The Manikarnika actor shared an image of herself in a yoga posture and wrote, "I was feeling tired and weak with slight burning sensation in my eyes for past few days, was hoping to go to Himachal so got my test done yesterday and today the result came I am covid positive.β
Whatβs odd is that the actor called the virus βnothing but a small time fluβ which got too much attention in the press.Β

"I have quarantined myself, I had no idea this virus is having a party in my body, now that I know I will demolish it, people please donβt give anything any power over you, if you are scared it will scare you more, come letβs destroy this Covid -19 it is nothing but a small time flu which got too much press and now psyching few people. Har Har Mahadevβ she said in her Instagram post.Β

India has been seeing the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the world this past week with record deaths caused by the virus.Β Β
It seems a bit tone-deaf for Ranaut to call the virus βnothing but a small time fluβ at a time when India has been experiencing a catastrophic second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic with the death toll only soaring by the day.Β Β
Kangana has been called out in the past for not following mask hygiene in public.Β Β

Kangana was spotted at the Mumbai Airport and at a dubbing studio without a mask where some paparazzi even called it βdumbness at its best.βΒ
The actor was also recently banned from the micro-blogging site Twitter after she posted a series of tweets that were in violation of the social media companyβs rules and regulations.Β Β
She was found violating Twitterβs hate speech and abusive behaviour policies. Kangana has now moved her activity to Instagram and has vowed to continue voicing her opinions on the social media platform.Β

For what itβs worth, Battlegrounds Mobile India is expected to be an India-exclusive battle royale game that is expected to launch soon.Β
However, it seems like the Indian version of the game may not have been built from the ground up and might be taking gameplay mechanics from the Chinese version of PUBG Mobile called Peacekeeper Elite.Β
Krafton has not explicitly pointed out that the game has been made from scratch for the Indian market.Β
Β© Unsplash/onur-binay
In a separate 91MobilesΒ report, the game is expected to come with India-specific features such as a mobile number requirement from an adult, gaming time limit for 3 hours and a limit on the daily micro-transaction amount for users under the age of 18 years.Β
These seem rather similar to features one can find on Peacekeeper Elite, apart from other changes the game is expected to make.Β
IGN IndiaΒ reports that Battleground Mobile Indiaβs gameplay might be made in China, especially, considering the toned-down version of the game.Β
Speaking to IGN India, Daniel Ahmad, who is a senior analyst at Niko Partners, said:Β
βTencent, which develops and publishes Peacekeeper Elite in China, has also added an anti-addiction system to the game as per regulations. This requires players to register with their real name and ID before they can start playing the game. If the player is under the age of 18 they will be subject to time and spend restrictions within the game. Chinaβs game regulator has mandated this since the end of 2019 in an effort to curb gaming addiction among the youth.β
Β© Tencent Games
It seems like features have been directly lifted from the Chinese build of PUBG Mobile when taking Ahmadβs quote into perspective.Β
Battlegrounds Mobile India is expected to launch with green blood, full-dressed characters and other adjustments that Ahmad believes might make their way to Battlegrounds Mobile India as well.Β
βGiven the concern around the game in the country, we would expect the new version announced this week to incorporate similar elements, in addition to storing user data locally,β he told IGN India.Β
βHowever, it is still unclear whether these changes and a name change would please regulators in India as the main concern revolves around whether Tencent, a Chinese company, would still be involved in the development of the title.β

Krafton has been particularly gated about Battlegrounds Mobile India and its current status with Indiaβs Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.Β
MensXP has reached out to Krafton asking about its permission status with the Indian Government. Weβve also reached out asking whether the game is using the same source code and engine as Tencentβs PUBG Mobile India.Β
We have not received a response from the Korean developer, as of now.Β

