Recently, former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar slid into the DMs of one of his social media critics and decided to have a one-on-one with him. Little did he know, that critic would go on to share the entire conversation online and the whole thing would simply blow up on Twitter.
I didn’t want to share this personal chat in public, even though it’s full to shit. But couldn’t help, coz ppl need to know this side of this man. @imjadeja would be proud of what he did to prove you wrong. @BCCI is this the kind of man you would want in your com panel in future? pic.twitter.com/AUjX301Foz

With a set of screenshots of the chat, he had with Manjrekar, Twitter user Soorya Narayanan expressed his dissent towards the cricketer-turned-analyst while further mentioning that this time around it was the ‘common man’ who blocked the celebrity.
In the chat, Manjrekar relives the infamous “bits and pieces” debacle against Ravindra Jadeja that had tainted his reputation as a cricket analyst in the eyes of the Indian viewers.

However, this time around, he went on to say that it was because “Jadeja does not know English” why he misinterpreted the “bits and pieces” comment, further adding that Jadeja’s frustrated response towards his comments was written by someone else on his behalf.

Still i have played twice the number of matches you have played and i m still playing. Learn to respect ppl who have achieved.i have heard enough of your verbal diarrhoea.@sanjaymanjrekar

“Still i have played twice the number of matches you have played and i m still playing. Learn to respect ppl who have achieved.i have heard enough of your verbal diarrhoea. @sanjaymanjrekar,” Jadeja had written from his Twitter account back then.
Now, let’s take a look at how Harsha Bhogle dealt with Ravindra Jadeja’s so-called “English problem” when he came across an awkward situation while interviewing after a match.

    4️⃣ fours
    4️⃣ sixes

It was in December 2019, and the Men in Blue had won a three-match ODI series against the touring West Indies and it was Jadeja and Shardul Thakur’s thunderous batting partnership which led to the winning runs for the team.
Bhogle asked Thakur about his ability to bat in English before taking his questions to Jadeja while shifting to Hindi. However, when the cricketer replied in English, Bhogle took no time in switching languages and the rest of the interview went smoothly.
Nonetheless, the ‘Voice of Indian Cricket’ still had to listen to some online criticism and it was his response to such criticism that made everyone fall in love with the man once again.
Okay, since I have been flooded with responses on this.... In a post match presentation, you always go in the language the player is most comfortable in. I've known Jadeja for 10 yrs now and so began in his language. The moment he indicated he was good to go in English, I shifted
