The TWS earbuds market is already a crowded one that is dominated by Apple and cheaper alternatives at the moment. However, there’s always something lacking in existing products, whether it be the lack of Active Noise Cancellation or a good sound profile. Nothing’s ear (1), however, strikes the right balance while offering everything you need from TWS earbuds in 2021. Do you want ANC? The ear (1) has it, sweat and water resistance? The ear (1) has it, a wireless charging case? The ear (1) has that too. On paper, the ear (1) matches up to the AirPods Pro for a fraction of its price. But how does it fare in real-life usage? Let’s find out.
Design The Nothing ear (1) uses a transparent shell that you have previously seen on handheld gaming consoles such as the Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance. I’ve always been a fan of transparent shells which allow me to see the innards of a device and I love it on the ear (1) as well. The same is translated over to the earbuds’ stem, giving it a unique style that one can easily spot from afar.

Having said that, both the earbuds and the charging case aren’t fully transparent. The charging case for example does not show off the main PCB under the hood and only lets you look into the actual earbuds themselves. The case remains the same with the earbuds as well where we don’t really get to see the main drivers as they aren’t covered with transparent plastic. That’s just my personal preference though and I still like the overall design. It’s classy and strikes the right balance with its overboard design and keeping it simple. The Nothing ear (1) definitely appeases the tech otaku in me and I’m sure it will do it for many others.

However, I do have to say that the main earbud design takes a lot of influences from the AirPods Pro and improves them as well. For starters, I prefer the flatter stem as it is much more intuitive to do gestures. I’m not really a big fan of squeezing the stem for gestures as it feels awkward to do so. However, on the ear (1), you can simply tap on the stem or slide up and down to control music and voice calls.

The minimalistic design is also carried forward for visual cues on the earbuds as instead of marking them with “L” or “R” channels, Nothing has opted to use colours. The red dot stands for the ‘Right’ earbuds while the white dot denotes the ‘Left’ earbuds.

Each earbud weighs around 4.7g which makes them very comfortable to use. They sit well in the ear canal without causing any irritation over a long period of time. The ear (1) also comes with three silicone tips of different sizes so that you can get the best fit. It is essential you use the correct size for the best active noise cancellation experience.
    © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
The charging case is made out of exceptionally high-grade plastic that Nothing says will not turn yellow as quickly due to photo and thermal degradation. The main cover of the charging case is held by a metallic hinge that opens and closes like a clamshell. I do have to say though that the charging case is extremely prone to scratching. Since it’s transparent, scratches will be more prevalent and if you plan on keeping it pristine, I advise using it with utmost care.

Sound Performance The Nothing ear (1)’s sound performance and quality are quite astonishing the moment you start using them. In fact, they are so good that I was taken aback the first time I heard music on the TWS earbuds. In my opinion, the ear (1)’s sound quality is better than what I have on the AirPods Pro. The low-end frequencies are particularly crisp here as not only can you feel the bass, you also notice highlights. The bass highlights on the Nothing ear (1) are crisp, controlled and don't go overboard like other TWS earbuds.
Society by Mystic State is a sub-bass heavy track that I usually listen to for testing earbuds. The bass pumped from the 11.6mm drivers didn’t sound as if they were being boosted virtually. Many cheap TWS earbuds tend to do that to fool users, however that is not the case here. You will instantly feel every drum kick, deep pads and sub-bass. While it may not match wired earphones with multiple dedicated drivers, the Nothing ear (1) does the job extremely well for a TWS earbud.
    © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
To test out the mid and high frequencies on the ear (1), I listened to Jason by The Midnight and to my surprise, the earbuds handled the song extremely well as well. Treble notes don’t feel exaggerated and midrange frequencies are balanced enough that you can hear vocals without it being too muddled.

