A job application that was filled out by Steve Jobs in 1973 has been auctioned for $343,000 or Rs 3.5 Crore. The auction set a new record in the process as it is the highest amount the artefact has managed to get in auctions. The physical job application has been to four other auctions but this time around it comfortably beat the previous record of $222,400.

The auction took place online and closed last night. Interestingly enough, the owner of the document was also selling a digital NFT for the job application as well. Jobs filled out the one-page job application by hand when he was 18 years old. He wrote this application three years before he co-founded Apple with Steve Wozniak and tech businessman Ronald Wayne.

While the job application doesn’t specify which position Jobs was considering, it does list “electronics tech” and “design engineer” as special abilities and interests. He also listed other skills such as “computer” and “calculator” for experience.
“The Steve Jobs Job Application from 1973 is a unique piece of history from the exact moment that a dreamer changed the world,” the auction website said. “It’s a snapshot into the mind of a future genius at a moment where any small deviation from the path ahead would have meant a very different world today.”

To generate more interest for the auction, the owner listed an NFT alongside the physical copy of the job application. An NFT is a kind of a certificate that allows a person to take ownership of digital property.

An NFT is a unit of data stored on a blockchain that certifies digital assets to be unique and not interchangeable. NFTs can be used to sell items such as photos, videos, audio files or any other type of audio file. NFTs are tracked on blockchain to provide the buyer proof of ownership. However, this is not the same as owning the copyright. Copies of the digital items are available for anyone to obtain, and access to the original digital file is not restricted to the buyer only.
The owner said that two formats were offered in the auction, “to test the appetite for digital assets in contrast with physical equivalents.”
The NFT version of Jobs' job application sold for $23,076 or around Rs 17 lakh. This showed that most bidders were more interested in the actual physical artefact than the digital version.

Rahul Dravid received a lot of criticism for his team selection for the third ODI against Sri Lanka, where he had made six changes in the Playing XI.
Among those who raised eyebrows was Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar who argued that players were getting India caps rather too easily, without fully deserving it.
Unlike the third ODI where the changes were made after India had already sealed the series, Dravid making wholesale changes in the Playing XI for the second T20 didn’t create any controversy as he was left with no choice.
    Big moment for the 4⃣!

    T20I caps handed over to @devdpd07, @Ruutu1331, @NitishRana_27 & @Sakariya55! #TeamIndia #SLvIND

After Krunal Pandya tested positive for the coronavirus, eight other players were identified as his close contacts and were sent into isolation, thus ruling them out of the series.
With nine players unavailable for selection, India were down to 11 men and the visitors went into the match with just five specialist batsmen and six bowlers.
Despite losing his key players, Dravid didn’t make any excuses and argued that all the players who were picked in the 20-man squad were good enough to feature in the Playing XI.

He even slammed those who had criticised him over his team selection and said that making the Indian squad in a country where so many play the game clearly proves that the players have something special about them.

He also added that selectors didn't send them just to warm the bench and or on a paid holiday and they fully deserved the chance they got.
"After we wrapped up the ODI series, we tried to give a few people a chance. Obviously, circumstances here have forced us to do it here even before we managed to win the series. But I truly believe that if you're selected to play for India – whether it's 15 players or 20 players – you're good enough to play in the XI. I don't really think that the selectors select you in the 15 just to warm the bench or select you for a holiday," Dravid said before the match.

"Certainly, that's not the message I have been given. I look at the squad, the 20 guys who are here, each one of them has got here through sheer weight of performances. It's not easy in India. People earn the right to come here. It's not every time that we're going to give everyone a chance here but it’s really nice to be able to give as many as you can a chance, if possible and due to various reasons we are probably able to do that this time."

"They are earning their India caps. I don't get that argument. What do you mean by earning your India cap? Like I said, if you're selected in a team of 15 – with Covid now it's become 20, you are selected keeping in mind that you may need to play in the 11 at any given point of time. You have certainly earned the right to get that cap. It’s up to you to take the opportunity and perform. I truly believe everyone who is here has earned it," he added.
Sri Lanka win the 2nd #SLvIND T20I by 4 wickets!

    Three-match series levelled at 1-1.