From being trained as a pilot, to playing a vital character in one of Indian televisionβs most iconic shows, and then finally making his way into the Hindi film industry, Thakur Anoop SinghΒ has really come a long way.
Β© Thakur Anoop Singh
He has been associated with a number of varied television projects such as Ramayan, Akbar Birbal, Mahabharat, Chandragupta Maurya, and movies such as Commando 2, and Rogue.
Β© Thakur Anoop Singh
But for bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts, he is in a different league altogether.Β Β
He earned the title of 'Mr World' in 2015, when he won gold in the 'Fitness Physique' category of the seventh WBPF World Bodybuilding and Physique Championships, held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Β© Thakur Anoop Singh
Given that he is a fashion icon for many of his fans, and that he has a rather unique and suave sense of style, we caught up with him for a brief chat.Β
Following are the edited excerpts:
Tell us about your journey, how did you start as an actor?
I was a pilot before and had just completed my training in the US. It was during the global recession from 2009 to 2011 when I decided to try myself as an actor as that was something that I felt attracted to.Β
I started off without even knowing where will this lead me and how will I survive. I guess itβs the blessings of my parents, the grace of God and sheer determination.Β
Β© Thakur Anoop Singh
Thereβs this perception that men do not need to be fashion-conscious and that only a few men have an intrinsic style that they are born with and need to stick with. Do you agree?
I donβt believe in this at all. I have a simple logic - when it comes to fashion or style, I consider myself to be a brand and a trendsetter, and that anything I wear gets highlighted as the trend to follow.Β
I believe you need to just carry what you wear with confidence! Style is how you carry your clothes and yourself.Β
What are some sartorial staples that every guy should have in their closet?
I prefer a slim white shirt coz that goes with everything if you canβt decide on anything. Other than that, I think every guy should have a pair of white leather sneakers, blue slim-fit jeans, a black shirt, and a polo neck T-shirt.Β
Β© Thakur Anoop Singh
How would you define your personal style statement?
A style statement defines your authentic self and thatβs exactly how I like to keep myself, as authentic as possible! I love aristocratic colours and outfits. I like to wear pieces and outfits that ooze aristocracy and royalty.Β
So, that is my style statement - Keep it Regal.Β
Who is that one style icon that you always look up to? Why?
I consider Saif Ali Khan to be a great style icon. He is royalty by birth and upbringing and it shows in his style and clothing which is very subtle yet very regal.
Β© Thakur Anoop Singh
What do you prefer to wear on a date?
A black, slim-fit shirt, black trousers, a slim belt, a pair of black patent leather shoes and a good and strong cologne.Β
What is that one fashion trend that you don't understand or are unable to relate to?
I donβt think I am unable to understand any specific trend but I donβt know if I can carry very loose clothes or baggy silhouettes.Β
I love to wear tapered and shapely clothes that are stylish and accentuate my body proportions.Β
Β© Thakur Anoop Singh
Who is that one historical figure that you'd love to dress up as?
Iβd love to dress up as two people actually, Maharana Pratap, Bhagat Singh.
What has been the best fashion advice that you've received to date?
To try and include more floral prints into my wardrobe. It was actually a compliment that I got in one of my shoots!Β
Β© Thakur Anoop Singh
What advice would you give someone who wants to pursue a career as an actor?
That dreams do come true but patience and perseverance is the key!Β
The profession tests you left right and centre. You even may have to live on very limited food in testing times till you get work.Β
But once your work starts speaking for you, thereβs no turning back! The question is are you willing to go that far.
What do you think of men using cosmetics?
I think itβs absolutely normal.Β
Every man has a right to look good, fix the little imperfections that their skin has, and feel more confident! If cosmetics can help, so be it.
Β© Thakur Anoop Singh
Do you have a dedicated skincare routine? Tell us about it?
To be honest, I am very bad at sticking to a skin routine.Β
My doctor has to remind me every 2 days, asking me to apply the products she gave me, even though, I may have forgotten to actually buy it! But yes, I am careful with my face wash and sunscreen.Β
Β© Thakur Anoop Singh
One historical era that you find extremely fashionable?Β
I think the 1970βs from the west.Β
One celebrity who can teach everyone else a lesson or two on how to pull off the Indian aesthetic elegantly, when it comes to menswear.
Hritik Roshan.Β
Your favourite style icon from Bollywood that you would like to work with, for a video or a film?
SaΓ―f Ali Khan, for sure.Β
Β© Thakur Anoop Singh
One traditional Indian menswear item you believe every Indian man should have in his wardrobe, and why.
A white short-kurta with halved sleeves and a pair of slim-fit pyjamas and mojaris. I think it is regal and yet very stylish!Β
Do you prefer - Tailored Suits Or Ready-To-Wear Suits?
Tailored, always.
Sneakers or Boots?
Boots.