I do have to point out that this performance is based on the ‘Balanced’ audio profile you can set from the companion app. However, there are two other modes i.e. ‘More Treble’ and ‘More Bass’. I found the tuning of both these modes to be ultra-aggressive and suggest not to use any of the two modes. When using the ‘More Treble’ mode, most songs sounded as if I'd put on a high pass filter effect on them, essentially cutting off most of the lower frequencies. The case remains the same with the ‘More Bass’ profile where the app cuts off most of the mid and high frequencies making every track sound very flat.
Active Noise Cancellation The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) on the ear (1) is quite effective and tends to isolate most frequencies between 100-500Hz. In my experience, I was able to isolate background noise from a loud TV, three loud dogs and street traffic with ease. Of course, the noise cancellation isn’t at par with headphones such as the AirPods Max and the Sony WF-1000XM3 but it’s still at par with the AirPods Pro if not better.
    © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
You can also adjust the level of noise cancellation from the companion app to your liking. Some people like to keep the noise cancellation effect mild so that they are aware of their surroundings while walking down the street. The ear (1) also has a Transparency mode which you can toggle by Tap holding either of the earbuds. You can also activate noise cancellation using the same method.

Gestures and Companion AppI’ve already mentioned before that I found the gesture controls on the ear (1) very intuitive and that’s because they are fairly simple. You can double tap either of the stems to play/pause music, triple tap to play the next or previous track. In fact, you can customise which earbuds you want to set as the previous or next song to your liking.
If you want to increase or decrease the volume you can swipe up or down on either of the earbuds. This essentially removes the need to look for your smartphone every time you want to adjust the volume.
    © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
The companion app also offers other features that you can customise to your liking. When going into the settings, you can customise the charging case lighting. You can set it in different colours to different levels of the battery. You can also set colour cues when you put the case for charging, for example, green for charging and white for fully charged.

    © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
Find My Earbud is yet another valuable feature you can use from the app in case you misplace your earbuds. When enabling the feature, the earbuds play a sharp chime noise that is quite loud. This will help you locate your earbuds if you are in the vicinity. It’s quite a handy feature to have especially if you tend to forget where you kept the earbuds.

Battery Life The Nothing ear (1) can last about 4-5 hours on a single charge and can be extended up to 34 hours depending on how you use them. With ANC turned on, my review unit lasted about 4.5 hours and got an additional 22 hours with the charging case.
    © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
The charging case also supports fast-charging via the USB-C port where, in 10 minutes, you can get up to 7-8 hours of listening time. You can also charge the charging case with any Qi-wireless charger.

How is it for Calls The ear (1) does a wonderful job at handling calls, thanks to its three microphones. For starters, it effectively isolates most background noises which lets the person on the other end of the call hear you clearly. There’s also a voice mode that you can use for calls that dramatically improves your voice quality and helps in conserving battery life.
Having said that, I do have to point out that the person on the other end of the call did point out that my voice sounded a bit high pitched. I’m not sure what’s happening here but I’m guessing it will be fixed in a future update.
The Final Say The Nothing ear (1) delivers everything the AirPods Pro can and in some departments, it’s even better. These TWS earbuds cost only Rs 5,999 in India, even though I feel it should ideally cost a lot more. With great sound, a unique design and premium features, it’s a no-brainer that the ear (1) may just be the best TWS earbuds right now.

People on the internet sometimes go crazy with food recipes. Remember when there were thousands of Maggi recipes, and one of them was pani puri Maggi? I mean, even the name sounds bizarre, let alone the taste of the newfangled dish.
    © Twitter/Liveabout
But some dishes should not be messed in the name of being experimental.

So, since weird combinations are winning the internet or, at least, getting traction, a new recipe has come up from across the borders, and this time, it's with the beloved Biryani.

A roadside foodseller from Karachi, Pakistan, well-known for making a strange combination of Biryani,  is selling 'Chocolate Biryani'.

In the viral video, we can see the plate filled with delicious Chicken Biryani, but when the seller pours chocolate sauce all, it was nothing less than an assault on the eyes.
On the other hand, the reporter seems to be enjoying the dish and can be heard saying, 'Kuch bhi nahi khaaya aapne, agar ye nahi khaaya toh.' Really?
Take a look at the video here:

As soon as the video went viral, people couldn't hold themselves back seeing the irreverence towards Biryani. Many called it 'Tatti' while others said 'Keede Padenge Tuje'

Not just on the video, but people on Twitter are also disgusted after seeing it. Check out some reactions here.