Meanwhile, despite missing some of their key players India gave a tough fight to the hosts and took the game deep but unfortunately, it wasn’t their day and finished on the wrong side of the result.

Sophisticated, rich, and often seen as a spoilt brat back in the 90s, he changed his trajectory and became one of the most fearless actors of Bollywood. Yes, we are talking about Saif Ali Khan and his metamorphosis is something to be appreciated because he is not scared to experiment at all.
In an earlier interview with PTI, he had said that it is important for an actor to experiment to have a long and respectable career. Saif said, “If you’ve been successful at one type of thing, it could be tempting not to change that. But if you look at people who have slightly longer, wider and respected careers, they are the ones who have done different kinds of works.”
We completely agree with Saif here as he has time and again proven that it’s important to experiment as an actor and to be on the edge of tomorrow for a long-term career. Here are seven such characters played by Saif which show how experimental he has been with his choices:
    1. Bhoot Police © Hotstar
If it’s Saif, you can totally trust the fact that he'd go the extra mile for his characters. The first footage from Bhoot Police, the upcoming horror-comedy starring Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Yami Gautam, and Jacqueline Fernandez, was revealed as a part of a slate announcement video shared by Disney+ Hotstar on Tuesday. Saif's look in the trailer left us all intrigued. He managed to look different yet again with his face smeared with ash and a headgear in place. Well, we are certainly excited for the movie after catching a glimpse of his look.

    2. Kaalakaandi View this post on Instagram
In the movie, Saif Ali Khan plays the role of a person who is diagnosed with cancer and has very few days left to live. With only a few days left, his character decides to live life to the fullest and do the craziest things he hadn’t done so far. In one of the sequences, Saif had donned a look that got the audience talking.
In that look, he is seen wearing a white shirt teamed up with a mustard fur coat. The icing on the cake is his hairstyle. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror previously, the actor was quoted saying, "Kaalakaandi with its slightly Maharashtrian twang, talks about the many kaands that go on here, the mix-ups and the snafus. We're currently working on the music and after seeing the film, one of the coolest I've done, I've started loving the city even more. It's the city of hope, of dreams and opportunities for young people struggling to make a name, place, and life for themselves alongside the rich and the famous.”
    3. Laal Kaptaan  View this post on Instagram
His look in Laal Kaptaan as a Naga Sadhu also created ripples as he is seen sporting an intense look with long hair, dramatic kohl-rimmed eyes, and a bandana on the head. As soon as his look was released, people drew comparisons with Jack Sparrow from Pirates Of The Caribbean. In an interview, responding to a question on how his look is similar to Jack Sparrow from the Hollywood film franchise, Saif said, "It upsets me when people say Jack Sparrow because it's really not. These are the elements that our culture has given cinema and this is something very seeped in India. The Naga Sadhu, the dreadlocks, bandana and his ash face, even the red jacket comes from the East India Company, so it's a character from our time."

In the movie, Saif Ali Khan plays the lead role of Uday Bhan in the film. As soon as the first look of the movie went viral, people started comparing Saif with Jon Snow from Game Of Thrones. He is seen wearing black armour and a flowing cape in the poster and sits gripping a sword.

    5. Omkara
Vishal Bhardwaj's adaptation of William Shakespeare's Othello, Omkara broke Saif’s chocolate boy image. Saif’s character Langda Tyagi wasn’t even in the lead role but he overshadowed everyone in the movie. From the raw look to a limp, Saif as Langda Tyagi proved that he is a polished actor.
    6. Go Goa Gone
Saif Ali Khan's look in his film Go Goa Gone raised many eyebrows as he was seen in an all-blonde look in the movie. A source had earlier told NDTV, “A lot of looks were tried. Different hairstyles and different hair colours were tested before he zeroed on the backcombed mafia look. Saif put his apprehensions aside and went ahead with the collective convictions of director-duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK and himself. He even beefed up for his role, learnt to speak Russian, and got tattoos painted on his body."
    7. Sacred Games
Sacred Games was a revolutionary show in the history of Indian web series. With the show, Saif marked his debut in the world of digital content. He had to get the physicality right to play Sartaj Singh, a Sikh character. In an interview with MensXP, he had said, “Physically, for the first part, it was putting on some good muscle and weight. There were even some higher-heeled shoes. Not like I look like a tough sardarji normally, but I did look like a tough Sardar. So that was an achievement because they are quite tough and heavy.” He also added, “Learning Punjabi, figuring out body language, proper acting, and then figuring out that everybody has a different ‘approach’ to things.” Well, needless to say he did manage to impress us as Sartaj Singh is now etched in our memories forever.
Which character of Saif did you like the most? Let us know in the comments section below.

