Letting go is tough but sometimes letting go is the right thing to do in cases where nothing works out. For e.g Australian cricketer Glen Maxwell, who was playing for Preity Zinta’s King XI Punjab last year and was reportedly bought for a staggering Rs. 10.75 crores, failed to perform and was eventually let gone this year. However, things took a staggering and a surprising turn when he joined RCB under Virat Kohli’s umbrella and has not only been performing well, but has turned out to be a huge asset for the team, specially in today’s match.

Love watching @Gmaxi_32 Bat .. He might just end up being the player of the tournament .. slightly under the radar in the same team as @imVkohli & @ABdeVilliers17 !!! @RCBTweets looking the strongest I have seen them ... #IPL2021 @cricbuzz

Witnessing his sensational form has been a big surprise for everyone and that includes, we are presuming Preity herself as well. Now after today’s match, the fact that he is taking RCB up the ladder has been cemented and to pour some balm on an achy heart, Twitter broke into a meme fest imagining how Miss Zinta would be feeling, after watching Maxwell’s performance today.

As the country continues to struggle and limp on the poor conditions of human life amidst the ongoing pandemic, it is probably one of the darkest periods of mankind that will go down in Indian history. India has set a record of death tolls and spike in cases rising by the minute and while state governments are trying to fathom and bring in measures to combat it, it is the dire need of the hour that the Centre soon intervenes on a national level. With full faith in the government, people are only ‘hoping’  that some relief comes their way. Ex-PM Dr. Manmohan Singh, who is one of the most respected and educated leaders not only in the country, but across the globe, has now written an extensive letter to PM Modi Ji, suggesting a plan on how we can deal with the corona crisis in the country. The long letter has over 5 key suggestions which include giving states the flexibility to define who the frontline workers are, and even supporting vaccine supporters in maximising their production units.
Key to our fight against Covid19 must be ramping up vaccination effort. We must resist temptation to look at absolute numbers being vaccinated, focus instead on percentage of population vaccinated: Former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh writes to PM Modi on ramping up vaccination programme pic.twitter.com/ZD5SbQOE0u

A lot of people on social media are actually praising him and hoping his suggestions can be implemented soon.
Listen to Dr Manmohan Singh’s suggestions Mr PM. Sensible, implementable, voice of reason. #ManmohanSingh #coronavirus pic.twitter.com/iWnXTcIgB4
    — Supriya Shrinate (@SupriyaShrinate) April 18, 2021Ex-PM Dr. #ManmohanSingh writes to the PM Modi making some brilliant suggestions with his usual astute political brain. This is the difference between an educated leader and someone who just doesn't care.

Modi must shed his ego and accept his suggestions to fight the crisis. pic.twitter.com/sQFdQjns7C
    — George (@VijayIsMyLife) April 18, 2021Dil ko behlane ke liye khayal accha hai Ghalib and all that but is there any in which our former PM - the good Dr. Singh (#ManmohanSingh ) can be back. He is being proved right time after time since 2014. pic.twitter.com/0wKvrmADDG
    — Sumit Katyal (@SumitKatyal2) April 18, 2021#ManmohanSingh has rightly come up on need for elaborate vaccination plan & program. Size of population & availability will take few yrs. To fight corona in coordinated manner, our political parties, ldrs & govt at Centre & States need to start working with trust, synergy & faith
    — 🇮🇳 BN Sharma, IG (Retd) (@BholaNath_BSF) April 18, 2021Currently, there is no scope of a debate of whether the ex-PM belongs to the opposition or why is he breaking his silence on this matter. What one must consider is that the economist has a history of helping India sail through some of the worst financial crises  in the past and even now , if the centre approves, maybe some of his suggestions could eventually benefit the nation. Here’s hoping that we all come out stronger and better. Please stay indoors and keep yourself and your loved ones safe.