Aditya Roy Kapur has replaced Sidharth Malhotra in the Hindi remake of the popular Tamil film Thadam. The film will be helmed by debutant director Vardhan Ketkar. Based on true events, the yet-to-be-titled thriller will see Kapur in a double role for the first time.
Aditya is excited to work on this challenging role and said in a statement, "I am inspired and excited to be part of telling such an interesting story. The original film was incredibly riveting and entertaining, and it left a lasting impression on me. As an actor, getting a chance to do a double role is double the preparation and double the challenge, and I’m certainly up for it! I look forward to collaborating with Bhushanji, Murad Bhai, and Vardhan to bring this exciting thriller to the screen soon."

Netflix India has recently received a complaint against Anurag Kashyap’s short film Ghost Stories. This is one of the first examples of grievances to be registered after the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting formulated the Information Technology (Guidelines for Intermediaries and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021.

According to a Mid-Day report, the complainant has raised objections to a scene showcasing Sobhita Dhulipala's character, in which it shows that Sobhita Dhulipala's character eats a foetus after suffering a miscarriage.

The complaint notes go as, “The scene is not required for the story, and if the creators wished to add such a scene, there should have been a trigger warning for women who have gone through the trauma of miscarriages.”
Also, according to the reports, complaints should be registered within 24 hours and addressed at the earliest.

A Netflix India spokesperson said, "As this was a partner-managed production [RSVP Movies and Flying Unicorn Entertainment], we reached out to the production company to share the complaint.”
Before the new rules, digital news media was extremely unregulated. "So it has started... A complaint came to Netflix on Ghost Stories. This is the end," Anurag wrote in an Instagram Story.
Ghost Stories is an anthology film that features shorts from directors Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Karan Johar, and was released on January 1, 2020.

Ever since making his debut as the head coach of the Indian cricket team in Sri Lanka, Rahul Dravid is being closely observed by his fans for all the movement that he does, running between the dressing room and the dug-out, how he behaves after something significant happens in the match, and most importantly, how he sends across his message to the players on the field, through the 12th man.
    pic.twitter.com/uqeymuGhYZ
    — Maqbool (@im_maqbool) July 25, 2021
During the second of three T20Is between India and Sri Lanka, a similar moment took place at the end of the 18th over while the hosting squad was in the middle of chasing down India’s subpar 133-run total.
The rain had interrupted the match for a brief stint as the Sri Lankan scoreboard read 113/6. The umpires had taken off the bails with groundsmen sprinting with covers to protect the pitch. This is when the coach wrote something on a piece of paper and asked the 12th man, Sandeep Warrier to deliver it to the skipper in a hurry.
    © Twitter - Sports Tiger
What Did Rahul Dravid’s Secret Chit Say?Reports suggest that the information of the chit was related to the infamous Duckworth-Lewis rule that is followed in international cricket, that decides issues such as the changes in the number of overs to be played or even the winner of the match, in case it gets disrupted due to irreversible circumstances, such as heavy rain.
At the moment when the game came to a halt, Sri Lanka were three runs short of the target according to the DLS rule, which means that if the match were to be abandoned at that very time, the Indian squad would have won it, and as a result, won the entire series as well.
    View this post on Instagram
Thankfully, the rain didn’t last long and the match resumed without any changes in the number of overs to be bowled. Sri Lanka ended up winning the match by four wickets and two balls to spare, therefore tying the series at 1-1. With no gap days between the second and third T20Is, both squads will not try their best to win the final match in order to bag the series.
The B-string of the Indian cricket team is expected to fly back home on July 30 (Friday). However, COVID-19 positive Krunal Pandya will not be making the journey back home with his teammates and will only be allowed to leave his hotel room once he is tested negative.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi now has over 70 million followers on Twitter and is now amongst the most followed world leaders. PM Modi now has even more followers than Pope Francis who currently has 53 million followers.
    © MensXP
Modi joined Twitter in 2009 while he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Since then he has seen massive growth in his social media outreach. Last year, PM Modi’s Twitter account had 60 million followers and has now seen an uptick of 10 million additional followers.

To put things into perspective, PM Modi currently has more followers than Rahul Gandhi who currently has 19.4 million followers. Union Minister Amit Shah currently has 26.3 million followers on the social media platform.
PM Modi is fairly active on Twitter as he regularly posts updates on policies, International meets and on social issues. As recently as today, Prime Minister Modi posted a Tweet about conserving India’s tiger population on International Tiger Day. “India’s strategy of tiger conservation attaches topmost importance to involving local communities. We are also inspired by our centuries-old ethos of living in harmony with all flora and fauna with whom we share our great planet,” the PM wrote.
    © Twitter/Narendra-Modi
While PM Modi definitely is amongst the top followed leaders, his administration has been in a tussle with the micro-blogging website after new rules and guidelines came into effect for social media platforms and digital news platforms. Due to the tussle, many Government officials, departments and ministers have now started to move their messaging to the Indian-developed app Koo.