Traditional Ethnic Wear, Or Something Contemporary?
I am a Rajput so, traditional ethnic wear is what attracts me the most.Β
Β© Thakur Anoop Singh
Multicoloured Prints or Monochrome?
Multicoloured Prints, any day.
As much as people like to bash social media, thereβs no denying the fact that a large chunk of our lives is being shaped by it. What better way to really gauge this phenomenon than by the rise of influencers over platforms like YouTube and Instagram? Indeed, the world has become one small βgramβ.Β
As a series βInfluencing The βGramβ seeks to explore how social media influencers changed the way we think of fashion over the decade, and how for most of them, even though they consider themselves to be ardent renegades, fashion and style contribute immensely to their online personas.

The Indian Government has put a halt on approving the imports of Wi-Fi modules from China that are causing companies like Dell, HP, Oppo, Xiaomi, Lenovo and others to delay smartphone and other product launches in the country for months, according to a report by Reuters.Β
Β© Reuters
Imports of Chinese finished electronic devices are particularly being affected, which include electronics like Bluetooth speakers, wireless earphones, smartphones, smartwatches and laptops.Β
Any device that, in fact, contains a WiFi module is being delayed, according to Reutersβ sources.
The report also details that the problem has persisted for a while as Indiaβs Communications Ministryβs Wireless Planning and Coordination (WPC) arm has withheld approvals for these devices since at least November 2020.Β
Applications by Indian companies that import finished products from China are also awaiting approval.Β
In fact, more than 80 applications from firms originating from the US, China and Korea are also pending with the WPC. The pending approval suggests the Indian government is taking a tougher stance on Chinese-made products that are being imported into the country.Β
India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been pushing for a self-reliant country and even convinced some companies to start more of their production of electronic devices in India.Β
Β© Reuters
βThe governmentβs idea is to push companies to manufacture these products in India,β one of Reutersβ sources said. βBut tech companies are caught in a difficult situation β making in India would mean big-ticket investments and a long wait for returns, on the other hand, the government-imposed hurdle on imports means a potential loss of revenues.β
India has been apprehensive of China ever since the border tensions and geopolitical issues arose in June 2020. The tensions have resulted in India banning a number of Chinese apps, and most recently have left outΒ Chinese networking companies from conducting 5G trials in the country.Β

Bollywood has seen many actors but only a few make a mark and rule the silver screen. We have seen many talents getting wasted in Bollywood as they just donβt get the right roles. Many actors/actresses have not even gotten a fair chance of showcasing their talent and their roles in the films are so average that the audience is unable to see their real potential.Β
Now, this is majorly because all hero roles are given to the actors who have a monopoly in the industry. However, the trend is changing now and underrated actors too are making their niche in Bollywood.Β
Hereβs a list of 5 talents of Bollywood who were underutilized in almost all their films-Β
Rahul Bose View this post on Instagram
Rahul Bose is a classic example of βBollywood doesnβt know what to do with him.β He was seen in Zoya Akhtarβs Dil Dhadakne do. However, apart from a few handful of roles, the industry couldnβt properly utilize his talent, and it's extremely heartbreaking.Β Β
Chandrachur Singh
He was recently seen after many years in the Hotstar Original series Aarya. However, the actor did a few films in the 90s including Kya Kehna, Josh and Daag: The Fire that were well-received by the audience.Β
But, we didnβt see much of him on-screen and the fairly talented actor never got his due and the recognition that he deserved.Β Β
Jaaved Jaaferi View this post on Instagram
Javed made his debut in Subhash Ghaiβs Meri Jung where he was seen playing the role of Amrish Puriβs son Vicky Thakraal. He was also seen co-hosting a show Boogie Woogie. Now, we all know that he has a great sense of humor and he was appreciated by all for his role in Salaam Namaste but the audience never got a chance to watch more of this actor due to lack of roles.Β Β
Riteish Deshmukh View this post on Instagram
Riteish Deshmukh made a debut in Bollywood with the film Tujhe Meri Kasam which didnβt do well at the box office. However, the actor soon found his footing in the industry, and directors/producers found his comic timing to be extraordinary. But, he became a typecast for comic roles and wasnβt ever offered anything different.Β
He also played a role of a psycho killer in Ek Villain which showcased his skills and proved how he is just another wasted talent in Bollywood.Β
Mahi GillΒ View this post on Instagram
She made her debut with Anurag Kashyapβs Dev D and later became a victim of getting typecast roles. Every role she has ever played is of a woman who is an alcoholic. She is a brilliant actress and the industry needs to offer her roles thatβll showcase her real talent.Β
