure is sitting in front of a fire, in trance, as the evil 'maantrik' Amrish Puri is trying to use her virginity to summon higher powers.

    5. The movie also explored the theme of a demon talking through a host, as well as voodoo dolls before it was popularised in movies that came out way later, but one more thing that it accomplished was an open ending. The ending is not a stereotypical ending, and even the words 'The End' on screen is followed by a question mark.

While Gehrayee, by no means, is a masterpiece or can even be called 'scary' because of the extremely 'rough around the edges' treatment that was possible with the technology available 4 decades ago, it definitely is not guilty of lack of intent. If the makers had today's technology and equipment at their disposal, along with more finesse and better background score, it could definitely have been made into a pathbreaking horror movie.

Ahead of the T20 World Cup, the Indian management hoped that the Sri Lanka series would provide them with a clear picture about who should be picked and be in the final squad for the mega event, but the tour, so far, has done everything but that.
The selectors picked a total of six spinners in the squad, hoping that by the end of the series they would know which spinner deserved to be included in the squad, alongside the usual suspects like Yuzvendra Chahal and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.

However, the way this series has gone by, so far, the issue appears to be far from over as Rahul Chahar, Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy have all performed at some stage or the other, giving the selectors a serious selection headache.

Veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh believes that his fellow Kolkata Knight Riders teammate Varun Chakravarthy is a complete β€œT20 World Cup material” as he has all the qualities and is capable of bowling at any stage of the game.

"I feel that is T20 World Cup material because he has all types of qualities. He can take wickets, stop runs, bowl in the Powerplay and can even bowl in the death overs. His only shortcoming is that he remains way too nervous. I spent some time with him in KKR. He himself doesn't know what he is capable of," Harbhajan told Sports Tak.
Harbhajan was left mighty impressed by Chakravarthy when he saw him for the first time during Chennai Super Kings net session.Β
Recalling his first encounter, Harbhajan said what impressed him the most was the fact that MS Dhoni was in complete song and was smashing other bowlers to all parts of the ground but struggled terribly against Chakravarthy and even got out to him several times.

"The first time I had seen him was during a net session with Chennai Super Kings. MS Dhoni was hitting the rest of the fast bowlers and spinners for sixes but when Chakravarthy was bowling, he had Dhoni in all sorts of trouble and dismissed him several times. And no one was able to hit him in the nets. That's when I had predicted that this guy is going to play for India. He has a bit of nervous energy but the more he plays, the better he is going to get," said Harbhajan, who is India’s most successful off-spinner.

"Give him some time and I still believe that if India have to do well at the T20 World Cup, the spinners have to do well. Varun Chakravarthy should be a must for India. He has everything you need in a spinner. If he needs to bring about an improvement, he should focus more on what he needs to do on the field. With time, he is going to get better and take lots of wickets for India," he further added.