“The most high-profile example has been India’s new IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Taking office this month, he opened a new Koo account and soon after announced a review of social media firms’ compliance with strict new rules - information not posted to his 258,000 Twitter followers,” said Reuters in a recent report. It is worth pointing out that PM Modi has not yet joined Koo.
Global Leader Follower Count PM Modi still has a long way to go in order to catch up in terms of follower count on Twitter. Former United States President Barack Obama has a following of 129.8 million followers. Donald Trump had 88.7 million followers before he got banned from the platform following the riots at the US Capitol.

It's often said that love can be hard. But if you live in India, there is a whole new meaning to it.
    © Istock
I mean, there are levels to it, so much so, that if you've succeeded in sustaining a romantic relationship amid nosy uncle-aunties, relatives, and this big dark cloud called 'society' hovering over your head 24/7, then you can pretty much handle anything. Well, almost.

    © Istock
In a land, where dating is looked down upon, kissing in public is apparently a sin, and everything around *** a big taboo, two people in love are bound to have some difficulties. Well, here are some such scary scenarios that every young Indian couple has to go through almost every day.

    1. The Haunting Ring Of The Doorbell During *** © MX Player
With Hotel rooms so costly, Airbnbs and OYOs sometimes being too shady, not to mention that it is really not the most economical for everyone, there comes a time, when a couple decides to finally risk it and do it at home.

I mean, that window when your parents and siblings won't be back home for a few hours is a perfect opportunity to actually make love, until, their plans suddenly change and you hear the haunting sound of a doorbell ring in your ears.
This is the moment your souls leave your body and your mind becomes absolutely numb. It is one of the scariest scenarios that many have faced in their lifetime, especially when there is just one main door and no escape windows. They won't come in handy if say, you're on the 10th floor anyway. Even if there is a quick-get-away in sight, it is a really slippery rope for which one needs nerves of steel.
    2. Getting Caught While Making Out In The Car © Prime Video
We really feel you. It's been such a long time and you've missed each other. We get that. But unfortunately, the legal system in India doesn't and their flagbearers, the Indian Police definitely don't.

This can be one of the most awkward encounters one can have in a lifetime, let alone the feeling of absolute shame and disrespect that you are bound to be left with after it. All those 'Aapke Parents Ko Pata Hai Kya Kar Rahe Ho?', 'Yeh Ashleel Harkate Kaise Karte Ho?' 'Lagta Hai Gaadi Impound Karni Padegi' statements from a rowdy police official can certainly leave you with no option but to pay them whatever you have in your pockets.
Like you, I really wish things could be better.
    3. Society Ki Aunty Seeing You With Your Lover © Netflix
Our elderly often say, 'Bhagwaan Sarvatra Hai!' (God Is Everywhere) Well, then are our mohalle-wala aunties God? Because for f***'s sake, they're really everywhere.

Be it at the mall, the cinema hall, the park, or your sabse badi galti (visiting a) market, the ultimate gossipy, judgmental-eyed aunty will be there to spot you out in a crowd of hundreds. The Autobots and Decepticons should borrow the same targeting technology.
Bas, fir kya? Get ready to take out an old excuse from that bag of explanations to explain to your mom why you were out with a guy/girl.
    4. 'Papa Ko Pata Chal Gaya Toh?' © Prime Video
Most young guys in a relationship have at least heard this once from their girlfriends. We know that if the girl or even the boy's Papa finds out their child is indulging in, in society's words, ladkibaazi or ladkabaazi, then it is, really game over.

No more mobile phones, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp or even going out without supervision in many cases. Yeah, it really is that bad. Bas IIT, Medical, CA ki Taiyaari karo in most cases, and usey bhool jao!
    5. Relatives Stalking Your Social Media Accounts © Netflix
In this age of social media, technology, and Chinese whispers, it really is one of the biggest challenges to hide things about yourself from people. This is especially true if you have nosy relatives who stop at nothing to dig photos, posts, or possibly anything to know about you.