The alleged pornographic racket of businessman Raj Kundra is becoming complicated with each passing day. Every day new details from the investigation of the case are coming to the fore.

Now, the first charge sheet of the case has been filed and the Mumbai police have attached a PPT presentation that reveals the revenue and profit targets set by Kundra for his ‘back-up’ pornography venture, Bollyfame Media Limited.
This app was launched after their app HotShots was banned from Google Playstore and Apple last year.
According to a report by Mid-Day, Raj Kundra had projected a gross revenue of Rs 146 crore and a net Rs 34 crore for 2023-24 for his backup venture. Also, the year on year profits was mentioned to get doubled every year.

The presentation also included the revenue and net profit for the years 2021-22 and 2022-23. For 2021-22, Kundra and his associates were expecting the company to make a gross revenue of Rs 36.50 crore and a net profit of about Rs 4.77 crore. For 2022-23, they were expecting a gross revenue and net profit of around Rs 73 crore each.
Also, the charge sheet did not mention if this estimate was for Bollyfame or some other company.
The Mumbai Crime Branch officials have also recorded the statement of actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra. A police official told ANI,  “Shilpa Shetty hasn’t been given clean chit yet. All possibilities/angles are being probed. Forensic auditors are appointed and they are looking into the transactions of all accounts in this case. Other directors of Viaan Industries (Raj Kundra’s company) will also be called for statements as of and when needed. Actor Sherlyn Chopra has been called for a statement as a witness in this case.”

Earlier, a police official also told TOI, “We accessed 48 TB data. Huge data was deleted once our case was filed on instructions from Raj Kundra. Also, after Kundra’s arrest, more data was deleted.”

Aamir Khan is someone who’s known for putting his 100% dedication into his roles and goes the extra mile to make it look perfect on the big screen. We all have seen his movie Rang De Basanti and were mighty impressed by his character because of how he portrayed him on screen. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the movie that was released in 2006 is relevant even today.

In his autobiography The Stranger, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has revealed a shocking detail wherein Aamir demanded a hefty amount of fine if the film wasn’t made on time and this is why the director could make the movie before its deadline.
In a newly released excerpt from his autobiography, Mehra said, “He imbibed the soul of DJ and Chandrashekhar Azad and gave his own interpretation to it, ranging from the sublime to the mundane qualities of the character. Bharathi (the filmmaker’s wife) had given me a quote which she had read, ‘There are two primary choices in life. Either you let things be the way they are. Or take responsibility for changing them.’ I sent Aamir the same as a one-line brief for his character impetus.”

Elaborating on Aamir’s clause, he said, “Aamir is a visionary and understands everything that is going wrong or right with the creative process. Sometimes, tough decisions like ‘let’s shoot for 10 more days’ became easy because Aamir backed the need to do it. Also, he had no ego about whose scene it was. If the scene belonged to the other boys, he would happily stay in the background because the film’s narrative was the Bible that could not be tampered with. Aamir’s cinematic understanding remains unparalleled in our industry. Without his nod, RDB would have been another dreamer’s script gathering the dust of apathy and inertia. While signing on the dotted line, Aamir included a clause, which was the reason I ended up making the movie on time in the first place. Here’s an example: ‘If my fee is 4 crore and you don’t pay me on time, then you’ll have to pay me 8 crores for defaulting,’ he had said. I had never even seen 8 crores till then.”
With an ensemble cast including Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, Kunal Kapoor, Atul Kulkarni, and Siddharth, Rang De Basanti created ripples back in 2006 and acknowledged the loopholes of the government and our political system.

We are glad that Aamir kept the clause and helped the director to finish the movie before time.