I mean, people are forced to make two different accounts, with one being strictly about posting family/relative-friendly stuff. Fortunately, Instagram, to an extent, knows you too well (Not a good thing), and lets you keep things private with private profiles and even private stories.
    6. Bhai! Society Aur Kaun? © Netflix
Remember the Jab We Met scene when Kareena Kapoor is counseled by the Station Master when she is alone at the railway station? Be it uncle or aunty, watchman or the parking ticket guy, everyone has an opinion about how you should live your life.

'Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai?', 'Aap Bhai-Behen Ho?', 'Beta! Yeh Sahi Nahi Hai', and 'Mai Jab Aap Ki Age Ka Tha', are things that we all are accustomed to hearing from almost everyone in our lives.
But unfortunately, one doesn't really know how to react to when a stranger suddenly pops and stars morally lecturing you. Now, while it may be easier to handle it when you're a bit older, think of the young teenagers. It's really easy to get intimidated by the sudden moral policing by middle-aged men, something that tends to happen a lot.
    7. Awkward Trips To A Chemist Shop © Istock
While some chemists tend to really mind their business and act decently, men still glare at you with their judgmental looks if you ask for a condom, contraceptive pill, or a pregnancy test kit. One can totally understand if a girl actually asks you to get it, because, log nahi sudhrenge.

    8. The Nervous Walk Of Shame Post Curfew Timings © Prime Video
"Itna Time Lagta Hai Restuarant Me?", "Jaate Ho Ek Baar Toh Ghar Hi Nahi Aatein Ho", "Har Roz Hi Jaate Ho", "Roz 9 Baje Aane Ka Kya Matlab Hai?" I think these pretty much sum up the top questions that almost every young girl in an Indian household is asked by parents on turning up a few minutes after the actual curfew time.

Remember the time you failed to understand that she was actually getting late? Well, this is exactly the routine for her. She's pretty much fretting at the chance of reaching 2 minutes later than 7 PM because that'll mean it would be even more difficult for her to step out the next time.
That's clearly not good for anyone's mental health. Unfortunately, there will never be an end to such moments unless society, in general, learns to deal with things, the chances of which are really slim.

Aditya Udit Narayan is one of the most talented singers in the music industry.

For the unversed, Aditya started his journey as a child artist in movies and also sang the famous song Chhota Baccha Jaan Ke from the movie, Masoom.
Apart from being a singer, he is also an actor and has hosted several TV shows.

He quoted in the interview saying, "I felt that it was the right time to make the announcement because I already have 4 projects lined up. So I just wanted to inform the show makers that I won't be able to accept more hosting offers henceforth. It also pains me to reject these offers since I get offered hefty money as compared to earlier ones. When I first set my foot in the world of television by hosting Sa Re Ga Ma Pa at the age of 18, I was being paid Rs 7,500 per episode. It used to be a huge amount for me at that time. So, now when they come to me and offer in crores, it pains me to say no to them."

He further said that the TV industry has given him everything from fame to house to money, but music will always be his first love.

However, the singer feels that he hardly makes music now. On this, he added, "I am 33-years-old now and by the grace of God now I have enough resources of my own that I don't need to rely on music labels or their rubbish contracts that will force me to become their slave for 8 years or so on,"

Over the last month, one of the biggest reasons why the Sri Lankan cricket team has managed to give somewhat of a challenge to Shikhar Dhawan and his Men in Blue has a lot to do with all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga playing at a high level.
And while he couldn’t leave a significant mark with his bowling during the second T20I at the R. Premadasa Stadium, the two boundaries that he hit in the game-changing moments helped the Lions tie the series at 1-1 and gave them hope of sneaking another victory to win the series on Thursday.
    Slick from Hasaranga

Taking notes from MS Dhoni's , is he?

However, in the first innings of the match with the Indian batsmen on strike and Hasaranga on the bowling end, the Sri Lankan decided to steal of the many uncanny and creative moves from the bag of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
In the 19th over, he tried to take Nitish Rana’s wicket on a surprise run-out when he blindly threw the ball towards the stumps as soon as he collected it. To give Hasaranga credit, the ball did connect with the stumps, ripping apart the bails. However, it took a little too much time and Rana had successfully crossed the crease to remain safe by the time.

When MS Dhoni Did It OriginallyIt was the fourth ODI of the India-New Zealand series in 2016 at Ranchi when Dhoni tried and succeeded at dismissing Ross Taylor with a brilliant, blinded run-out in the 46th over being bowled by Umesh Yadav.
Dhawal Kulkarni was the fielder who collected the ball and toss it to the wicket-keeper at his chest level. Dhoni knew that it would be too late if he turned around and tried stumping the wicket. So, he simply flung it where he thought the stumps would be and the timber was dislodged before Taylor could slide his bat to safety.

The only difference is that while Dhoni was unable to lead this side to a win on that day in 2016, Hasaranga’s side managed to take the match away from the Indian squad and tie the series at 1-1. With no gap day between the second and third T20Is, both sides will enter the field with the hopes of winning the final game and win the series as well.

Saikhom Mirabai Chanu has become the first Indian to score a medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 and as of the morning of July 29, remains the only athlete to do so. And while her achievement at the quadrennial tournament was celebrated in a grand fashion as she came back to India, the pictures from her time at the actual house have gone viral ever since.
She was clicked at her humble abode in Manipur, enjoying a plate of rice and some vegetables, as she sat on a cemented floor, in a tiny room with unpainted walls, wooden shelves that are barely staying upright, and no chairs in sight.

The weightlifter is known for commanding exceptional strength ever since she was a child. At the age of 12, she would carry a massive bundle of firewood back home while her older brother would struggle to even pick it up.

She has seen a lot of failures in her life. Her Rio Olympics 2016 journey was an absolute disaster after she was unable to complete her lift three times in a row and was therefore knocked out of the tournament by default.
However, her breakthrough had come two years before Rio and at the Commonwealth Games at Glasgow, when she won the silver medal in the 48kg weight category. It would be four years since that moment that she would finally be able to turn that Commonwealth silver into gold, this time at Gold Coast, 2018 when she lifted an impressive 196 kg, 86 kg in Snatch and 110 kg in Clean and Jerk.
Never to eat a single slice of pizza her entire life, Mirabai finally achieved that dream as well when she came back after winning the Olympics silver and met with the former Sports Minister and the current Law minister of the country, Kiren Rijiju.
    Most satisfying moment!

Indian cricketers are the most highly-paid athletes in the country and a majority of their income comes from endorsing various brands. Given their huge fan-following on social media, the cricketers charge a hefty fee for promoting any brand on social media.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli is the most popular Indian celebrity on Instagram and his promotional posts fetch him in excess of Rs 5 crore.
Leveraging your social media reach to make money is completely fine but only when done in the right manner and it seems like Kohli forgot to do just that recently, and was trolled heavily on social media.

Sports enthusiasts around the world are completely engrossed in the Tokyo Olympics right now and the situation is no different in India.

As athletes are competing for medals, brands are also doing everything to make most of the attention around the event.
Taking to Instagram, Kohli shared a post highlighting the fact that around 10 per cent of Indian athletes who are representing the country at Tokyo 2020 have graduated from Punjab-based Lovely Professional University.

“What a record 10% of Indian Olympians are from Lovely Professional University. I hope LPU will send students to the Indian cricket also!” read Kohli’s post on Instagram.
Kohli, through his post, also sent his best wishes to the Indian Olympians including the men’s hockey team captain Manpreet Singh, javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, wrestler Bajrang Punia, among others.
“India needs 10 more LPUs. Best of luck to the 11 LPU students who are representing India at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Truly a great achievement!,” Kohli wrote on Instagram.

Kohli’s post may have earned him an exorbitant amount of money but it also made him a laughing stock on social media, with many fans finding it difficult to believe what they saw.

A user commented that initially, he thought his account was hacked, while another user asked Kohli if he had forgotten to put the ‘sponsored post’ tag.
Some users even felt that by crediting the university for athletes’ success, Kohli was actually ignoring the years of hard work done by our athletes to realise their dream of becoming an Olympian.

A lot of fans saw the post as a clear attempt of tricking users into believing that those were actually Kohli’s words and he was in complete awe of the university for being home to such world-class athletes, whereas in reality, somebody else had written those words and Kohli just posted it in exchange for a large sum of money.

The Sri Lankan cricket team was successful in bringing the T20I series against India to an interesting turn after winning the second of three matches in the final over and tying the series. Wrapping up a very inexperienced Indian side for just 133 runs, the Lions scored the winning runs with four wickets and two balls to spare.
However, one of the biggest moments of the game, which resonated with the fans from both sides of the clash came at the final ball of the 15th over when spinner Rahul Chahar scalped Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga’s wicket off a catch by Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Wanindu Hasaranga upholds the Spirit of the Game!

Tune into Sony Six (ENG), Sony Ten 1 (ENG), Sony Ten 3 (HIN), Sony Ten 4 (TAM, TEL) & SonyLIV (https://t.co/QYC4z57UgI) now! #SLvINDOnlyOnSonyTen #HungerToWin #WaninduHasaranga pic.twitter.com/0CwCaTkkAS
    — Sony Sports (@SonySportsIndia) July 28, 2021 Excited to take the wicket, Chahar went on to send off the batsman with a rather angry celebration, while literally barking at him with rage-filled eyes and staring at him until he left the pitch.
Contrary to Rahul’s heated actions, what Hasaranga did in response, has since led to him gaining a lot of support from the Indian cricket fans, who appreciated him for remaining professional and adhering to the spirit of the game.
Wahindu Hasaranga shows class, he calm and composed. When Rahul Chahar picked his wicket and then he Appreciates his bowling. Brilliant Hasaranga. #INDvSL pic.twitter.com/Hr7vttf2JI
    — Daksh Saini (@ImSaini45) July 28, 2021
Clearly displeased with how Chahar behaved on the field, the batsman managed to keep his calm and applauded the Indian bowler’s achievement before walking off the field. He uttered not a single word in protest and made no gesture that would have insulted the game or his opponent.
Such a matured reaction also made the Indian fans call out their own player, Rahul Chahar, for being overdramatic, and bringing in unnecessary aggression to the field:
Liked the way Hasaranga reacted to Rahul Chahar's theatrics after losing his wicket.#SLvIND
    — امت AMIT CHAUDHARY (@amit_tweet) July 28, 2021Rahul Chahar chhapri reaction.
Good response by Hasaranga, RESPECT! #INDvsSL2021
    — Chinmay Rane (@cvrane) July 28, 2021I love how Hasaranga applauded Rahul Chahar for the delivery he bowled. Get him in @IPL
    — Anshul Kansal (@anshkansal) July 28, 2021It wasn't needed from Rahul. But Hasaranga's reaction was gold. #INDvSL
    — अर्पित जैन (@ArpitJ_) July 28, 2021To be fair, Indian skipper Shikhar Dhawan was presented with the daunting task of trying to win a match with a freshly assembled squad after all-rounder Krunal Pandya was tested positive with the COVID-19 virus on Tuesday.
As a result, 8 members of the team, including the likes of Prithvi Shaw, Devdutta Padikkal, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, who were in close contact with the symptomatic cricketer, were also made to sit out of the game, despite testing negative, as a precautionary measure.
View this post on InstagramSince the second T20I was delayed by a day, the two sides will have no gaps and will play in the third and final match of the series today, on July 29 as scheduled with the fate of the series in question.

In another bizarre episode of 'this happens only in India', an Instagram influencer from Mumbai landed in trouble after faking his own death.

Irfan Khan has over 44,000 followers on Instagram and was arrested by the police for promoting self-harm.  The influencer posted a video of himself where he can be seen sitting on railway tracks in Mumbai after he was rejected by his lover.
The video was edited in a way that showed him to be hit by a train and the video went viral on the internet. However, the video also reached the Bandra police and they then took action against it.

He was charged under Section 505(1) of the Indian Railways Act (publishing or distributing any statement with the intent to incite), as well as Sections 145 (nuisance) and 147 (trespass).

Irfan was also charged with violating the Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 336 (endangering the life of others and oneself) and 188 (disobeying an order).
Later, in an interview, he said, “I made it for entertainment purposes. It was a mistake. People took it the wrong way and thought I was encouraging people to [die by] suicide if a girl rejects them. But actually, this was only part one of a video series I was making. In the second part, I would wake up from my dream and see my parent's faces, and the message was meant to be motivational and tell people not to [die by] suicide.”

Not only this, the 28-year-old also apologized to his followers and later deleted the video as well.
